i recently got a new 600w power supply to run nvidia 9800 gc and it works great but after a few minutes any game that involves a mouse and keyboard(fps) the game will lockup when i use the two at the same time. Its not a major issue but when i cant play a game for more than 20minutes its an issue. any help will be appreciated.

Depeding on your needs. For gaming, a dual-core setup is all you will need if you plan on doing just gaming. However, quad cores are much more useful for largely coded applications like data management or video encoding. The only determining factor between performance is having a higher processing speed. 3.0 GHz dual-core will be ultimately better for gaming than a 2.4 GHz quad core.

The minimum is Core 2 Duo 1.8 GHz, ill think you'll be able to play it but to play with higher FPS you will need to get at least 2gb of RAM.

Having 2 cores is all you need to play games.  Anything beyond that is for higher demanding "number crunching" applications like encoding/editting high definition video. To run games at decent settings, I recommend buying at least a dual-core at 2.66 GHz or above.

@rossi4656 Firstly, No you don't need a quad core to run this game well, Seeing as even with a quad core it will only utilize two to three cores. Complete rubbish, this game was release in 2008 when quad core processors had just become affordable and mainstream.

The biggest overall factor in this game is CPU performance.

A mid-high range graphics card, at least 2 gigs of ram, and any 2.5 dual core CPU OR Higher, will land you in the land of high settings for this game.
