Thats awesome but bad on the motor im sure that oil pump is barely getting any oil but without it running it wouldnt do that it would just kill the battery. I got 3000lb Viper max on my 03 kodiak 450 and it drains my battery tryin to pull me out evertime i need to get a better battery cause the winch will just stop completely after a hard short pull and its only a month old thats why im scanning through winch videos tryin to diagnose my problem. Battery or winch?

Interesting performance for the winch. Remember doing that the oil moves away from the oil pickup at the bottom of the engine and towards the back. That starves oil to the crank bearings and will cause engine damage. So if you have to do that? Do it with the engine off.

Yeah do not run your engine with an incline like this, your oil isn't going to be anywhere near the sump lol. The charging system on these units isn't going to make a difference when your winching, its still going to draw down the battery either way. Odd thing is it actually ran not bad until the end, don't know how since the gas in the carb isn't going to be where it needs to be lol.

I have a kodiak 450 and I love it. it weighs in at about 500-600 pounds and the wench can pull anything up to about 3000 pounds. I got my Kodiak in 2002 and it still runs like new. nothin but the oil have been changed, and everything is working perfectly. if you are ever thinkin about getting a new atv or you what to upgrade, you should defenatly consider a Yamaha. they are a truely reliable ATV. they are tougher than hell. For whoever reads this, YAMAHA KICKS ASS!!!
