  • wow columbus was really a genious! thank god he dicovered america with his wise spirit. he even knew the name of the continent

  • Thlizzman.....we disgusting whites gave you the computer, the Internet, the airplane, the aspirin....and all other amenities to make your miserable life comfortable on this planet.

  • This is why people hated the film, its controversial subject matter. Why can't they just judge it as a film with many historical errors? And if Braveheart dealt with a huge controversy than I bet that would have been met negatively also.

So Shut Up with the arguments and enjoy the movie's beauty! It's a fucking movie, not a History Lesson you retards

  • Oh for the love of GOD!!! Stop fucking arguing and admire this beautifully filmed scene

  • you spaghetti eating fuck

  • @RaSunGod60 that's nice, but unless they used water with anti-bacterial properties, I don't think that would protect them against foreign-borne illnesses. .

Also that's a pretty big generalization. Are you referring to the natives of the islands that Columbus landed on or the mainland? Not all natives had uniform traditions and customs.

  • 2:07 --> didn't know there were native americans in columbus expedition

  • @saturdayboy I think he was an Arab / Moore. Lots of them in Spain. At the time there was a war in Spain between the European Christians and the Arab Muslims. Ferdinand and Isabella were the monarchs that pushed the Andulusian muslems back into Algeria/Morroco.

  • @falstoffe

Columbus was a christian. But anyway what I was pointing out is that many times in Hollywood movies I've seen the spanish ethnicity confused with the wrongly named "latin" ethnicity of the south americans. One clear and astonishing example is "Vantage point" of dennis quaid, filmed in mexico pretending it was spain XD To the eyes of a spaniard it's like using reserve cherokees to play the role of scottish warriors in Braveheart. Funny, but unreliable.

  • Columbus had a strong Faith in God and the main reason he undertook the journey was to bring the One True Faith to new and pagan world! Viva Columbus!

    A great man and superhero!

  • @youdrivethedeal .... your joking. A great man. A great man who sells 10 year olds as sex slaves. A man who enslaves hundreds of thousands of native Americans during his term as governor. If he was trying to bring "faith in god" he did it through slavery and torture.

  • @skydome29 - Indeed, the mad bastard wasn't even sure if he'd make it so you have to give him some credit for having the balls to cross the atlantic with ex-prisioners. People will always have their own opinion of Columbus but for me, I think he just wanted to explore... the whole explotation of the natives and gold was unfortunatley a sad consequence columbus had to go through to satisfy the very people who helped him fund his voyage....

  • on what area of Costa Rica was this filmed in?

  • on what area of Costa Rica was this filmed in?

  • Columbus looks fatter than I would have thought.

  • the claims that the europeans killed "tens of millions" of natives is grossly inaccurate. I really get ticked off when people call columbus the 'hitler' of the 15th cenutry. People are forgetting how many natives died of disease and foreign borne illness the europeans brought with them. I'd say disease, bacteria, and viruses have wiped out more people than man ever could.

  • Columbus wasn't even the first one to sight land. One of his crew did but of course his agreement with Isabella and Ferdinand was to be the first one to find land.

  • Have a shower Damien

  • Fuck Columbus

  • @Tikstaa fuck u

  • How come I do not learn of Christopher Columbus' exploits till I took history in college. -_-

    btw: I am Mexican American.

  • cloumbs is the won hou disgrberd amrica thats y columbs on the earth to discubrb amrica

  • @football53zach what?

  • Genocide of the Natives over 100million killed.

  • @vherring67 That was probably the population of the whole world retard, there were not 100 million ppl in america.

  • is funny how people talk shit and don't appreciate so much for columbus therefore he is the one that brought the british/americans oops i mean british/pilgrim illegal alien pilgrims...and just settle while spain conquer the shit out of americas.

  • @ScourgeofInfidels actually he was pretty evil, he was a pirate at one stage.

  • What a beautiful scene, columbus on his knees after a great journey sailing across unknown oceans , going where no one has ever been before , in that time people believed the Atlantic Ocean contained monsters and boiling water. No one attempted to sail across the unknown ocean. No one, except Columbus.

  • @dombomzaum What about Leif Erickson?

  • wasnt supposed colombus to be captured b the triplulation under the ship? he saw the land from a window

  • columbos was fucking portuguese

  • j'ai acheter le cd et commender le dvd du filme vivement 15jours plus tard

  • @MultiMagnificus

    Spain is not white(European)

  • @DixieRulez spanish are the first europeans, dick head, look up the meaning of Basque people

  • @DixieRulez ..."...There is a general scientific consensus that the Basques represent the most direct descendants of hunter-gatherers who dweld in EUROPE before the spread of agriculture, based on BOTH linguistic and genetic evidence....'

  • In 1492 columbus sailed the blue he fell off the mast skinned his ass and peed all other the crew

  • The arrival of Satan into a clean world.

Ironically they call Satan's ship 'The Santa Maria'

    Give me a break.

  • @Kyoulicious ya maybe the British would have been kinder, damn

  • New Spain=Conquerors

New Britain=Little girls aka "Tea drinkers"

    New France=Thugs,outlaws,Scandals,Scavengers

US= Racist fucks that over talk Europeans even though U.S has no history nothing.

U.S citizen my ass im Spaniard and i could stay in California illegal woops i mean legal because this is our own land. Once we Conquer we Conquer our territory!

  • @RoyalDaftPunk

Old Spain=Moorish Gypsy Mix=Non European peoples

  • @DixieRulez old spain = Basque celtic Roman Visigoth , imbecile lmao, its why they called it the reconquest you idiotic fool

  • Comment removed

  • @RoyalDaftPunk Yeh until the Americans beat the Mexicans ass for it.

  • @MajBlood yea mexicans are a different story...mexicans are mix assholes who rebel against Spain and now there fucking poor.

  • @RoyalDaftPunk I like to see people proud of their countries. But if you were a true Spaniard you be living in Spain, not in America like a stupid yank. You won't catch me being absorbed into their culture like a tool.

  • @MajBlood i was born in america that supposably makes me a citizen ok.first think first my dad and mom is from Spaniard,my grandparents are from Spaniard.i have family in spain,i visit in spain every year. and your saying i don't have spaniard blood.ok i was born in america but what is my blood.?

  • @RoyalDaftPunk You are an American my friend. Can you speak Spanish? And why don't you move to Spain instead of giving your money to fat yanks? It might not be too late. And why did your parents move to America?

  • @MajBlood not an American otherwise i would be Native...though i am an American citizen but reasons of why i don't live there i need to earn my E.U citizen European Union, thanks to America ideology.. which i will earn my E.U in France in college in 1 1/2 years.never go back to the U.S working for the jews...=) i do speak Spanish but not the Spanish you think of. i speak Catalan which is an old Spanish during the fall of rome mix language of latin and spanish.

  • @RoyalDaftPunk Well that won't help you in modern Spain. Go back to your country, pledge allegiance to the Spanish king, and bring Spain back to its former glory.

  • @MajBlood mabye i will...

  • @RoyalDaftPunk but then in 1821 Spain left, dont get me wrong. Im half Spanish myself. My mom is a Madrilena.

  • and so followed centuries of imperialism and death....and mass illegal migrations lol

all of this ends with mexicans swimming the rio grande

  • Satan disemboweled the european scourge of humanity on the Americas.

  • The best scene in the movie and one of the best scenes in movie history. The perfect combination of epic sounds and simple, clear pictures. I could watch and listen to it over and over again. The music sounds like the fate himself, a dark prophecy, the arrival of the evil gods. And the camera gives you the feeling to part of this fateful event.

  • Uh, Columbus wasn´t particularly evil or mean for a man of this time. He had the same mentality regarding non european people than any other contemporary european.

Actually , some spanish friars and noblemen even questioned the threatment natives were receiving and fought for their rights and freedom. Centuries later the British empire did the same without any remorse, and americans keep celebrating Thanksgiving day (almost as hypocritical as Columbus day). Who´s the evil douchebag here?

  • @ScourgeofInfidels THANK YOU! LOL

  • @ScourgeofInfidels the difference is that these were medieval times, and they had been ordered not to be cruel to these people, as they were subjects of god, England 100s of years later in more civilized times declared an Official war or the Indians, and used disease as a weapon , the also nearly wiped out the aboriginal people of Australia and this was the 18th century ?!

  • @ScourgeofInfidels

The first thing he said when he landed was fetch me a woman to rape you fucking jackass

  • @ScourgeofInfidels I agree

  • columbus was a rapist and Americas original douchebag!!!!

  • He then enslaved, murdered, raped the native Indians (he thought that they were very nice and docile ie perfect as slaves) and stole everything remotely precious.

His journal mentioned that he was looking for gold above everything.

  • These are "THE SCENE and the MUSIC".

  • Columbus imperial bastard.

  • 2:54

That's one small step for (a) man, one giant leap for mankind.

  • @schlammmpe Lol at the paranthesis.

  • 1:01, best scene composition ever

  • Get over it guilt ridden Whites, the superior culture will always win...

If the Native Americas were as smart they would have sailed to Europe and conquered it....

Europeans conquered the world and brought everyone into modern times, be proud to be White!

  • @thomasward00 I believe you mean the culture with superior weapons and diseases always win.

Last time I checked the Europeans did not conquer the world, although they dd conquer quite a bit of it.

For your last statement I do not see how the Europeans "brought everyone into modern times" although they did play a big part in many technological advancements, they dd not create every technological advancement that brought us into "modern times"

  • @MrAop2 Yes but you never said European and unless you do it is incorrect.

  • @MrAop2 The Vikings didn't either. The ancestors of the native Americans did. You can not discover a place that is already inhabited.

  • @1426305384950384 if the indians migrated and discovered the land the same way as everyone else, how does that make them "native"?

  • @latinasdoitbetter1 The ones who first came over weren't natives thats why I called them the ancestors of the native Americans and not native Americans. In order to be Native you must be born there. To give you a better understanding of why they are called natives here is the definition of the word.

"belonging by birth to a people regarded as indigenous to a certain place, especially a preliterate people: Native guides accompanied the expedition through the rain forest" (dictionary*.com)

  • @1426305384950384 they cannot be ancestors of someone if they were born first lol

  • i thought that it was conquest of paradise song we was suppose to hear in the first sight scene, shit, shit shit !!!

  • All Amerindians should thank their gods for us Europeans coming here and civilizing them.

  • @scipio1492 For your information, the Americas were civilized before European arrival. Look at the Incan and Mayan empires

  • @apx24 Well they were civilized in a sense but they were not as civilized or technologically advanced as the Europeans were. They were still performing human sacrifices up to the time the Europeans arrived.

  • @scipio1492 Europeans were burning women at the stake for being 'witches' in the 16th/17th centuries

  • @apx24 Very true. But that was not institrutionalized, it was not part of a custom, policy or religion. It was out of political expediency and was not happening on a constant or regular basis. On the contrary the Mayans and the Incas were doing it as part of their customs...to appease their gods.

  • @scipio1492 There is a long list of European brutality that was happening at the same time. The witch hunts were just one of many. What surprises me is that you used two of the many Indian tribes and nations to describe the entire population. If you look at the native Americans overall they were far more peaceful and less savage then the Europeans.

As for technologically advanced, I would have to agree with you.

  • @1426305384950384 Very true re: European brutality. With regard to the native Americans overall, not all tribes were the same as far as brutality goes. It is well documented that the North American tribes were always at war with each other. Brutality is a human overall characteristic and Europeans / whites do not have a monopoly on it. Look at what has happened in Rwanda (1994) in OUR DAY !

  • @scipio1492 Be careful by saying "whites do not have a monopoly on brutality". Otherwise, you could be accused of anti-semitism by jews, leftist, humanist and others!

  • @scipio1492 canadians too thank god for the italians

  • @scipio1492 pilgrims should thank god they lasted through the bubonic plauge..and when they landed here they should thank the natives for feeding them deer and turkey when the white pilgrims where starving..eating their own shoes belts and digging up their dead people for meat.....talk about barbarack,,,white people are discusting cavemen

  • Ridley Scott's last decent film. Still not on DVD!

  • here come the european christians to kill rape and loot anather race

  • @ruthless6661 yep and bring diseases to another continent

  • Columbus was right

  • SOY ESPAÑOL , ORGULLOSO DE LA HISTORIA DE ESPAÑA.

    Thanks for the video.

  • you think after 4 trips across the ocean he was gonna just turn back and say "oops some other people have it already..." ??? get fuckin real.

  • Stupid bastards. They missed Bermuda...

  • Dawn of Discovery

  • click here for the true story of Columbus its fucking great!!

    /watch?v=BEMSWPP-NiE

  • this is friggin good for a 1992 film...

  • @Sturmmann Yeah , I know. Saw it in the cinema. The violence in the battle was really in your face stuff for the time. Movies were getting brutal. Reservoir Dogs for example.

  • Gran secuencia, gran momento de la historia ....

    Grande Gerard !!

    Grande Vangelis!!

ESpaña....ya no eres lo que fuiste... que pena COÑO !!!!!!!!!!!

  • for this time very good movie

  • I love the bird sound effect that goes all the way through the movie...

  • 3:14 First!!! ha ha

  • SPAINNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!

  • BRILLANTE.

  • dislike -.-

    that isn't music anymore!

  • The man. My favorite movie!

  • the day this cocksucker landed in the new world, it's the the world change for the worse..

  • @mronelove you mean yourself right?

  • @mronelove you worthless crackhead! you probably in America cos of Columbus lol, there was no negros or horses b4 1492

  • @mronelove maybe you will be delighted by ripping hearts from victims' chests as precolumbian cocksuckers did...

  • having the guts to jump into the horizon in 1492 without a Black Berry or GPS. is admirable. cultures and customs vary in times and places. what is regrettable is that today killed over 3000 innocent 911 and not investigate who did it, or continue to support needless wars.

I think America is still undiscovered.

  • This movie made me feel sorry for Columbus because people always seemed to treat him poorly.

  • @KeNNeYg22 LMAO FEEL SORRY FOR HIM, HE KILLED OFF A WHOLE PEOPLE!?!?!?!

  • @IWorshipBellaDonna I feel sorry 4 u, you're not educated, he did no such thing

  • The place was San Salvador, right?

  • Spain commited atrocities but Natives werent innocent choir boys either The natives had long history of wars, massacres, etc., just like Europeans. It's human nature. The only thing that they didnt have was the greed of money that existed in Europe, but war and genocide happened in native lands also. Remember the Incas subdued and slaughtered many smaller tribes (including the bloody slaughter of children) before the Spaniards came, including tribes from present day Bolivia and Ecuador

  • such a great mariner columbus was...accidently finding "india" hahahahhahahahahahahahahahah

  • what a fool you are, you make a terrible critic, he found the best place that could be found with what he had, he had critics then that almost prevented him from finding it, and today we have morons like yourself "no he was looking 4 India" the best things in live have being found by accident, stupid kid, you come from a race of "boat people" LMAO!

  • 2:37

One small step for a man.

    One giant leap for mankind

  • Imagine, the common people in Central America STILL talk about all the things Colombus did when he arrived there. Talk about FAME! I have to admit, the Spaniards really had GUTS to do what they did under those conditions back then!

  • @3:27

Wait, do I fall down now, or...

  • HOLY SHIT DID THEY FORGET TO PACK A SPYGLASS?

  • Imagine being at sea for about a year and finally seeing land.

  • FUCK COLUMBUS THUMBS UP ?

  • @gion13888 Thumbs Down :D

  • @gion13888 FUCK THE GUYS WHO WRITE UNEDUCATED, MORONIC COMMENTS LIKE "FUCK COLUMBUS" !!! THUMBS UP?

  • Comment removed

  • @Boromir26 @Boromir26 I hate anyone who uses protrusive language in there comments and insist in writing in caps.

But those people do have a point in the sense that Columbus committed a lot of crimes, killed and enslaved a huge amount of people, and contributed virtually nothing good towards society. He was a fool; who happened to strike gold and then misuse the powers given to him to inflict pain on many people.

  • @Boromir26 Columbus is the luckiest traveler of all-time, if america didn't exist he and his men would have been fish fodder. He knew the world was round, it had been known since antiquity, but he under cut his calculations to be funded to go find india.

  • @skydome29 Yeah, if he had tried that on the PACIFIC ocean he would've been toast.

  • @falstoffe well you realize that had the continent of america not exist the atlantic and pacific would be connected? Therefore the trek would have been across 2 oceans.

  • Comment removed

  • @skydome29 I realize that. But if it was all one ocean, then he would never have made it past Baha California. Maybe not even past the longitude of West Texas/Mexico. They were on their last supplies as it was. If continental drift had shifted America just a LITTLE bit further to the west, he would've been dead anyway. That's what I meant by good luck trying it on the Pacific. Agree with your basic point: he was lucky.

  • @YouOmega17 oops my fault sorry man. I was getting u wrong.

  • Comment removed

  • Columbus didn't discover shit, the Native Americans came here a long time before any European did.

  • @YoungOmega17 yeah, talk about arrogance. That would be like someone coming to America today from China and saying. "I discovered it".....what they mean is that they went into somebody's back yard and burned their house down....then they left and claimed that they "discovered it"...talk about shitty arrogance.

  • @YoungOmega17 Native of all lands have inhabited the world, so if you want to put it that way, no one discovered anything. The discovery in 1492 is mostly from a European view point and more modern.

  • @YoungOmega17

that's nothing. adam and eve discovered the WORLD long before the natives existed. =P

  • @Holowachuk um....? no.

  • @Holowachuk

    Errr no.

My dear fellow I strongly recomend you purchase or atleast read a copy of Charles Darwin's Origins of The Species. And start reading about the subjects of Abiogenesis and Natural Selection.

  • @JONNOG88

i was making a joke, ok?

  • @Holowachuk

    Fine : )

  • His name was NOT Christopher Columbus!!!! It was CRISTOBAL COLON !!! American history books make his name sound like it's an American name, it's all part of our propaganda machine, distorting the truth, lies, and misinformation of all kinds.

  • @USStateSponTerrorism Nor was it Cristobal Colon, the Spanish version of his Genoese birth-name, CHRISTOFFA COROMBO.

  • @Tostig68 Thanks for helping us Americans learn a little MORE of the truth since we have ALL been lied to since the beginnings of this country and we are ready to learn the truth, unless of course we're in college where we have to continue listening to Jewish professors with Gentile names, brainwashing us constantly and bombarding us with constant LIES. Myself and I know millions of other Americans are SICK AND TIRED OF BEING LIED TO BY OUR MEDIA!.

  • Comment removed

  • Thank God for Western Civilization.

  • @BLO68 thank god for the worlds' biggest genocide committed by a murderous madman with a ship full of ex cons. Thanks, Columbus.

  • @subsamadhi

They could genocide each other very well, pls watch apocalipto. And in fact Bible allowed slavery (you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or male or female slave). Even nowadays people still do eat meat and wish others to die of old age. C'mon , all of us came out of animal-ape-like creatures, our predecessors.

Columbus is full of win despite he was a mercenary and enslaver. These were 1490's. You don't want to live back then.

  • @KrioRus it's still pretty sick what the fuck that man did. if you don't agree with that, you are probably of that variety as well.

  • do columbus come from norway?

  • This is all false it never happend like that! first of all there ship was sinking then the natives got him and his men out then they turn them into slaves.he was a evil man with no respect for human life.watch 500 nations to see the real story.

  • the most imortant event in the history of homo sapians is the fist copy of MAD magizine being bought...... I think a close 2nd most important event in the human history of the earth--is Bart Simpsons life.

  • And there it is!...........A land we call now AMERICA! named after Columbus' friend Amerigo Vespucci!

  • Second most important event in the history of the world, after Jesus walking the Earth of course. The modern day equivalent of landing on a new planet and colonizing it. The Kingdoms of Christian Europe were something else alright.

  • where can I get a song without the voices of columbus etc.?

  • @TheReblz The song is called "Hispanola". It's around the net.

  • It's true that Columbus was a man of his time and not 'politically correct' for the 21st century. So what? History is a complex thing. On the other hand, the transatlantic slave trade would not have existed but for african leaders in West Africa willing to profit from the enslavement of their own people. History just doesn't support your political agendas.

  • @kaliban48 Columbus was not "politically correct"? You make it sound like all he's guilty of is calling Native Americans "Indians".

  • The most intense scene of the movie, holy shit.

  • áá... egy kis töri. kellett már a lelkemnek. Kolombusz Kristóf! hála néked jó ember!

  • Toda veiz ki, vejo essa cena, essa músika, me arrepia a alma...

  • The "indians" would displace other Indians...they would kill and enslave other tribes. So this concept that only Whites from Europe are evil is a joke. Africans caught Africans, sold them to Arabs, who sold them to Europeans. And the pattern is repeated time and time again throughout the world, by all cultures.

  • @TiminPhoenix Man you are 100% right
