Marjorie- Your video and sharing your feelings about the death penalty (along with Marsha Willoughby's video about her son) have truly made me think deeply about this issue & both of you got deeply to my heart with your words. <3 Your point about violence is one I strongly agree with- how its basically a cycle that needs to come to an end for it will only keep creating more violence (as well as the pain, loss, suffering, confusion & more that comes w/ violence usually) until it stops for good.
@albokiller23 Opponents of the death penalty are not defending brutal killers or giving them a second chance. They are simply refusing to kill another human being in cold blood. Executions are actions we engage in. Abolitionists choose not to be killers.
@KCADP not true its just liberals who want to lie but never rad the bible tora, or the koran. whatever your faith is go read it and find out for yourself. and i don't think a life sentence is worst then dying because everyone is scared to die. especially if you killed people they know where there going when they die.
@ZEverson that makes no sense because if someone killed one of my family members. i would want them killed because i would feel more safer if they were dead.
@ZEverson no i wouldnt be because all it takes is 1 second for them to escape from prison. it costs to much money to keep them in jail forever and they want to go to jail because they know in there head when they die there going to burn in hell. so for them jail is a safe place.
Sorry but I totally disagree with that nice lady, I'm with the death penalty. If someone touched my kid I'd want them put to sleep like a savage dog. Or if someone killed someone else NO REASON, then they should die too. I can't type much more in this litter space but there's more to what I say than what you've just read. reply if you wish.
Why are you with the death penalty? It's absolutely worthless: it doesn't deter crime, it's risk--innocent people like Cameron Todd Willingham have been executed, it's prolongs victims' families' suffering, it's not applied evenly, and its more expensive than life without parole.
Dont be stupid and ask someone why that agree with the death penalty... the reasons are clear!! Too many to list in this little space but check out R3ND13R, he gives a pretty damn good speach on the topic!!! then come back and question my view again. what you said is pathetic.
I looked for R3ND13R, but didn't find any relevant death penalty videos. I'm sorry you find what I wrote pathetic, but it's all true. Executions cost most to carry out than life without parole. Innocent people have been killed. Studies prove the death penalty does not deter crime. And many murder victim's family members oppose it.
Both of these often cited Scripture quotes are not at all germane to the use of the death penalty in the United States or Kentucky. If you have to cite Scripture, at least speak about Yahweh's treatment of Cain, marking him to protect him from execution. Or talk about the guilty adulteress. If you are one of those without sin, then I guess you get to throw the first stone or inject the lethal dose. Have at it.
"Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed; for in the image of God made he man." Gen 9:6 the death penalty was established by God. Those who carry out the death penalty are not murderers they are ministers of God.( Romans 13:4 )

@PatrickDelahanty why not kill them is it fair to put other people in harms way. do society a favor.
albokiller23 2 years ago
They can be taken out of harm's way more effectively by being put in jail for life.
ZEverson 2 years ago
@ZEverson but don't you know most faiths give you the authority to give the death penalty.
albokiller23 2 years ago
A lot of faiths, however, do not. Furthermore, many faiths have beliefs that are bad ideas.

anybody who's against the death penalty is showing more sympathy for the killer than for the victims and the victims family.
albokiller23 2 years ago
A lot of victims family members don't want the death penalty. And some research shows executions can make their pain worse--not better.

You'd be just as safe if they were sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole--which is an option here in Kentucky.

@albokiller23 I'd never heard of a prisoner serving a term of life in jail without parole escape in "1 second." Can you send me a link please?
ZEverson 2 years ago
@ZEverson have you seen the movie prom night?
albokiller23 2 years ago
No, but it is fiction (as in, made up).
ZEverson 2 years ago
@ZEverson but that can happen in real life tho its possible why take that risk.
albokiller23 2 years ago
Actually, it can't happen in real life.
