After that from Irons In The Fire to the last cd Congo Square Lady T wrote, produced and arranged all of them so out of 13 cds Teena did all 11 on her own. Teena was signed to Motown in 1976 first project didn't come out until 1979 thanks to Rick but Teena held her own.I get tired of hearing Rick James protege. RIP Ivory Queen Of Soul!!

One thing I can give the Ivory Queen of Soul aka Motown's first white artist is that she always showed the African American community respect by recognizing its influence on her music. Yes, music is a universal language that brings people together but I think it's really tired that people on here won't admit how significant blacks were and are to jazz, blues, early rock n roll, rhythm blues and gospel. Since black music began, it's always been imitated but never duplicated. Lady T was real. RIP!

To all of Teena Marie fans. Not sure if you know this but on Amazon.com they have the Lady T, Irons In The Fire and It Must Be Magic back in print. I recevied mine today. The lady t cd had 4 remixes of Behind The Groove and Irons in the fire had square biz plus all the original song on it. My advice is order these great cd's before they go out of print again. Sad Teena is gone but happy they put her material back in print. I for one will keep her memory alive. RIP Lady T miss you like crazy!
