To Frannafour, your full of shit you would probably never have seen these engines in your life, i know this because i have commissioned and worked on 15 8000 engines here in perth, the next week i am doing five power units, have followed all 8000 series engines in australia from delivery to final handover, to all others these are a great engine, 1150rpm

@jordan141107 hey dick head like u would know wat i worked on u loud mouth idiot, i worked on them in Henderson down at Austal. 2 ferry's. 1 called the Osman Gala and its sister ship half way through the build. 4 MTU 8000 per ship we replaces all turbos as from the casting fault that happened in Germany wen a turbo exploded in dyno. Plus water pump elbows ans other mods. We where even gonna do sea trail but but had 2 leave. So wat have gotta say now jordan141107. good job at following them

Now THAT....is a HUGE 4 stroke diesel engine..... MASSIVE.... Absolutely stunning... I would love to see that thing up close... Not as gigantic as the 14 cylinder MAN two stroke that they use in container ships..... But undoubtedly probably the biggest 4 stroke diesel in the world right there.... Very very good camera work... I like it :)

Wartsila has the largest four stroke engine in the world.

It has a bore of 640mm! And a stroke of 900mm.

Wich is a lot larger the MTU engine.

But those are medium speed engines, I think the MTU are high speed engines.

(allso, MAN B&W is not the only two stroke manufacturer)

@scott93257 Not a chance. This is only a 26cm bore engine with 9100kW. The Wärtsilä 64 (64cm bore, 90cm stroke) is the world's largest and most powerful four-stroke engine, developing 2150kW per cylinder and 17200kW in its 8-cylinder guise.
