gr8 layout, im building one just like it, keep up the good work. I also got lots of old 00 gauge stuff from my family!!!.....atics can uncover some real gems sometimes!!
2 class 121 bubble cars 1 lima 1 hornby with yellow cab surrounds, and I'm getting the new bachmann 105 in blue :) when bachmann get round to bringing it out :)
I don't have room in my house to have full blown set up like that by i sometimes get my EuroStar or Virgin trains out.
But i recently got a Flying Scotsman steam engine inherited from my grandpa. And i also got a few freight tarins alond with about 10 miles of track and about 100 oil tanker wagons to go with them.
I've got my own set up in my attic. Yours is good for your age dude. I'm 14 and have made mine without assistance, I probably should get some videos up.
Hey, nice layout, I'm 12, i'm goin for a layout round the outside of my room, wiv a lift out bit for the door. Really like yours, how much did you spend in total do you think?
hummmmmmm duno as it was made up over time, 3 trains came as chrismas presents and i started with one of them starter sets from there my uncle discovered that he had an old train set box in the loft and so i go that, which gave me lots more track and rolling stock. the station and church both came from car boot sales and the landscape was made from papermashey and saw dust. so over all i did not spend that much at all on it on about £50.
Only £50, i say you've done a great job for that amount spent. I think i've spent around £200 or something and have been given another £200 worth of things from friends. Pretty rediculous, but if i get what i need then why not. At the moment i'm gradualy getting bits done while trying to add directional lights to some things. I'll upload a video when i atleast finish my station board.
you could put the layout on the floor in the loft like mine or in the cellar if you have one but its best on the floor on a thick baseboard so you can walk on it to put things at the far side of your layout like i do for mine whatever you do i suspect will be a good idea. im only 14 i think i started my layout at 12 (what a coincidence) and its just built up from there on due to new buildings coming out and spurts of inspiration to put something somewhere its a good thing to do is have a layout.
does this come in HD quality ;)

I've got one of these - good thing to work towards. How did you do the hills?
Bugginton1 2 years ago
1. get some chicken wire to create structure of hills
2. mix flour and water to create a glue
3. use newspaper to cover it.
4. mix a hill like colour with saw dust (this gives it a texture)
