to do slow motion (or make it fast if you want), here is what you need to do:

when you have your movie clip in the project library, highlight the clip (yellow box appears around the clip),

then, go to window>video adjustments>clip. You will see something in the box that says, Speed. On the left is a turtle, (slow) and the left is a rabbit (fast). You then slide the slider ( or type in the percent) of how fast (or slow) you would like your motion to be. Click done :)

making demo videos is tough, try a script and then go slower. You are rushing through some good info, you can see this info on your mac already in the help section. A good video woudl be how to FINE tune and edit the vids. Thre are some shortcuts and other things to help. Good luck and keep on with the vids!

I agree that since iMovie got its new symbol it has got worse. But iMovie 09 isn't as bad, it's returned some effects, even though it got rid of the huge list of effects you could have in iMovie HD. But if you think about it, did you use all those effects much, I'd be surprised if you did, as some of them were just pathetic looking rain, pathetic looking electricity, it has kept the most important and video-changing effects. It has also added some very professional effects, such as...

Picture in Picture, which is very helpful of course to show two or more things at once. Greenscreen Key also comes with it, something that is absolutely awesome, when used correctly, as you probably know can put people doing an action on to a completely different background. It's also much easier and quicker to make a project, as long as you know how. No rendering is needed any more, unless you count rendering for stabilization, another cool thing that takes the jumpiness out of all your video..

It also has nice transitions and titles. Once again, true they have taken some types of titles out that were helpful but they have also replaced them with maybe good in your opinion or bad titles. It also has helpful 3D maps, helpful for holiday films, which is one of the main kinds of film iMovie is supposed to create, seeing as far as I'm aware, all helpful Mac tutorials focus around a holiday occasion of some sort. It's all a matter of opinion, but I think iMovie 09 is as good as iMovie HD.

If u can get around the protection,that most vids dont have.U need to download "handbrake" a free app.Put your dvd into handbrake and the icon that will appear on your desktop or where-ever it goes,put directly into your editing suite.You should be able to take what u want from the vid.

a white border will apear around the words, then you can drop it in the event.
