God IS merciful to those who come to Him. Muslims, Hindus, Agnostics, Humanists, whatever other "religions" there are (I say "religions" because Christianity is a relationship with God, not a religion based on traditions and rituals) do not go to Heaven because God is not their god. Their gods are statues or "prophets". Either way, those "gods" are dead and the one true God cannot die. God loves everyone, no matter what. But if someone wants to go to Heaven, they have to accept Jesus Christ.
