Many thanks for taking the time to explain the similarities, advantages and disadvantages of each unit. Although I can't make my mind up about which way to go, atleast now I know more about each unit. An honest independent summary like this makes all the difference.
good promotion video for both S4 and MC6000. If you have a enough space, it would be good to chose S4. But I think the point is MC6000 is compact and it would be easier to replace your analog mixer with digital. And work standalone meas you don't have to care if your PC hung up on stage, just plug iPod or sampler in AUX input for emergency.
@cannabis1967 this is a GREAT point! i can't count how many times i've heard dj's or vj's audio cut out maybe computer froze or whatever, numerous things can go wrong and that has happened to lots of us before and to have a smart phone or iPod plugged into auxiliary input with a good 3-4 minute song or a pre-recorded 10min mix you made ready to play on the fly allowing you to restart your computer is an awesome option even an external mixer with a song looped. that alone is enough to convince me
the denon also has it own dedicated filter knob when using virtual DJ separate to the programable knobs in the upper centre. And if you like using virtual DJ the denon is mapped perfectly. it almost like the layout was made to represent the VDJ 7 Pro 4 deck skin.
Excellent presentation - I am inclined toward the MC 6000 but would love to see you configure it in MIDI with a couple of the most popular turntables such as the DN-S3700's. Thanks for taking the time to make the comparison between the two.
Nice vid, thx for doing this. Bought the S4 since I mainly use Traktor and don't want to remap each time a new version comes out. I know NI will always have it synced up.
Thnx for this vid after seeing this im still getting the denon mc-6000 not only because im a strict VDJ user but because im a mobile dj and it's easier to lug around especially since they made a case for it now and it's multiple color buttons are great because most of my gigs are in the dark ^_^
hey i have VDJ pro7 on my pc already i was wondering all i need to do is install the denon right??? i mean i dont need to install the VDJ that comes with the denon right??/ thanks for your time

Great Video. Thank You B&H and Rob. MC6000 vs S4 Comparison:
I got the S4 because it came out before the 6000 and because it will control 2 timecode signals from vinyl, CD or DN-S3700 internal 2khz tone.
