  • lmfao who's the dude in the back wearing the trenchcoat

    this movie is comedy gold.

  • I love this and the Movie was great as well. Thanks for the UL!!

  • He Ain't Lyin' lol

  • I actually tracked down the restaurant. it's a real place that serves you waffles with syrup and butter along with fried chicken.

  • this shit is hillarious.

  • I was watching "Best thing I ever Ate" on Food Network, and Duff was talking about....

    Wait for it....

Roscoes Chicken and Waffles. Of course it wasn't anything like the one in this movie, but I thought it was sweet. This song popped into my head during that segment.

  • Only recently discovered that the girl in the center, Brie Howard, is the drummer in the Alexander O'Neal "Criticize" video. Wish there was more of her to watch!

  • I remember this place. On Sepulveda in Culver City, CA if I remember correctly. Or possibly Overland. One of the streets that ran North-South through Culver. If I remember correclty I think it burned down like a decade ago or possibly longer. I moved from L.A. to S.F. about 4 years ago, so I don;t know what the current status of the place is.

  • @TroggDoor Also, I know this is the same one because I recognize the other side of the street from the shots through the window. I was trying for a long time to find the previous address on google maps but no such luck. This is either the Roscoe's formerly at 5910 Jefferson, Sepulveda, Sawtelle, or something like that. Culver City for sure though.

  • I love this scene. Of course the Video Aces guys got paid...in chicken. Incidentally, I didn't know Roscoe's was real. I thought it was a fictional place.

  • my name is roscoe and roscoe rules

  • Ha ha ha Fucking awesome.....one of my favorite movies of all time........NICE POST!!!Thanks for putting this out there....STAY FROSTY!!!

  • ???

  • Roscoe's is also mentioned in the film Jackie Brown. Samuel L Jackson talks Chris Tucker into doing a favor by saying he will take him to Roscoe's after.

  • it's FAMOUS!

  • @vincentpricesnephew I would like to try Roscoes but I live in Florida and they don't have any here.

  • i would LOVE to try ROSCOE's as well, crazyredlion4500, but i live in Ohio. if either of us makes it to a Roscoe's first we should let eachother know

  • i think ROSCOE's is only in California

  • this vid is WACK!!!!! but luv tha foodd YUMMMMM

  • Fuckin love this movie! Bawkslurp! Chickwaff!

  • The Modes are coming back in a BIG way!

  • Check out John Cusack's moves (in hat , dark shades and raincoat to the far right) at 1:40 ! Wonderful!

  • Just in case you don't go back a few pages. There really is a chain of Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles in the Los Angeles area. And it's GOOOOD

  • Una masa!!! EL VIDEO!!!!

  • *BEST* movie John Cusack ever did!

2nd best for Tim Robbin's who's best is Jacob's Ladder

A yelp freidn was just recently as Roscoe's Chicken N Waffles gave the place a *great* review so obviously this came to mind

    Thanks for posting it

  • Then get soiling.

  • Fukalicious! This is just amazing. Love the sexy back-up crew:)

  • fly girls...mmmmmmmmm

  • I simply love this movie 'coz John Cusack resembles to one o' my best friends

  • This is worse than the General's Fried Chicken commercial.

  • do americans really eat chicken and waffles together????

  • yes

  • It's a Southern dish. The idea is that the batter left over from the waffles can be used to fry the chicken. Remember, this recipe came from the poor rural south, where they had to be resourceful and waste nothing.

But no, Americans don't typically eat chicken and waffles. It's more of a specialty dish nowadays. Roscoe's is a real fast food chain in California, though, that does serve chicken and waffles.

  • yeah, i heard about how they had to be resourceful with what food they could get their hands on. like the whole deal with the ribs... the whites kept the best cut of the meat and discarded the parts that they considered not worthy or something like that.

so the blacks took the ribs and bbq'd them and there ya go... creative cookin'.

  • All the best eats come from the poor slaves and their unsung genius.

  • u got dat right

  • SWANKY MODES!

  • "We made the baddest waffles and cluck and you get good value for your buck." Always my favorite line in this song. LOVE this movie!

  • LOL. That's John Cusack in the background at 1:42. It's such a great movie. Thanks for posting.

  • Is aney were I can watch the movie on youtube.

  • What kind of production value do you want for no money? This movie absolutely ROCKED! One of my top ten ever. Don Cornelius as Moe Fuzz? Brilliant.

  • Tits... and ass.

  • This video is missing one thing- "production value!"

  • Wasn't Michael Nesmith involved with the film "Repo Man"?

  • Waffles just PANcakes with little squares on 'em!

  • LMAO, I love that part.

  • Cameo from the higgins boys.

  • I would suggest the one in West Hollywood if you want to see famous people. It across the street from the thrift store that has free HIV testing. You gotta love LA....

  • I am so jealous. I want to be just like that guy when I get older.

    Roscoes is da bomb!

  • Haha same here dude. Grey hair FTW!

  • The food there is so f-ckin good. Fo real.

Thats really why I am so jealous...

  • Oh? I didn't know it existed. I'm from Quebec, Canada, and we don't have those in here. I thought they put a fictive restaurant.

  • Well you best head over to LA and grab some Roscoes and you will be singing like this dude.

I guess you guys got Poutine and thats not so bad. But shit it don't beat Roscoes.

    Au revoir Quebecois

  • Haha! So you like Poutine? It's pretty good. Yeah, there are poutines everywhere here! One day I'll go to Roscoes! One day...

And thanks for the bit of french!

  • this is awesome!

  • Dude, I stole this movie from my ex boyfriends roommate just because of this song! "Roscoe lemme taste yo chicken leg!" You have to see the version they play during the end credits too!

  • is this for real?hahaha

  • chicken and waffles is straight up nigga!

  • chicken and waffles is da bomb

  • I hope that I get to eat in Roscoe's the next time my family and I are in Los Angeles.I haven't seen this movie, but it looks like John is just walking and clapping at the end. In "Roscoes Chicken & Waffles the movie," the waffles are light colored, but in this Tapeheads Roscoes commercial they are a darker, brown color. Why?

  • HAHAHAHA XD I saw that like thirty times and never noticed Cusack jammin' XD

  • John Cusack just jammin in the corner at the end always cracks me up.

  • Isn't there a longer version of this video at the end of the movie? If anyone has it, that'd be awesome if you put it up.

  • I've uploaded it here: watch?v=GUsrw2glbrY

    Hope you enjoy.

  • I live in Redding and never ate at "Roscoe's House Of Chicken And Waffles either. I'll try to find "Tapeheads" tomorrow,in Hollywoo. Blockbuster does not have it. Is "Tapeheads" on dvd or only on VHS?

  • I purchased it on DVD ... so it is - or was - available.

  • watch jhon cusack at the end!!!!

  • Get on down wit 'cho bad se'f, Kang!! You da White Blur, fo sure!

  • i've never had Roscoes, but it sounds really good.

  • Bloody genius. Roscoe's is an L.A. institution.

  • its been quite difficult to get the dvd in germany. but i did my very best. now i can say thats its cusacks greatest movie - not a classic consumers one. i love it.

  • hahahah,i remember the words too,i thought i'd never see this again.nobody knows what im talkin about when i mention this movie, the Whoopy Boys is great too

  • Right after my father showed me this hilarious comedy, I went on youtube to see some of the scenes were there and this is by far my favorite part. Thank you so much for the upload, 5/5, it is in my favorite now and I often come to watch it!

  • I was SO excited to see this clip! I'm a huge John Cusack fan and this ranks as one of my favorite movies he's done - and this scene was one that my friend and I were particularly enamored with. I LOVED watching this again after such a long time. I had the movie on VHS tape but lost in when my old car was totaled in an accident and I was never able to retrieve anything from it. What was equally amazing is that I remembered every damn word of this song! Thanks for uploading this!!!

  • Keith Olbermann needs to do this commercial.

  • Or maybe OPRAH!

  • Heehee... I was the first to comment. =) This video's hilarious.
