  • Bernanke is a con artist for sure, but Bernie Sanders is no better.

  • Fucking theives!

  • @thuderbay Both Obamas and Homeland Security Janet Napolitano are thieves. They are engaged in bank fraud. Ben Bernanke thinks that he is above the law as well. The problem is that the prosecutors literally are the thieves. Bank & court records of me DEAD!Decedent's trusts and insurance trusts and REITS which R linked to the main fraud dissolving the USA. SAC attorney made the estate of Honey R Siegal deceased which is the Federal Reserve. I have the ability to save the USA. Honey R Siegal(NOTDEAD

  • Of course B. Bernanke is going to say that but as far as failures of the regulators, that is the fault of the fed res too, they pulled the teeth of CFTC when they were trying to do something and as far as any other regulating, it is all done in house, which is the biggest scam and mistake a government can do, f-ing crazy to let the fox guard the hen house. There are only two scenarios, either congressmen are completely stupid or completely corrupt. Either way they end up being worthless turds.

  • keep bailing out everyone. the faster you bring this bitch down the more money i'll make.

  • i hate fascism and crony capitalism. all i hear is verbal diarrhea spewing out of their mouths non stop and it never makes a bit of sense. can you just answer yes or no? did you fuck up? yes. are we going to hell in a hand basket? I want answers that are in english.

  • he looks like a dick head. i wouldn't want to show my face in public once the people figure out they're paying for his bonus's and private jets and he isn't even an employee of the US Government.

  • :37 watch that smirk.

  • bernanke=scumsuckingpig

  • HA! "failures of regulators"??!? This is coming from a guy who has continuously argued against regulation??? What a wanktard!

  • enjoy your last days of freedom mr bernanke

  • Ain't gona be long now- I C people like Patricia McAllister at Occupy LA is calling 4 all Zionist Jews to be run out of USA.. She was fired, but- like 100 times B4 in history- people tire of Jew treachery, hubris, duplicity. Maybe time #101 will do it.. Michael Collins Piper's new book "Confessions of an Anti-Semite." Victor Thorn's new book "9/11- Made in Israel." Christogenea. org web site. Texe Marrs' book "Conspiracy of 6 Pointed Star." Holohoax will become a clear issue..

  • wall street is a front. it goes to the federal reserve as well as the government. youtube illuminati or nwo or gmo foods or chemtrail or black technology. wall street is only the start

  • Illegal activity is now known as "excessive risk taking"

  • Mr Sanders is a Good man, who cares about the Poor and middle class, for that reason he and others who think the same way will never become president, GET IT!!

  • I think they should be as peaceful as can be but if they get ignored for to long i would find it justifiable if they burnt down a government owned building or the buildings on wallstreet. This probably will end in riots because they will only be ignored. At the real tea party movement in the seventeen hundreds they broke into a british ship to throw all the tea in the water and that would be considered riots and illegal but yet we praise the act in the name of freedom today.

  • @UnibloggerV No.The Tea party was just regurgitating what Fox news says.Fox was saying how we shouldn't raise taxes but really they were only talking about the rich. The people at wall Street probably are laughing there asses off that they got those retards to argue in there favor. OW are talking about not raising taxes on middle and lower income families and to prevent that the rich have to pay there fair share.

  • bernanke = shapeshifter

  • Wow. As soon as he says "Yes" theres a noted arching of the eyebrows that seems to convey uncertainty/ deception

  • Mr. Sanders is smart for listening to the will of the people. Bernanke will wear the badguy hat now.

  • Both men are correct. The question is: Why are the new rules not implemented or enforced?

  • EAT THE RICH! TASTES LIKE CHICKEN! 9/11 was computer simulation shown over and as live tv. Even some of the victims were computer simulations and photoshopped. The proof is in! Check out my favorites for proof and more truth. INVESTIGATE. ACT.

  • Scum dripping pig. You can see puss dripping down bernanke chin.

  • The sad fact of the matter is that Bernanke is a bold face Lieing ass. People before 06 were saying stop the illegal securitization. Bernanke was one of them saying to congress not regulate anything at all.He said if they did it it would screw things up.And what he meant was that it would screw things up so his buddies couldnt make trillions. If you take time to watch the MOVIE Inside Job, they show everyone involved and 1 lady who made noise about it and got shut down by Bernanke and congress.

  • yes.. i also respectfully disagree... :)

Brilliant crooks aren't they.. i give 'm credit for that..

If now only they give us some "credit"

  • CONGRESS IS TO BLAME ALONG WITH THE FEDERAL RESERVE.

  • Blaming greed is such a cheap answer, if greed is able to rock the system, then the system is not designed with intentions for humans to operate in. The issue sits squarely on the central planners for failing to grasp the long term effects of their policies. Like when government builds strings to businesses to control their outcomes, yet coming out surprised that businesses are also able to pull on those very same strings.

  • @TicTocKnight "Blaming greed is such a cheap answer,'

Where did you see that they are blaming for the"greed"?

    Show me.

As far as I can see, they are blaming the corruption, "Citizens united" in particular.

Don't make your argument over based on your assumption.

  • @allgoo19 0:27 "did wall street's greed and recklessness cause this recession...." The inquisitor clearly stated greed, which would imply that the asker believes greed to be one of the culprits. Whether deaf or suffering memory loss, re watch the clip. Mr. Sanders is not the only one to lay blame on greed. He is who I was addressing, and in addition the response back to Sanders was recklessness and regulators. Also business corruption being able to enter gov is due to the connections gov makes.

  • @TicTocKnight ""did wall street's greed and recklessness.."

    You change the context,

"Blaming greed is such a cheap answer,'

He's pointing out the combination of two.

It's like saying, drinking is illegal instead of saying "drinking & driving is illegal"

The technique is used quite often to manipulate the info. by *some* media outlet.

In your opinion, blaming "Greed & recklessness" is a cheap answer? The combination of two wasn't any part in crash of 2008?

  • @TicTocKnight "Whether deaf or suffering memory loss..."

Do you work for Fox news?

"The combination of two wasn't any part in crash of 2008?"

    Your answer?

  • @allgoo19 1) You accused me of falsehood, when it was clear that Mr. Sanders pointed at greed. Something that is clearly evident and verifiable, the fact that we are covering his use of the term is sad.

    2) No, I don't work for a news agency, but thanks for the random comment

    3) That quote is not in the clip (I checked it 3 times to be sure) and lacks reference, thus it means nothing in addition to being irrelevant to the fact that Sanders lay blame to greed, which was what my op covered.

  • @TicTocKnight "You accused me of falsehood.."

Accused? I told you like it is. If you didn't know what you were doing, then you are the one to be called deaf. am I wrong?

You said, blaming greed is a cheap answer. How about blaming "Greed & Recklessness" is still a cheap answer?

  • @TicTocKnight "You accused me.."

Before you go and hide, here's a few things that I want you to make clear.

Did Sanders say "Greed" or "Greed & recklessness"?

Does "greed" mean no difference from "greed & recklessness"?

  • @allgoo19 This is your rebuttal? Let alone the fact I gave mention to both in my second post. Reckless behavior is tied to chance for bigger gains (more gain higher risk, low gain lower risk), by listing it with greed (which specifies impure behavior) it would then mean the source for reckless behavior is greed. Recklessness is defined through actions, greed is defined by motivations. We act based on our motivations. Your lack of reasoning is scary to say the least.

  • @TicTocKnight "Reckless behavior is tied to chance..'

You are so willing to drop the "reckless" part make it appear meaningless. Actually, that part is more important than "greed" part.

Do you now what kind of "Recklessness" was taking place before the crash?

I'll give you a hint. It was the same "recklessness" that caused 1929 crash.

  • @TicTocKnight "This is your rebuttal? .."

And you forgot to answer this one,

Did Sanders say "Greed" or "Greed & recklessness"?

It shouldn't be difficult for you to answer this unless you suddenly(conveniently) became deaf.

  • @allgoo19 My entire post, literally my entire post was spent on that difference, explaining how just "greed" or "greed and recklessness" were the same and a trivial distinction. If recklessness is motivated by greed, does that not mean that recklessness is by extension greed in a form of an action. Your distinction is "did they have an underlying motive" or "did they have motivation and acted upon it" Motives only become realized if they are acted upon. Also in my second post I quoted both items

  • @TicTocKnight "my entire post was spent on that difference."

No. I looked at all your comments. I didn't see it. Post it again, if you think I'm wrong.

    My question was,

Did Sanders say "Greed" or "Greed & recklessness"?

Do you now what kind of "Recklessness" was taking place before the crash?

    Try again.

  • @allgoo19 part 1 "0:27 "did wall street's greed and recklessness cause this recession...." The inquisitor clearly stated greed, which would imply that the asker believes greed to be one of the culprits. Whether deaf or suffering memory loss, re watch the clip......" Does that bring back memories? I then linked together greed and recklessness in my previous post

  • @TicTocKnight "did wall street's greed and recklessness .."

Knowing that, why change the context, "Blaming greed is such a cheap answer." make it sounds like it's the only thing on the discussion? What was your purpose eliminating "recklessness" part? I gives impression that recklessness part is meaningless. Was that what you were trying to do?

    Answer this too.

"Do you now what kind of "Recklessness" was taking place before the crash?"

  • @allgoo19 part 2 "Do you now what kind of "Recklessness" was taking place before the crash?"

Now you introduced a new question, irrelevant to my op, but the reckless behavior was in the loaning industry, specifically over saturation of subprime loans, hedge funds, and CDOs. All of which was encouraged to in an attempt to increase home ownership. The fault was created by a gov idealists who placed institutions which rewarded such behavior.

  • @TicTocKnight "irrelevant to my op.."

    Of course it's relevant.

Why you criticize someone's comment on the subject you don't even know?

    Please answer.

  • @allgoo19 "Why you criticize someone's comment on the subject you don't even know?"

I might as well be talking to a wall. Perhaps you should reflect on your own question. Bernanke lays blame to current institutions just like the the other macro economic schools. Where Bernanke (Keynesian school) believes he has corrective policies to fix the faulty institutions which were placed earlier. Other economic schools (RBC, Austrian, etc), want to remove the institutions which lead to the recession.

  • @TicTocKnight "Bernanke lays blame..'

it's so much easier to talk about what you know. It's much harder to give right answer to questions and that's when you can prove the depth of your knowledge.

You know the word sub prime and it existed and it only describes the category of the borrowers less than capable of paying back, don't you"

Why the market clash didn't happen before 2008 as long as the category existed?

  • @allgoo19 1) Housing prices started falling in 06, which made the business of turning houses no longer profitable, where previously, if you bought a house you couldn't afford, you could simply sell it as its value would have increased within the year, thus earning a profit.

    2) The housing bubble was caused by the CRA which changed from a standardization of processes to that of outcomes, which required banks to increase CRA loans, which increased the use of the subprime variant

  • @TicTocKnight 1) Housing prices started falling in 06 (<-- incorrect, after 2007)

    Neither answer are main reason.

    Google, "Predatory lending Wiki"

"How Bush Helped Destroy the Economy"

In short: Predatory Lending Act repealed by W. Bush in 2004 triggered housing market bubble.

    Never heard about this?

  • @allgoo19 CRA/Predatory loans are heavily tied together, by needing to increase ratings, banks had to increase predatory loans, you may side with Krugman, that neither are to blame. Your history doesn't show up on any search on congressional activity, in fact no "Predatory Lending Act" in 04 shows up. Also sub prime loans increased in the late 90's, started dropping thereafter, which doesn't connect with your theory. Search "The Evolution of the Subprime Mortgage Market", it displays fluxuations

  • @TicTocKnight 'CRA/Predatory loans are heavily tied together.."

    They didn't need to be.

Whole world knew by 2004 what happened in Japan from 80s to 90s housing market bubble burst.

Why W. Bush signed to repeal the PLA?

  • @TicTocKnight "Your history doesn't show up on any search on ..'

Google, "Fannie Mae Wiki" scroll down to "2000s'

Excerpt: "In 2004, these rules(anti-predatory) were dropped and high-risk loans were again...'

  • @allgoo19 two things now 1) you just tied the entire collapse on the structure of cra and how it relates to fmfm, with the need to meet cra ratings/criteria (which I applaud you for). 2) but you now would now have to explain how/why predatory loans increased the most in the late 90's. The increases prior to 04 were exponentially greater than 04-06 time frame, which can be seen in my suggested article. Which would mean that the 04 point was not the turning point or source of the issue.

  • @TicTocKnight "you now would now have to explain.."

    No, I don't.

what I need to to show you is how recklessness played in this bubble.

Wasn't it bankers to push the anti predatory act(knowing the result).

Or if not, in your opinion, who else was it?

  • @TicTocKnight "two things now 1) you .."

Now going back to your original comment.

Do you still think Sanders is to be blamed for pointing out "greed & recklessness" as a cause of the housing market crash, as you said, "blaming greed is such a cheap answer" while willingly dropping "recklessness" part?

Greed alone may not be to be blamed, recklessness alone may not be to be blamed. But put them together as, "Greed & recklessness" wasn't the problem?

    Then what was?

  • @allgoo19 You are skipping my point 2 (which is about data trends over time), this is relevant because I look at systemic sources and the increases started occurring in the 90s. This is relevant to your question because greed and reckless behavior are constants, it is part of human nature. When we say greed/recklessness what does it mean? Nothing. How do you correct it? You can't. What you can correct, and what does fluctuate are institutions. Specifically ones that encourage bad behavior.

  • @TicTocKnight "explain how/why predatory loans increased the most in the late 90's.."

GSA was repealed in 2000 by Clinton. The risk was much less.

Real recklessness kicked in knowing they could use multiple amount of money then anti-predatory lending act was removed, by design.

"When we say greed/recklessness what does it mean?"

Driving is legal, so is drinking. Put them together, drinking and driving is illegal.

Problem is in you head, not understanding the difference.

  • @allgoo19 something had to occur before 2000 to have 90 increases, hence the systemic issues of predatory lending are tied with some reforms in the 90s with cra. With that in mind, we can physically point to the issue, and either add or remove legislation that made up the institution to fix it. Saying "greed/recklessness" is not critical thinking, you can't make/enforce a law that says "you can't be greedy/reckless". It is a lazy answer that does not get down to the root of the problem.

  • End the Fed!

  • bernanke is a con artist

  • i would, respectfully, disagree.

    pure gold

  • WEEEEE WANT GANDHIIIIIII!!!!!

  • I bet you everything that the one dislike is BEN BERNANKE himself...

  • The corruption on wall street and in our government should have the tea party chomping at the bit to get involved. This is their moment to shine.

  • Bernanke is a good liar.

  • Read ebook, God Stopping A Nuclear War', 99 cents, why isn't Wall Street interested in protecting American workers? If true? Think you know the real reason? Not a chance.

Read the book, it's about about two secret group minds hiding within Mankind.

One group mind composed of left brains, verbal intelligence, trying to control right brain labor, spatial right brain intelligence.

Secret war inside all of us.

God verus Satan or is it Wall Street verus labor?

  • never heard greenspan being grilled like this. He was like an a worshiped oracle when he showed up. it's a start.

  • Bernie Sanders your my HERO!

  • Okay, so the original Tea Party movement (Ron Paul's movement might I add to all the Neocons watching) and the OWS movement have similar grievances. But why is this being billed as some sort of "Left Wing" movement? I know plenty of conservatives, Libertarians, moderates, etc. out there in those streets? Why are we acting like only "LEFT WINGERS" are pissed at the banks or wall street or the Fed Reserve???????????

I have to be a "Hippie" to oppose bailouts? WTF?

I've been waiting for us to get some balls and finally stop these bastards like the people over-seas! Go look at Jesse Ventrua's tv episodes and you'll easily see why.

  • The Federal Reserve's cheap money policy and the laws Democrats passed to force banks to make sub-prime loans also played a role, as did Barney Frank's efforts to prevent reform of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

But is Bernanke ever going to acknowledge the role that the Federal Reserve played? No. Is Communist Bernie Sanders going to ever acknowledge the role the government played in creating the housing bubble? No, he wants only to attack private business and gain the gov't bigger & stronger.

  • @LesiureBoy Wow, did you just arrive via time machine from 1933 Germany? I'm from Germany, and if you ever visit there you better watch your filthy mouth or you might not make it back to the States. :-P

  • Substantial progress? How about making Bernanke quantify that statement. If he's going to be able to double speak and bullshit his way through the questions, why even bother to question him in the first place?

  • @w0y1z92753

i've wondered the same thing man.

the guy is lying his ass off in every hearing. what really is the point of having him answering questions.

the absurdity of letting one guy fiddle around with trillions of dollars is crazy.

  • @orangedac The answer is, I suppose, that it's all a public relations stunt. You know, to make it look like the government is holding the FED to some sort of account.

I don't know which to be more offended about really. The fact that the govt is trying to pull the wool over my eyes, or that they believe I'm stupid enough to buy this charade.

  • @UnibloggerV Which is why the Tea Party has become a joke these days. The little people of that movement have simply been lied too as to who to blame: liberals, Democrats, and Obama and little else.

The leadership of the Tea Party, Dick Armey's FreedomWorks, Cluster Fox, The Koch Brothers, and all the other well know right-wing millionaire mouth pieces out there are laughing their asses off in private at how easy it is to manipulate people's fears in the wrong direction.

  • Where do I see the rst of that? lol

  • @UnibloggerV Yes, someone who gets it, both movenments could come together and end the fed. They should have both sides meet on wall street under s banner saying End the Fed and they should sign an agreement that no matter what there views are on other things, we much end the fact that America and the world has a central bank owned by banks.
