  • hehehe these damn dogs:D Now I know what was wrong with RTCW. There were no DOGS:D Wolf3D is one of the best games ever made:D

  • LoL. I do remember fighting robo-dogs in RTCW, although they don't bear much resemblance to these guys.

  • @AztecCrawdaddy i wanted to ask you, if you buy the game can you launch it with dosbox?

  • i can get the game started on ODSBOx but the first menu is not lit up and evrytime i clikc my cursor disapears

  • @GameTimeStudios Learn2Spell

  • I think I got the single worst torrent for that game. Firstly I downloaded, didn't support fullscreen "okay, minor setback". Tried loading it with DOSBox....nothing. Followed a walkthrough which had been given raving reviews, tried it...nothing. Repeated the process to the very letter...nothing.

Now I'm fucking stuck, I have 4 versions of Wolfenstein 3D on here and NONE OF THEM work how they were designed to.

  • I tried the shareware version in DOSBox and it doesn't seem to know where the right file is, which is frustrating because my family computer works fine. DOSBox is sweet but some games just don't seem to cooperate.

  • Wait, I've got it! I have to run LAUNCH.exe, choose Wolfenstein 3D and THEN run WOLF3D.exe!

    Perfect!

Now if I could just get the A-D strafing correct, I'll be in business.

  • What about them arrow keys? lol

  • Them arrow keys done suck.

  • its easy... check out my Commander Keen video on my page and you can read/watch the directions! if you still have trouble, leave another comment.

Note: I just got 10.5 myself but havent tried DosBox yet so its possible it dont work...

  • I'm trying to run a shareware version of this on my mac 10.5 (which may just be the problem because a lot of things dislike leopard) through dosbox. I have my wolf3d.exe file alone in the folder I'm accessing and I can't get it to run per directions I've found. Do you have the lnk to where you downloaded this and instructions on running it in dosbox?

  • Okay, follow my actions to the letter.

    Type in

    mount C C:(FILE DIRECTORY)

    C:

    cd (FILE NAME)

    wolf3d.exe

With my version there are two exe's that need to be run: LAUNCH and WOLF3D.

  • @LessthanJake14 Thanks for the help for the instructions :D
