please!!!! somebody help me on this..... i have a 350 top to bottom rebuilt with an rv cam and flat top pistons dont know why i will not start.. at first try, i thought my starter was bad and went ahead and got a new one but its doing the same thing it sounds like the battery is low which starts a full size suv vehicle. thanks

@jhizzylawnman oh thanks man i actually have fixed the problem. had too much compression and i went ahead and removed 2 spark pluggs from each side... then tried to start it again and then put the spark pluggs back, started like new.....

Next time read the cam mfg card, especially the part about cam breakin procedures. If you only ran it for about 15 secs for the video, it probably lived, but not good practice.

There was this really beat up aerostar van it sounded like death coming after you you could feel the sound in the ground from blocks away,I have no idea how that v6 was so loud because I don't even think no manifolds could be this loud. Ever hear a muffler blow up?it was like a muffler blowing up but every time it fired

whoa....no manifolds or headers even....your brave haha! when i was a wee Lad i did the same thing and burnt 4 exhaust valves..i later learned that they dont get hurt untill you shut the engine down and the sudden temp change cause them to crack/warp severly...

@Caminojr85 this is very true i have seen it done that is why it never hurts to take your time and clean every little hole and big hole 2 or 3 times and blow it out with air a lot even then something's can still go wrong.... this guy is kind of a numpty i would never fire a motor with out headers thats just asking to kill your new motor

did you know if you run a motor to long without headers or manifolds it would worp the exhaust valves.

and the 4" retading sucks on take off.

its better to advance the cam 4".
