He was my first Christian concert - January 1987. I remember that because my friends and I were standing outside Wheaton College having a cigarette, in a blizzard, while our coats were saving out seats. What a blast!
Oh my god. Use to rock out to Rick Kua in the third grade. Loved to watch him on Fire By Night! This is so, hate to say it now, cheesey! i guess for the time it reached a many people. However, If one were totry and show this now, well...
my godparents gave me a tape with this on it when i was like 10 and when i started battling suicide at 13, this song played in my head and made me think twice. Its been over 20 years and not many days have passed that i haven't wanted to die. so, i'm thankful for this song in some way cuz i believe that someday i'll want to be alive and life can be ok.
God Bless you and be with you through those times you want to give up, please don't you will be giving up the greatest gift of all JESUS!! TAKE CARE:)
really good song,i went to school with rick & his brother nicky(henniniger high syracuse,n.y. '73-'75)used to see his band C.R.A.C. play all the time.best band in syracuse at the time!
I wish more CCM artist would reach out like this. I have this song on my ipod and remembered the "suicide" epidemic in the 80's sparking nightline, 20/20 type shows because of the problem. Just yesterday i got the news of a friends sister that commited suicide. I had a cousin a few years back that took his life. This message still needs to be heard. Thanks Rick Cua for this message and Rock On.
awesome, awesome, awesome!! I have been wating for some vintage Rick Cua on youtube. I saw rick in the late eighties with Greg X Volz in Las Vegas. it was awesome. Do you have any footage of Greg X Volz solo years?
Rick Cua from the rock band the Outlaws, Dan Peek from the pop/rock band America, Mark Farner from Grand Funk Railroad and Kerry Livgren from Kansas all gave their hearts to Christ, were transformed and used their musical talent to glorify God.....too cool!!!!
I saw Rick Cua back in 1986 at Valparaiso University. He was with Steve Camp and Rob Frazier. I was 13 at the time and it was the first concert I'd ever been to.

I gave this song to kids in school. There was a suicide chain and I felt obligated to
do something. I copied it on blank tapes
and handed them out. Many kids were touched by the Lord. The suicide chain stopped.
