  • "don't pretend like I got a choice"

  • So Tony can put his dick in dozens of other women, yet he gets pissed when Carmela merely fantasizes about a single man? Hypocrisy indeed.

  • Edie Falco! James Gandolfino is a perfect mob boss, but I have never seen an actress as good as Edie Falco. Meryl Streep is super talented...almost savant-like, but Edie Falco has access to emotions that I've never seen in any actor before. She actually brings tears to my eyes because she is so amazing.

  • wow

  • He talked to you, aww, poor you

HE MADE ME FEEL LIKE I MATTERED

  • Comment removed

  • The acting here is some of the best you'll find in TV Falco and Gandolfini look so pissed at each other it's insane

  • Carmella is my least favorite character on The Sopranos. She is nothing but a hypocritical bitch!

  • TV shows don't get Oscars, hon.

  • wow the accents are strong

  • Falco is a serious force of an actress. Amazing.

  • what episode is this?

  • @CSImiamiLOVER01

it was last episode of 4th season for sure, when Tony got her shore house ;)

  • Fiddle with the air conditioning....BWHAHAHA

  • Tony is so right in this scene, it must of been so hard for Carmela to drive around in a Mercedes and waltz around the house without lifting a finger, how she got to stay in the house after they seperated is beyond me.

  • @phantomtaker86

well, it was more about his attitude around the house not the women on side strictly. Tony indeed was at home only to eat and sleep. If he played the role of a husband a little bit better she wouldn't say nothing as she knew he was screwing around alot.earlier and stayed silent, bought something, stole some money from birdfeader etc

  • That whatshisname and his chain f**king drug stores must be laughing his a** off after seeing this.....

  • Carmella is the only one who could talk that way to Tony and get away with it.

  • Carmela was cunt.

  • For a second there; I really thought he was gonna Hit her.

  • fucking love this scene. fuck carmela annoying bitch

  • Great acting

  • Carmella owned Tony? Really? Tony had a point. She got to drive her luxury cars, wear her flashy jewelry and live the sweet life.. and he got his women on the side. Why is it that spouses are somehow innocent when they know all along how their men earn their living? Carmella was an accomplice to Tony's bullshit. The Jewish psychologist told her the facts of life straight to her face... and she decided to stay.. she stayed because she had an easy life.

  • "Can I tell you something Tony?"

"Don't pretend like I gotta choice."

  • FYI to anybody not familiar with classic Hollywood, 'Tracy and Hepburn' were Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn who did a lot of screwball comedies together.

  • I have to admit Tony showed some restraint. Most dudes mobster or not would've hit Carmella instead of the wall.

  • I wanted Furio and Tony to go at it!!! Be a great fight!

  • What makes me scared is that these two wonderful actors, James Gandolfini and Edie Falco, act so well that it's almost like watching a real life couple fighting with serious tirades. Maron........ I live far away from the States but it's my dream to get autographs from them and meet them in person to ask questions..

  • Intense.

  • This is the best show i've ever seen. I must admit though, that i feel it started going downhill with season six.

  • i think carmela is a hypocrite too. she knew whole time tony is cheating on her and now she's mad when a drunk russian whore calls her?

  • He said FUCK, holy FUCK, he FUCKIN said the FUCKIN f-word

  • edie falco won an emmy for this episode! she definitely deserved it.

  • Awesome.

  • "And I felt probably like someone who was terminally ill and somehow they managed to forget it for a minute. And then it all comes back."

  • The part I don't get is: Furio could have had anyone. He had his looks, his money, and is a very capable guy; he also has the accent that women melt over. Why in God's name would he settle for Carmella?! While I agree her character is played very well by the actor, I still don't really like the actor who plays Carmella, nor her character. I really wish the writers would have chosen something else for Furio than to fall in love with her, of all people. =(

  • @t1m1976 Dude, he's a member of La Cosa Nostra. In those guys' mind,

there is no greater catch than the boss's wife.

  • @kwg2000 I can see your point, but I feel you're wrong about this. He didn't really notice her until she took an interest in him. If she wasn't interested in him, none of this would have ever happened. Can't a guy be kind to a woman without people thinking he wants sex? I guess in your world the answer is no.

  • @t1m1976 No, in the misogynist world of La Cosa Nostra, the

answer is "no." Watch the Fourth Season again. In one scene,

he explicitly tells one of his relatives in Italy that he had feelings

for "the boss's wife." Btw, for future reference, you really should

avoid typing counterarguments that could be construed as personal

insults. That is, unless someone insults you first.

  • She was such a great actor, but her character was to me always the most pathetic human being.

  • Carmela was a fucking whore.

  • She was such a total bitch?

  • I watched all of the sopranos and to me carmella came across as a really moody woman who did nothing but complain, unless tony was giving her money. That was about it really, her character reflacted a woman who was only happy when she was getting her mans money.

Tony is such a likeable character,a cheat for sure, but like carmella says plenty times in the series,he was a good man.Someone who looked after his own but also a man you should never cross.

  • One of the best scenes ever. It's funny because as you get older, you realize that you aren't the same person you were ten or twenty years ago. This is a great example of that...

  • Top Ten greatest Sopranos moments/scenes in no order........big pussy gets wacked on the boat, scene when adrianna tells christopher she's been helping the feds, whitecaps episode which this scene is from, ralph sifarretto dies, tony gets shot season 1, season 3 episode where the stripper gets killed called "university" livia dies season 3, bevelaqua kid gets wacked, sopranos home movies (not a lot of mafia stuff but GREAT writing and character development)

  • I'm young, I'm only 20, but I know this is going to be the best acting I will see until my dying day. This entire scene is my favorite in any show I have ever seen because IT WAS SO REAL. All those years of tension and putting with his shit collapsed perfectly for Carmella. Every time I watch it my gut stirs because the emotion is so powerful you could cut it with a knife.

I cheer for her every motherfucking time when I see this.

  • Gandolfini takes Brando to acting school.

  • I like Tony and all but Carmela is so right. She fucking pwned his logic here. Carmela was awesome. She didn't deserve a lot of what she saw with friends and so forth "disappearing" but like tony says, she should've known what she was getting into somewhat.

  • @journeythruthepast "I like Tony and all but Carmela is so right. She fucking pwned his logic here. "

She pwned shit! She knew exactly who he was & who she was getting involved with, & stuck her head in the sand and tried to pretend. Then wants to get all self-righteous 20 years later after she's lived it up off of other people's blood

She said Tony had quite a time on her watch...she had a hell of a time with diamonds, and minks and vacations, and big house. Ass on the side comes with it

  • @journeythruthepast

you are quite right but I didn't see much of Carmela rejecting Tonys money outside of the "jew shrink" episode. She lived life being well aware where did all that money come from and she took it. Same as for her being "business woman". Tony bought the land, tony paid for materials, Tony leaned on building inspector to allow works to continue. She did nothing,

He did treat her like shit though with the women on side, no argument here..

  • @pwnsauce8 For Carmela to complain about the "other women" is in itself nothing more than Frustration. Each and every Mob guy who ever walked the earth, had a "Goomad". The other woman was nothing more than a living, breathing rag doll. Their only purpose was to replace your left hand so a guy could get a change of pace from jerking off. The "GOOMAD" never lived the life luxury that Carmela knew. They served their purpose, but that was all. They never gained a thing.

  • @inilledra

I don't know about that but I still consider cheating on wife/husband a nasty thing to do.

I remember the scene between Carmela and Tony when he told her that Sil leaned on the building inspector and had no luck, she responded with "and you just gonna give up? I don't think I ever head that before" basically setting inspector up to get his legs broken..

She lived wealthy life spending his money and suddenly she starts acting all righteous like she wasn't neck deep in same shit.

  • @inilledra It's "Goomare". From the Italian "comare", meaning "female neighbor".

  • @creamyapanties I would agree with you about the term. The pronounciation is based on dialect from the individual neighborhoods where each guy originated from in Italy. My cousins in Canada follow that old custom. My cousins in the states do not.

  • hahaha i like that 2:45 "FUCK It !!!"

  • Comment removed

  • best scene ever

  • lol sopranos fans are sexists... shooting a guy in the foot because he cant get your donuts fast enough, throwing a brick at the head of a waiter because he asked for tips and destroying walls. completely rational!!! that isn't over-reacting at all! men NEVER have emotional outbursts!

  • @kimberlymarie21990 haha put more exclamation points in your internet comments.

  • @kimberlymarie21990 Shooting in the foot from season 1 was an omage to goodfellas...remember spider (michael imperioli) got shot in the foot.

  • This is one of the greatest scenes in the series.

For no particular reason, my second favorite is Furio and Paulie talking about robbing the winner of the TV show "Survivor". "You put a gun inna his face, hey, see you canna survive this!"

  • i hate her one ugly cunt he she of slit her neck

  • Perfect reflection of real life. This is what it's like to married. In other words don't get married.

  • why would you cheat when you have carmella as your wife

  • @simmy0987 Because all she did all day was try to cut Tony's balls off. Like he says in this scene: "Well, you sit back for 20 fucking years; all you did was fiddle with the air conditioning and fucking bitch and complain! And fucking bitch, bitch, bitch - to me! To your priest!" It's as the the girlfriend of Tony's father said: "When you're married to a powerful man, you'd damn well better make him feel powerful."

  • @simmy0987

She's a nagging and annoying cunt. You'd have all the reasons to cheat on her.

  • @SteroidsMakeMeStrong Maybe she doesn't put out.

  • Dude she just does not get it. Funny in the end of the clip she calls him a hypocrite when in fact SHE is the hypocrite. She knew what she was getting into when she married him and didn't have a problem enjoying all the spoils of that lifestyle he brought. I'm sorry and this may sound fucked up, but what he does on the side is part of the deal, especially in the culture they live in.

  • I saw Gandolfini live in "God of Carnage". Dude can act.

  • @BassHeadsProduction I accidentally gave u a thumbs down, my bad! How was he in GOC!

  • Much more powerful than anything Bogie/Bacall ever pulled off...

  • you dont ever hit your wife , you hit the fucking wall LOL

  • young ellen degenereas

  • This proves that Tony was much more of a man then Christopher who beat up Adriana without proof for what she was accused of, Tony didnt even touch Carmela after she admitted it herself. Chris was a pussy, who does that to a women?

  • @Momokabomo My x husband. I love your comment well said!

  • 2 people work for Agent Harris.

  • can someone help me out what season is this from

  • @theofficejr its the season 4 finale

  • This is best scene between them. Amazing acting.

  • FUCK IT!

  • Comment removed

  • @95Godfather :) I know she's got an Emmy for this episode. But I meant she was so good that she's worth an Oscar just as well.

  • Bravo... I can watch this episode again and again. An Oscar-worth performance!

  • @lanulik

    u mean Emmy worth

  • When she said shes in love with furio i laughed my ass off.

  • No one can punch a hole in a wall like that without doing damage to their hand....even Tony!

  • @79Testo Sure they can, I once got pissed and punched through an even more solid wall (broke off chunks) and my hand was just fine, it's not like wood or tile where it's easy to cut your hand.

  • Strange sometimes i sound just like her.

  • furio was savage

  • damn tony was lucky he never catched an std fucking all those women

  • As its says. Acting on another level. I can remember watching it and realising I was watching something that won't be matched.

  • 3 : 10 Tony got Pwned Hahaha.

  • An acting clinic here.

  • This is so good. We all know Gandolfini is great, but Edie Falco got such boring story lines sometimes that we almost forget how fucking insanely good of an actress she is.

  • "and yea she's sexy enough with the one pin gone" lmmfao

  • i know it isnt real, but it pained me to watch season 5 knowing that they were broken up. i liked the first few episode of season 6 when theyre both happy and nice to each other.

  • Ah, such a beautiful show. In the end, I just had to accept that both Tony and Carmela were both ignorant and seedy people in their own rights. But at the same time, they can't fucking function without each other. It's a shitstorm of complications.

I can't imagine what Carm's life was like after her husband was blown to bits in front of her in the last scene (granted, of course, you're part of the "Tony dies" camp).

  • @JackieMagenta tony is dead. you would have to be blind and ignorant to not see it.

  • @mahavishnuxc ...Yes, and I never said I didn't think he died...?

  • @mahavishnuxc no, it was a rhetorical statement, i was agreeing with you. i was just saying that for the people who think he survives they are blind not to see it.

  • I love Carmela shes one of my favorites on the show! shes the only one that stands up to Tony and tells him the truth.

  • The interesting thing about this (masterful) scene is that David Chase really didn't like it. The Box set for this season has commentary for this episode and he talked about it in length.

  • Carmela always put Tony in his place, same with his mother... Tony was a king amongst men but he was weak/impotent against the women in his life

  • best tv show in history, there will never be anything like it again

  • 1. tony has no right to be mad that Carmela carried on a romance with Furio, considering he probably bangs a different girl every week.

    2. Carmela has no right to break Tony's balls about his affairs, considering the man has made millions of dollars which she and her children benefit off of.

Verdict: they should both get off each other's cases and let each other do whatever they want.

  • dose anybody know what carmella ment at 2:25 to 2:34?

  • @buggeazy102 I am not exactly clear, but it has something to do with Carmella referring to trying to do something besides just sitting around the house doing nothing all day so she was going for her real estate license. I know thats not a complete answer, but the line is kinda vague out of context.

  • @Isaac2c ok i get ya thanks for the info it was helpful

  • Selfish bitch, she must have known that could get Furio killed.

  • @Momokabomo she only snitched cus she couldnt swollow the fact that tony atmitted to screwing the russian girl and other women for that fact she knew it and was only with him for his money that was the only way to redem herself...but i agree with you it was selfish and at the same time he never screwd carmella i say it was selfish of tony to put a hit out on furio and he did nothing

  • @buggeazy102 Was it ever established that Furio got killed?.

  • @Momokabomo No. Chances are, however, that he was either killed or left the life (because Tony stayed in regular business with the family he came from in Sicily).

  • @jetelegen Do you think Tony would have been as angry if it wasnt Furio?, if it was just some random guy instead, like Victor Musto or someone else, did he get angrier since Furio was in his crew, did he feel like an idiot?

  • @Momokabomo Probably a combination. That Furio was one of his UNDERLINGS didn't help either...Tony was not good at sharing or losing face.

Furio didn't actually do anything about his feelings for Carmela, so he didn't break mafia code. Tony's being pissed off at him was almost exclusively about Tony.

  • @jetelegen Was Tony allowed to fuck Adriana sice he was the boss?

  • @Momokabomo Not at all, in fact I believe that's an offense punishable by death in mafia circles (sleeping with someone else's wife). Tony probably could've gotten away with it a lot better than Furio would've with Carmella, again because he was the boss...but again he would've had problems. See when he punched Ralphie, that was against "the rules" too.

    Furio would've been toast.

  • @Momokabomo NO IT WAS LIKE 3 OR 4 PARTS THAT WAS NOT FINNISHED

  • @Momokabomo no he escaped back to italy

  • Awww! Poor you!

  • This series will go down as the most important, best written, best acted piece of drama (film and TV) in the last 30 years, at least. I don't expect to see anything match it in my lifetime. And the caracter of Tony Soprano will be studied and analyzed for decades to come.

  • @steelbreeze55 U r RIGHT on with that statement. The last season was a disaster not with standing. For ten years we witnessed pure Shakespeare Mob style. ' U Just wanted a Honda & a simple gold chain with a Heart on it" lol simply brilliant. rb1031

  • @steelbreeze55 i thought 'the wire' was just as good, with more social commentary.

  • @steelbreeze55 Sorry, my friend. I respectfully disagree. I believe The Wire is all those things. The Sopranos is #2 in my book.

  • @CertifiedGooner729 I respect that, since my comment I got The Wire box set for my b-day. It's an amazing show, I can see why it always seems to come down to these two. All the characters on the Wire are wonderful, but none of them reach the iconic stature of Tony Soprano (Omar, Stringer Bell, Frank Sobatka come the closest IMO). However, the Wire is a more moving show (especially season 4, w/ the kids). They both have a lot to say about society, in different their ways. Tough call for sure.

  • @steelbreeze55 yes, i loved this program so much

  • @steelbreeze55 - there is no 'most important' or 'best written'. Many characters and actors and dramas are top drawer - all with equal merit, in entirely different ways.

  • @Messylin - exactly (although I don't know why you say "actors and dramas" - all genres are equally skilled). Are dramas better than comedies or animations or sci fi. This is an excellent show but one cannot possibly say what is the best. Different genres, different shows have different requirements. While one could put forth the argument that The Simpsons is the best show ever another could say Mad Men is, or The Sopranos, or Dr Who or even Only Fools and Horses. All have their unique qualities

  • @steelbreeze55 You should watch The Wire. It makes The Sopranos look like a bad 80s sitcom.

  • @Darnellius Since I made that comment I have watched "The Wire" in its entirety, and I have to admit I would no longer make the same statement. You're right, The Wire is a phenomenal show, and it can actually make the sopranos seem amateurish at times, however I think they are both extremely good. They stand alone at number 1 and 2, with 3rd place a long ways off.

  • @steelbreeze55 I have to say I go back and forth on that. They're both great in their own ways. As someone who comes from Baltimore and is very familiar with the setting and reality the show brought, I tend to be bias towards the Wire. But I always loved the Sopranos. The writing and acting is top notch. The only show on TV today that comes close to these two is Mad Men. Another excellent character driven show.

  • @Antrizzle2009 the west wing too :)

  • In the end you had to accept that Carmela was just as bad as Tony. She took what he gave her and she knew where it came from.

  • Free to sit back for 20 fucking years and fiddle with the air conditioner and fucking bitch and complain and fucking bitch, bitch, bitch, to me, to your priest. FUCK IT. That fucking defines carmella to a fucking tee. Awesome

  • Tour de force.... I waited through too many seasons to hear Carmella sear into that bag of unadulterated, self-absorbed SHIT named Tony.... I refused to watch some episodes because of his revolting, egocentric ignorance. I would have paid a king's ransom to see Carmella rip off Tony's shriveled yellow schlong and ram it down his throat.... Ultimately, that selfish, twisted, psychotic waste of space should have been mutilated and fed to his sluts. He was the personification of metastatic cancer.

  • @mmdillon1 I thought he was a pretty good guy myself

  • i hate this women but this scene was good

  • the greatest show in history

  • Carmella's terminally ill comment was brutal as all hell.

  • @Messylin you're absolute right. One of the wonderful things about the Sopranos is, however much you may like a character, you are always reminded how abhorrent these people really are.

  • I love the way Tony handles his bitches....lol

  • I LIKE THE PART WHERE DAVID DROP KICKS JODI IN THE PUSSY.

  • One of the best scenes ever.. Love Tonys little laugh when Carmella tells him about Furio, and the way the slow zoom starts in on Tony.. Classic.

  • I didn't remember this conversation. Wow. Carmela Soprano was a piece of shit. Surely she had to know that what she said could have easily gotten Furio tortured, murdered, dismembered and disposed of in half a dozen landfills.

  • Oh look, it's the 45 year old Tracy DiMarco.

  • well he ruined that wall

  • Carmella: Can I tell you something Tony?

Tony: Don't pretend like a got a choice.

    Great dialogue, great delivery.

  • THANKS CARMELLA U JUST GOT ME KILLED TRULY YOURS LOVE FURIO LMAO

  • That part where he flips out and goes for her, and her reaction when she thinks he's going to smash her face is so well-acted. This is my favourite season finale out of the show's run. Such a master class of acting.

  • @MonsieurJimjams u r brilliant!! i caught that myself.. The acting on this was Brilliant. rb1031

  • @MonsieurJimjams u r brilliant!! i caught that myself.. The acting on this was Amazing rb1031

  • @MonsieurJimjams Yea I have to agree they fuckin kicked ass with their acting. Her face is not a joke right there and I think a lot of ppl can relate. Unfortunately, obviously, but it happens nonetheless.

  • @MonsieurJimjams Yea I have to agree they fuckin kicked ass with their acting. Her face is not a joke right there and I think a lot of ppl can relate. Unfortunately, obviously, but it happens nonetheless.

She was pretty brutal as well.. "..and then it all comes back." -Ouch!

  • @MonsieurJimjams ur soooo right on. The acting here is extraordinary. The writing is incredible ( jerry tuffi & his fukin snow plows) lol . rb1031

  • yeah really why is carmela suprized

  • Also, forgive the double post, but -

This would make the best kinetic typography ever. :)

  • This, along with the last scene between tony and Junior, are my favorite of the show.

  • lol, Jerry Tufi, sounds pretty pathetic

  • Whats the episode were she goes to have a movie night and Tony has taken the dvd player?

  • @currentevent Rat Pack season 5 episode 2.

  • jesus christ, I could imagine how much this kind of acting takes out of you.

  • ooffaa she aint too goodlookin

  • i miss this show so much

  • If Tony had any idea that Furio was into Carmella, Furio would of been dead. Tony is a very complex man when it comes onto things he feels that are his and that know man should touch. The Fact that Furio is a soldier within the family would only convince Tony more of Furious blatant betrayal. Furio left the United States because he knew his desires would get him killed.

  • @kilahchris That's why I keep saying both them, including their kids, are disgusting people. I don't know if you've ever been in the area but NYC and Jersey are full of people like this and I've been in the middle of these situations. Carmella and Tony's marriage was a fucking joke from the beginning. This particular scene however was designed to expose Tony as a hypocrite and it worked.

  • @kilahchris See but Furio never touched Carmella. Tony literally only wanted him dead because of a crush that Carmella had for him. Even after he's told 100 times they never had sex he still convinces himself that they did. Carmella then goes and takes him back over money and Tony is too dumb to see she was planning on running to Florida with his money. Tony's personality (and Carmellas) are 100% typical of the "Rich yet uneducated" lifestyle.

  • @AptivaXL

No you not getting it. Tony never know of anythign thing between Carmella and Furio. He never suspected anything. Furio left the United States because he could not handle the fact that he is in love with the Boss's wife. Furio knows what would happen if he were to sleep with Carmella and get caught. Tony would of decapitated him.

  • @kilahchris I'm getting it, you're just not getting my point. I know why Furio left. Everyone knows why Furio left. Tony even told Carmella Furio was dead if anyone spotted him in Italy. What I'm saying is that Tony like all cheating husbands knew damn well his wife was at least looking at other men. You see it in real life all the time. All women who know their husbands are cheating spend their days giggling at other men. Tony knew it but only got homicidal when it was a guy who worked for him.

  • @kilahchris My basic point which I've stated 3 times now is that these couples are all hypocrites on both sides. They only 'choose' to get angry when it's a situation that doesn't suit them. Carmella spent 20 years watching Tony come home with his dick wet and didn't say anything until it was a woman she was friends with. Tony cheated all that time and knew the rumors about Carmella but only punched out a wall when it was one of his soldiers. Hypocrisy on both sides.

  • @AptivaXL tony didn't hear the rumours because there weren't any.

  • @AptivaXL jesus give it up, you've typed hundreds of words now and you're wrong about so much. what do you mean 'only got homicidal when it was one of his soldiers'?? he never found out about her and the decorator and carmela was never unfaithful before then or since, where's the comparison you're trying to make?

  • @fuckamericanidiot Sorry but you don't tell me when to stop. This is just youtube. Tony didn't kill her ex-boyfriend that he mentions in this scene nor did he kill AJs Teacher which Carmela fucks around this same time. I am actually getting a little tired of this because everyone here refuses to get the point and just wants to dickride Tony. Think what you want.

  • @AptivaXL HE DOESN'T KILL THOSE PEOPLE BECAUSE HE DOESN'T KNOW. i'm not dickriding the guy, i love him but i don't like people talking shite

  • this scene is perfect it plays into the average women's psyche they would love for a man to provide for them and their children even if the money he gives her is blood money. But she will be damned if he fucks any other women. But she will gladl
