  • does this come in HD quality ;)

  • I think the driver needs a DNA (drug and alcohol) test he seems to be running the line speed

  • Gear whine certainly sounds like Lima.

  • @JBofBrisbane i think all are lima apart from the long blue disle and the small black steam engine.

  • gr8 layout, im building one just like it, keep up the good work. I also got lots of old 00 gauge stuff from my family!!!.....atics can uncover some real gems sometimes!!

  • Your trains sound in pain give them a clean and also you are running them quite fast

  • I've got one of these - good thing to work towards. How did you do the hills?

  • 1. get some chicken wire to create structure of hills

    2. mix flour and water to create a glue

    3. use newspaper to cover it.

    4. mix a hill like colour with saw dust (this gives it a texture)

  • about same size as mine, i used to have a massive layout in the loft but then i had to move and now its in the basement.

  • how big is it

  • 4ft by 6ft i think

  • @thegregster101

    just like mine then

  • Nice, mines slightly wider than yours, and a tad shorter i think.

  • most of the stuff looks like it's lima stuff

  • lol a lot is cuz i got a load of it free from be uncle :)

  • on my layout beside triang, bachmann etc

    I have 7 lima 117 6 in blue 1 in green all 3 car,

2 class 121 bubble cars 1 lima 1 hornby with yellow cab surrounds, and I'm getting the new bachmann 105 in blue :) when bachmann get round to bringing it out :)

  • Wow Greg, that's awesome.

I don't have room in my house to have full blown set up like that by i sometimes get my EuroStar or Virgin trains out.

But i recently got a Flying Scotsman steam engine inherited from my grandpa. And i also got a few freight tarins alond with about 10 miles of track and about 100 oil tanker wagons to go with them.

I cant wait to get them all out again xD

    George by the way :D

  • get a shed and put it all in there

  • I've got my own set up in my attic. Yours is good for your age dude. I'm 14 and have made mine without assistance, I probably should get some videos up.

  • iam 14 now lol in yr 10

  • ive got vids up now of mine

  • lol i is 14 now i never use it now it just takes up space lol may have to get it going agian soon

  • Hey, nice layout, I'm 12, i'm goin for a layout round the outside of my room, wiv a lift out bit for the door. Really like yours, how much did you spend in total do you think?

  • hummmmmmm duno as it was made up over time, 3 trains came as chrismas presents and i started with one of them starter sets from there my uncle discovered that he had an old train set box in the loft and so i go that, which gave me lots more track and rolling stock. the station and church both came from car boot sales and the landscape was made from papermashey and saw dust. so over all i did not spend that much at all on it on about £50.

  • Only £50, i say you've done a great job for that amount spent. I think i've spent around £200 or something and have been given another £200 worth of things from friends. Pretty rediculous, but if i get what i need then why not. At the moment i'm gradualy getting bits done while trying to add directional lights to some things. I'll upload a video when i atleast finish my station board.

  • ok then post a comment when u hav

  • Lol, so little, and such a good job, I worked it out the other day at around £2000 on mine (with the financial assistance of my parents)

  • I'm 12 too! I'm going to make a trakmat layoutin my room.

  • well good luck as your need it. i advise you to biuld it up slowly over time. mine took about a year and a bite before it looked any good

  • yeh lol i had mine for ages before i set it up

  • nice layout fora 12 year old... i am 12 myself and i have a little railway but it aint on a board due to lack of room 5*

  • you could put the layout on the floor in the loft like mine or in the cellar if you have one but its best on the floor on a thick baseboard so you can walk on it to put things at the far side of your layout like i do for mine whatever you do i suspect will be a good idea. im only 14 i think i started my layout at 12 (what a coincidence) and its just built up from there on due to new buildings coming out and spurts of inspiration to put something somewhere its a good thing to do is have a layout.
