@GinaxClen She's so very rarely in that kind of position, rarely in the field with them with a gun in her hand, that I think Hotch, knowing this, was just looking hard at her to make sure she was okay. And, as far as we know as well as juding from Hotch's reaction, that was likely her "first kill" . It's just Hotch doing what Hotch does best,..making sure his team/friends are okay. And, of course, he's always been a little protective of JJ.
