tutorial: open the gate then leave the game (with other people in it still) then join back in and on your screen the gate will be closed but on there screen it will be open. RIGHT?

no it is not. That gate is nothing like the zanzibar halo 2 gate. The halo 2 gate has it too look like a jail cell gate. The new gate in halo 3 is justa little box hing thats in the ground.

it only works on round games press the butten to open the gate right when the screen is totaly black going on to the next round then next round every one can see the gate open but host.host sees it closesd and players can go throu and stuff hope this helped
