I am blessed to have seen this video - but would be more blessed if I had been in the audience. How I wish Americans would embrace the Tarahumara mindset. We would have such a positive impact on the world!
Thanks for posting this talk, it was very interesting. Caballo seems like a really great, really humble guy. It was great to see him speak at length. Thanks for taking the time to film and upload this.
@rnrchix, I know that your use of the word "warrior" is meant hyperbolically in your post but the Raramuri are not warriors -- on the contrary, they are very peaceful people. The use of the word warrior needs to be eliminated from the English language to denote some abstract virtue worth living up to. It was acts of war that pushed these people into the Copper Canyon in the first place -- they could not fight (or preferred not to) and so they ran away.
Sincere gratitude to Christy Cuomo, and the loving support of the Westchester Road Runners for hosting Caballo Blanco in the Big Apple. Her production truly captures the Message of Running Free among the beauty of the sacred Copper Canyons with the talented, humble Raramuri Warriors. Together as one, all cultures celebrate with honor, peace, beauty and love, in Urique.
