  • that ain't 60 gallon or my aquarium is bigger than i thought because i thought i got a 60G tank and it looks bigger than yours

  • @spartanst22 its 60 gallons

  • dang you spent quite some money for a 60 gallon tank. but its all gonna be worth it in the end. good job

  • Looks great. You're certainly on the right track. Just a question on the controller.....have you looked into an apex system? I know they're a lil more expensive, but they have a lot more control and options that are working now.

  • @1mkwiet thanks! and yes the neptune apex controller was going to be my first choice because as you said it has many options and i really wanted to be able to control my aquarium away from home because i will be going away to college in 2012 and my parents dont know anything about saltwater aquariums. but i chose the reef keeper lite because it also had many options and was more affordable than the apex.

  • You have totally used all my ides in this set up :). The only way to effectively make waves with 2 MP10's is to have them sync wireless. You would need to upgrade the drivers here. Now all you need is a good skimmer, a sump, and a background. You can get a background from petland that is reversible blue and black to change them out if you wish. That is what I did with my 39g nano system.

  • @newyorksteelo pshhh naaa these are all my own ideas haha just kidding. yes im copying alot of what youve done because you have an awsome reef aquarium and i also want an awsome aquarium. and thats what i thought about the pumps but im ok with having the pumps face eachother at a constant speed, isnt that what you had on your 90 gallon for a while? and thanks for the comment :) ohh yea hows the cycle going in your 90 gallon?

  • @360treflipskater360 Mine were always wireless cause a constant alternating flow without sync can cause blasting of the corals and sand. Both synced together work beautifully. I have a video on the cycle coming out tomorrow so be on the lookout for that video.

  • @newyorksteelo ohh okay well i can just turn the pumps down a little bit if i notice the corals are unhappy and if my sand bed is moving. ill be on the lookout dont worry

  • @newyorksteelo ohh yea i have another question. instead of upgrading to the wireless could i just use the wavemaker mode on the reefkeeper lite which i plan on getting?

  • @360treflipskater360 You can but the shutting on an off of your pumps will destroy the pumps. These pumps were designed to alternate from high to low setting without shutting them off, to conserve the life of the pump. Honestly, if I were you, and I knew I was going to have 2 mp10's, I would get the wireless ones. You can also buy the upgrade to wireless in the near future for 60 bucks or something like that. Good luck.

  • @newyorksteelo yea your right i guess i just didnt pay attention to what the wireless ones can do and non wireless ones cant do lol. just a minor set back but thats okay. thanks for the help

  • you should color the background to cover all the equipment

  • @memorex0027 i agree im gonna go get a background eventually im thinking blue but maybe black, i still cant decide which will look better

  • its coming along really nice, I cant wait to see it up and running

  • @Dukeap1 thanks ill try and get it up and running as soon as i get some last few pieces of equipment and stuff
