ya really. Just to name one, Tekken Tag has wavedashing in it, and it came out 2 years before melee. There's no jumping and air dodging in that game, but because of the movement created, it's considered a wavedash.

But anyway, if you ask me it takes a ton of real skill to combo in regular brawl. To pull it off means that you actually got timing & reflexes down to the point that you don't let your opponent dodge. But hits like the ones in this video are just unbelievable, not cause they're good, because they're so easy to avoid.

@ZaikoTV You're an absolute moron if you think that predicting an airdodge and blasting a forward smash after landing an aerial is actually a combo. It's called a follow up, and it's never guaranteed. Combos are guaranteed which none are in brawl.

Brawl is a game of avoidance and survival through a long slow round of chess with Nintendo characters as the only piece to use. Don't post your idiocy on my videos anymore, please. Thanks...

THERE IS A FUCKING DODGE IN BRAWL

YOU DON'T ALWAYS HAVE TO JUST SIT THERE AND TAKE A MASSIVE HIT IN THE AIR 4 TIMES IN A ROW.

Even "pro" players do this all the damn time.

I don't think anyone can ever be "pro" in SSB but whatever.

Seriously, dodge, you won't get hit.

At least not all the time, just at the right time for you to get back on the field.

It's not that they don't know how to dodge, it's that they can't dodge, in this game anyway. You see, In the original, you can practically do a dodge after any hit because of the low hit stun damage, but brawl+ ups the hit stun damage in the game so they can stay stunned longer so they can pull off these combos. To the brawl+ community, this and other changes like upin' the speed, raisin' the gravity and the ability to do combos is what makes Brawl+ more "competitive" over the original.
