Oh Buffy! Way back when, then, I thought I was the only one who heard you. Now, some 40 yrs later some people are finally, finally hearing the nuances of the message your have been put on the planet to deliver. What took them soooo long? Perhaps it's not too late. Or is it?
@AtomikHypnosis It is never too late. Grace never ceases to touch lives. When the truth is heard, it inspires and transforms souls, that is, if people are honestly seeking the truth, than they will find it and they will never be the same again.
@namesameasu In the early '70s she was still being suppressed by the U.S. gov't, and as she put it, "My career took a nosedive." At the time she assumed that tastes had simply changed, but she learned years later that other things were going on. . Some of my favorite songs by her are from the early '70s.
woohoo she's giving a concert at a natives festival near my city this summer! :)) I have loved her forever and never believed I would see her perform live. Moonshot is my favourite song thanks for posting it <3
@miaaisha, This is definitely one of my favourites too. Simple, understated, and devastatingly beautiful. Listen to Bufffy's inimitable vibrato in this song, so laden with feeling. I think I'll get them to play this for me when I've breathed my last breath!
Thanks for posting this. It's one of my favorite Buffy songs. I wish she would record more new material. We get a new album once every 10 years. Her OSCAR winning song "Up Where We Belong" by Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes (From AN OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN) will pay her royalties forever. Buffy come back.
I've always loved this song. Thanks for the post. My brother had this albulm when I was young, yes I'm WAY older than you but Buffy resonates with so many generations.5+
the dean and britta cover of this didn't change the instrumentation too much, but I still kinda prefer it laconically sung to buffy's tremolo-packed tone. great song, though. thanks for posting.

Galaxie 500 used to do this before Dean & Britta. Their version is interesting as well, but Buffy's is wonderful.

She is an underappreciated genius. This is exquisite & her latest release is incredible... check out her video for "No No Keshagesh" here on youtube
Buffy, you are my hero!!

D & B's version nice, more post-modern (?), but Buffy's original feels so purely from the heart and is truly exquisite

Dean And Britta did a recent cover of this song which is stunning as well. It really works as a duet. Check it out!
