Alexis was the grand daddy of R & B in Brittan... the mentored everybody who meant anything in Rock and Blues... He was the man. Steve was showing respect...
Korner had alot.Marriott, FREE and all his completely awesome blues performers in the UK but he didn't produce Johnny Winter and Rick Derringer.Purely American and probably the greatest in my opinion.Although Kossoff is my personal fave.
Steve was very happy to share the stage and vocals. For someone with such an outstanding voice he was quite down to earth. Had a chance to meet Peter Frampton in 1976 and not only was Pete incredibly cool he answered all my questions about Humble Pie. He could tell I was a huge Marriot fan. Right before we parted he said laughingly, I expected more questions about myself but this was quite refreshing. I always thought I was Stevie's biggest fan, with a huge easy grin on his face.
@SuperLmcc the lead singer, in MY opinion - please no one take offence - i find its not very soulful, more just a texture than a shape if ya know what i mean
I understand - problem is that AK was not your average 60s Rock n Roll rebel: he predates the 60s and went on to have a parallel career in broadcasting. It doesn't help that he did the voice overs for Andrex toilet paper.
He practically invented the RnB scene in early 60s UK: nods to Chris Barber & John Mayall!
@anthonythirteen Lol rock n roll? i wasn't talking about that...
i was saying that i like more traditional blues, and someone recomended this guy so i watched and gave my opinion
his voice just reminds me of how a rocker emulates the blues as though it has to be rough. i know he was integral to the scene in the uk though, and i recognize his importance, i'm just not a fan of this particular route that blues took
Now (in retrospect) thisis fucking cool to see indeed. At the time though ('75) this pub bluesrock was sooo passé,and there were people waiting in the wings ,to give this stale music climate, a good kick up the ass.
Fucking greatest thing ive seen this year

In a weird way this combo reminds me of an alternate universe's Jagger /Richards colllaboration.

@SuperLmcc it's just not my cup of tea
I like older, more traditional blues
i just find his voice somewhat irritating to be honest, not to offend any fans

Oh my god.
I should apologize.
I has made a mistake in the evaluation.
This tune is ★★★★★!!!
Even if all fingers of both hands are added, the number of stars is insufficient.
I'm not the one to do the thing that doesn't become accustomed.
I'm sorry by sincerely.
By the way, this sentence was translated on the English translation site in Japan. I'm sorry both by poor English.
