@RedSandStudios Go with vintage Japan, all the new Taiwan delays sound very thin and metallic! I recommend the DD3 Japan, DD2 Japan, DM2 Japan. They beat easily any Tc electronics gadgets :-)
@eleattadiver Analog sounds better. Check out the Maxon Analog Delay pedal. Sounds much better than the DD7 in my opinion. The MXR Carbon copy delay is a nice analog delay pedal too. Not saying the Boss isn't a good Delay pedal but IMO the analog pedals sounds a lot nicer.
i think it would be much better to go with the dd-3 and a loop station, the dd-3 has the oscillate thing which is badass and with the loop station you can loop for days, thats what im doing at least, great review though you helped make my decision
does this model allow its full delayed effect to ring out when it has been turned off or just the delayed effect come to a dead stop like with the DD3?
@putenmeister no, those are the maximum you can get if you turn the delay time all the way up, so if you were to turn the delay knob all the way up and have the mode set as 3200ms, the time between the repeats would be 3200ms IIRC.
Interesting demo - and I really like your more negative comments in real strine!! - a stupid question from a bit of a dinosaur singer/guitarist, can I plug in a mic as well to do all that k t tunstall stuff, just basic tambourine, hand claps etc...,
It's just a delay pedal, one line in and two line outs (one is mono two is stereo) It's not really a looper so to speak, but you can loop to some extent with a function called Hold :) Hope this helps
@nondescript11 I think what would be of interest to you is getting a small portable mixer and a RC-2 loop station or the akai headrush (KT tunstall uses).
Are you Scottish? Great demo btw.

CAn I have batteries in this one or do I need somekind of cable?
BassOMasta 2 months ago
@BassOMasta Works with a 9Volt under the body of the unit or the power from the AC on the back. :)
intheblues 2 months ago
@BassOMasta Although it can use a 9 volt battery, I'd HIGHLY recommend getting an AC cable. Boss pedals are battery hogs.

Would you recommend the DD3, DD6 or DD7? They are all so similar.

@RedSandStudios I just got the latest one. Usually their newer stuff has better features. :)

Why do some people just buy an analog when for the same price as this with a bunch more of features? Does that make sense?
eleattadiver 5 months ago
@eleattadiver I totally agree, it has an analog feature on here :)

@intheblues Thanks Shane - I realised that what I was really after was a looper, so I've ended up with an Akai Headrush. Keep up the good work! Tim

@nondescript11 yes you can, just use lxr to instrument cable and plug it from your mic to the pedal to the amp/pa
