We've some great female voices around at the moment (check out Kimbra - especially on the video with Gotye....) but Elkie would blow them all away with that power and control....
Had the privilege of seeing this great singer in Fairfield Hall in Croydon, voice so powerful she stood a yard behind the mike and this is a large venue.Listen to her Album Bookbinders Kid , really good plus on the No More the Fool album a song called Only Women Bleed. Elkie is up there with the GREATS .
The genius (whoever he/she was) of putting the flute in close harmony with Elsie's fabulous voice deserves praise as much as Elsie's fantastic voice. Definitely a better version than Rod's.

@PhilipK100 When you say no one can sing like Rod. I am guesssing that's a good thing. Elkie 's voice is FAR superior. She can sing . Rock, Blues, Jazz. Great voice.
@567bocaj Ridiculous comment. Elkie is a fantastic singer and I doubt that Rod Stewart worried that she did a better cover than his own version. Do you think nobody should ever cover a song? Listen to Eva Cassidy singing Sting's "Fields of Gold" if you do and then tell me you think covers are bad.
The most under rated artist ever..........This is just a beautiful performance........what a voice, nothing out there to touch Elkie!
