Wrong again. The GT2 is not a cheapened version of the TT. It may be lighter, but it's more BHP, more Torque, etc. It's rear wheel drive instead of the 911tt's AWD setup. That's because it's a race car setup. Made for drifting corners, etc. You may want to at least peek into Porsche's website...the GT2 is released again. Both the GT3 and GT2 are new models for the new year. The difference is that the GT2 is a turbo model, and TONS more expensive!

GT2 is a cheapened(stripped)911 Turbo . Not essentially a homologation like the GT3. That's why it was changed and the GT3 came about. I just put in the GT2/GT3 as in GT class.

obviously all of you don't know your Porsches. A GT2/GT3 is a GT homologation of the 911. It's a race car and does not have a turbo because it's not allowed on it's group category. The 911 Turbo only gets its extra horsepower from the turbo and has less horsepower than the GT3. Do your HW.

First off a GT2 the pinacle of the 911/996 Turbo. Get a clue before you post to the world. A GT2 is a Turbo with some extra options, stripped down for weight and converted to RWD. The 997 GT2 will be released soon enough, it is currently in testing.

Again another problem. This is not a GT3, others said it was a GT2 but that is also incorrect as the 996TT in the video just has been modified with the GT2 front bumper cover.

996 is the chasis code for that Generation of 911. The Carrera,C4S, Turbo, GT3, GT3RS and GT2, etc are all 911s and the generation is the 996. The current is the 997. Prior to the 996 was the 993, 964, 956, 930 and OG 911 which was actually going to be deemed the 901 but French car giant Peugeot said their model lines had rights to using the X0X format. Porsche decided not to agrue and simply called it the 911 instead. The rest is history.
