This game was awesome, team of the season at the end, added club teams over the 97 version. The Dreamcast games that carried the Worldwide Soccer name were not worthy of it, they should have continued the trend of using the World League name instead. When I played this I couldn't bring myself to skip the intro. Shame the commentary from Bloom and Jack Charlton was so stuttery, but still, I loved the whole package! Thanks for the memories!

Man I remember giving my brother the money for Fifa and when I came back from school he showed up with this game. I was very mad cause he had opened it and played it so I couldn't return it, boy was I surprised when I gave it a chance and loved it. The only game closer to it is winning eleven cause I hate Fifa and the new Pes games. Next generation soccer games are lame.

@chavawinn And I presume you're from US aren't you? Man that is even more remarkable! Well it is even if you're from Europe. Cuz, bearing in mind that Usa's culture and approach to soccer is completely different, your good taste for this game and not the newer ones like FILTHFA or PEES is... surprising. And as for ppl from Europe, like me, it's rare appreciating these games more than the new generation ones. Sega DID know what was gaming and entertaining all about. This game, a proof of it.

a VERY, VERY GOOD SOCCER GAME. Ive been playing alot of Wii Pro evo 2008 (i regard a the deeepst soccer game to date).. even after that, Sega worldwide soccer still holds it's own..

I love this game (but yes, the WWS 97 intro is better)

I really miss an intro. I think it could be from Worldwide Soccer 97. But I am not sure. I only know, that there was one penalthy and a great shoot over the keeper and the keeper tried to catch the ball but it´s to high. That would be soooo great. There are so good memories. I really miss it. Hope somebody would load it. Thx

World Wide Soccer is the best 32-bit football game you'll play... but it was almost too hard to score, so most people prefer Fifa 98 (the only good Fifa game ever made). 128-bit wise... Virtua Striker is great, but Winning Eleven/PES is the best. 16-bit wise Tecmo and SNK are the best.
