I keep seeing all these really sweet dakota builds but how the hell do you guys back them up when dodge trannys are so shitty.. i have a dakota myself and would love to do some power upgrades but im not sure of its worth it since the trannys seem to die so easily .. i need some info!

Yeah I knew the wheels where 20 R/Ts. I think Rockauto.com still sells um too.  I was just curious about the drop and tires. On my old Dakota I was running a 3/4 drop (non-R/T) w/ 255/40R20 Nitto 420s tires.

actually its not that hard to get over 800 horses outta these engines...you do it the same way you would with any other...just takes a lot of time/money check out krcperformance they have a bunch of parts including a ton of diff cams for any setup and twin turbo's for these things they even have 408's crated ready to go pushing 590hp naturally aspirated...so dont try to say you cant get over 800hp outta these things
