So it seems. Not surprising, not everyone can take constructive criticism. Weird how whoever it is went after ppl's comments too. Clearly not someone interested getting good, just being thought of as good, and trying to get at me for not thinking so.
yeah i noticed that. pathetic really, some people just want comments to say epic, and win etc etc even if its not true. oh well if they cant handle the advice fuck em innit
The main issue is that when someone doesn't like someone else's work, most of them will simply say the song sucks and they should hang themselves or that they should quit music producing and get off youtube. Then in the few people like you who actually give constructive criticism, a lot of them will give it in a agressive way, which, in some cases, will have the opposite effect. So then some people find it harder to distinguish constructive criticism and bashing.
Unfortunately telling them to grow a ticker skin will not work, because it can't be done right away. I personally had an hard time taking some criticism and spent the past 18 years trying to grow a ticker skin and still am far from succeeding. Not everyone is the same. Not to mention not everyone speaks english as native language. However, from your comments on some other people videos at least yours were constructive, which is more and more rare since some people are scared of criticising stuff
I personally have about 40 blocked users on Youtube and should any negative criticism happens on any of the website I own the users would eventually get IP/nickname banned. I welcome constructive critism, though, since at least it's supposed to help people, not discourage them.
Of course, though, people can do any music they want, so *sometimes* the criticism might end up being useless if that's exactly how the song author wanted it to sound like
I had also noticed the negative feedback and low star ratings. I wouldn't let it worry you too much though. Those of us familiar with digital composition are aware of just how valuable these videos are. As a drummer AND part time producer, I've got to say you pretty much hit the nail on the head with your drum mixing explanation Doctor! Keep up the great work.

Wow, this is very useful, although I'm not used to making rock music.
I hope you will be able to make the electronic drum mixing guide. This would really help me, for I'm pretty bad with using the drums in my tracks.
