E-flite Super Cub 25e Maiden & Dusk Flight

i`m thinking about which one to chose - the Super Cub or the Beaver from eflite. Anybody out there who knows and Fly's both? Which one is easier to fly?

I have flown them both, they both fly nice, not much differance. The Beaver has a little larger wing span and will float on you in the air as will the cub.t I think the Beaver does it a little more..Good luck on you choices..Tim

does this need a lot of room to land in? do you think a big col de sac would be fine?

@Fsimfreak Generally not. Even if you could manage the airplane in that kind of space, it's a really bad idea to fly on the street.

@jasmine2501 yeah i wouldnt fly on the street, there is a big field with an empty col de sac in the middle and i just want to make sure it can stop relatively quickly. thanks

I have a big Piper Super Cruiser - with the Power 32 it is massively over-powered. It's a little bigger than this Super Cub too (WS 71 inch). Do you have a reason for going so crazy with power on this one?

@jasmine2501 had and extra E-flite 46 from and old project and had no other use at that time of installation. This motor can go to 5 cell but with the 4 cell and 13 X 10 prop it flys well. no plans to run a 5 cell. LOL, I can curise at have power all day.. Thanks for your cool comment.--Tim

Sweet plane and vid. I see u were landing sans flaps... Does it balloon too much? Didn't u mix some down elevator? Also, the guys at the lhs told me to use the power 25 because the power 32 was overkill.... But u threw in the power 46!!!! Is it crazy fast? U can probably hover it with that motor lol.

@apodacainc Yes all great points Yes I have down Elevator when flaps are down, I 'm running the Power 46 on 4 Cells so it make good power if you go 5 cell then look out.. LOL LOL thanks for visitng and commenting.. Tim

I love this plane but have wrecked mine twice. I have no problems in the air but for some reason on two takes offs I have lost control, last one I think was a CG issue as the battery was moved a bit forward making it easier for the cowl to go on. The first one was too large of a prop and I powered up too quickly and torque rolled it into the dirt. I love the looks and can't wait to get bck in the in air. You did a great job flying!!!

Nice bird Tim. Lights look good in the video. Move off the pavement! That thing is made for grass & dirt ;) Do you have a set of floats that fit? I'm sure it would also be a blast on water.

Good model, a little pricey but nicely detailed kit. I wonder if The big tundra wheels by Du-bro would work with this model, they really enhance the look of a bush plane.

Nice! Didn't you use the flaps?

Could you land and take off on two wheels, not three.. Taxi on two wheels, take off, and land on two wheels and then let the tail touch the ground??

It looks like a very nice plane.

It was very windy during this flight so I did not use the flaps, but I did deploy them in flight and it was just to windy to use for landing. Yes tou can do all the wheel landings and take off on two wheels and so on.. Thanks for you comment..Tim
