  • yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • OOOOH yeeeah the fucking blues !

  • That sax is sick.

  • I love the sax.

  • out of 5:30 the awesomeness pours :D

  • @ariel62073 You are right bro. You have it or you don't. It is the player that makes the guitar sing. Felling comes from the soul. No matter what part of the world you are from.

    Enjoy Life! Keep Jammin!

  • @stratdave1 right, get it in tune and wail away

  • Mr Greg obviously is a highly skilled musician and fabulous guitarist for sure. I really think his true emotions and tone and skills shine more on his

demo's of his famed collection of serious axes. In his studio he can really dig in and dial in tones and style. Live performance is for the moment anything can happen.Greg is awesome.

  • You morons. A guitarist with feeling can plug in a $60 electric and make it howl in a loud amp. Pedals and $20,000.00 guitars are for idiots who would pay the queen their souls to have one peek at her vagina.

BIG FUCKING DEAL. PLAY A GUITAR WITH FEELING..any guitar.

  • @Ariel62073 I didn't pay THAT much to see her vagina...;)

I agree...it's how you touch it...the guitar i mean! its in you...tone comes from the player and its such a personal thing..like a fingerprint.

  • 1963 haircut

  • cool... but the wah had nothing to do there

  • Great tone but so less sustain? Always thought a 59 lp had more sustain

  • @hurricane555 - well, you obviosuly don't know what you are talking about.

Thta guitar has tone and sustain for days...it's just the way he plays it...

ITS A BLUES FOR GOD SAKE!!!

  • @hurricane555 You have been listening to Nigel Tufgen too much....sustain is relative to many variables and this one has tons but is being played clean. If it had more gain it would sustain ten times longer.

  • Fuck i love this! :D

  • MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMellllloowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

  • GREAT SOUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • pick a different haircut beck.

  • Barvo Gregor.

  • Gregor zaista si dobar bluyer.

  • こんな演奏にはオールドレスポールの音が似合いますね。

  • wow...what a feeling

  • oh shit its GregsGuitars!

  • 2:47 that's the first time i hear him speaks

  • SO NICE to hear a vintage LP played well, and not distorted to buzzy shit

  • @bunchacrapbunchashit I TOTALLY agree with you. Just plug and play, and let the LP do the talking, NOT the pedals, synths, etc.

  • this guys tone isn't the typical gibson les paul sound but it sure as hell is awesome and true blues

  • @bigboy1010101able i agree. that tone ur talking about is the fender amp.

  • Look for GregGuitars at youtube search.

  • *after the first 20 seconds*

    Me: Ok, take my Like.

  • I get it with these ridiculously-valued Les Pauls.

Played a buddy of mine's '57 reissue Standard and the damned thing practically played itself.

Really. It allowed me to play on a level I wasn't really at.

It was like the interface between my hands and my brain were close to non-existant. Almost like singing...

  • this is music not dubstep and i am 17 and i love this

  • @trojanman14520 cool story bro, you must be the only one under 20 too like oldschool music........

  • @antonantonantone

no , i`m only 12 and i love the old blues music and nobody sayed me that this kind of music is so cool but i still listen to this .. and i´m from germany .. (; but i´m the only one in my family who listen to blues and rock and roll ..

    - nik (:

  • @antonantonantone This is why you might think twice before being an asshat to someone...

  • This is about as good as it gets my friends

  • @searaydrivingguy ???????????

  • id fuck that guitar

  • That guitar possibly worth around 400k.

  • so sweet

  • NICE great frases...

  • Now this is good music

  • Who Dislike This?

  • What does he say at 4:48 lol

  • @NexusCapital he says that gregor hilden is playing the guitar

  • ★★★★★ Stars - Fantastic performace, sound, timbre, solos...........

  • Anyone know what the saxophonist was playing? Selmer Mk6? PS, I play a LP, but he plays the sax better!

  • Heaven!!!

  • NOPE !!!!! its really 40% guitar and 60% amplifier. Amp does it all. Pickups nowdays can be made 100 times superior to the "old" ones. Yes, i used to believe all that crap too. But i woke up. : ) I build tube amps now.

  • @jf99151 Hum I have played a 1959 Les Paul and it has what is referred to as a natural grainy (from French) or fuzzy quality like a slight distortion that is attributed to the process of 'demagnitisation' of the pick ups. That is why Gary Moore didn't touch the inverted neck pick up on his 'Greeny' Les Paul. Do you think that is a load of BS? I am seriously interested by the way not seeking an argument. Thanks:)

  • it just doesn't get better than this, this guitar is outstanding, makes me forget all of that robot guitar nonsense

  • The "love-tone" ... Period!

  • don't get me wrong i love my strat, but thats the tone!

  • Oh My Gosh, after months watchin' this one, I realize that the guy on the gtr is the one who own Youtube channel called GregsGuitars; the guy who shows us his playin' on a lot of pretty cool guitar! Maximum respect greg!!

  • @terzolilu I shit you not that's what I realized, then I read you comment. MIND ... IS ... BLOWN

  • are you sure it's a 59, ? I could swear it's a 58 because of the slight tonal differences, in the lower notes

  • @ReyCarmesi97 thanks for sharing, I'll never listen to this song, again

  • ...sounds more like a '61 to me and my pro-ears.

  • Here better than this at my local jam..oh, and they're all so smug.

  • These guys are smooth, and the tone to boot. yeah!

  • i know, that´s a 59 les paul. But speaking of les paul settings... if you wat that sound... first of all, for blues, in my opinion, the p90 les pauls are better. I have a sweet 56 RI and it sounds like velvet. Then, if you want a woman tone like this, treble PU: Vol: 7, tone 0... neck PU: vol 10, tone 0. The amp... for this tone i prefer blackface fenders.... and most important.... the fingers..

  • @hungerstriker27 You have a point.Few people know that Billy Gibbons used

a Gold Top with p90's on a lot of that early ZZ Top stuff, though he's better

known for using the "Pearly Gates" '59

  • i don´t understand the few people hating this... ok, it´s not blues as son house "woke up this morning, hurry, cause the girl you love is dead". I understand that. I love the very first blus. Painful minor blues fron the 1930´s. This is a mix between blues and jazz. First of all it´s instrumental. You can´t dislike this music and you can dislike the tone of a 1959 gibson les paul, through a dumble amp, played by a great player as gregor hilden. Don´t get that,

  • Good GRIEF that sax is PHFATTT! YESSS! TESTIFY, Son! Real music is NOT dead! Great guitar work. GREAT band! THANK YOU, Musikus for this AWESOME upoad!!

  • Jeez....talk about live tone out of a PC speaker!

  • @benttt2k

i got an old but pretty decent jvc ux-1 stereo hooked to the computer and i can tell you, although it's a low-quality vid it sounds fantastic

  • Acho tão monotono!

  • At 5:16 this gets so awesome. Baby making music right there that's what that is!

  • Damn this good music!!!

  • Extremely jizzable.

  • So this is what Gregor Hilden sounds like with the band. I've watched a few of his improvised stuff on his greg's guitar page. Thanks for posting

  • This should be labeled as "Les Paul pornographic tones"

  • This is perfect guitar tone

  • the best blues I ve heard in my life

  • the best blues I ve heard in my life

  • Sucks to say this but the saxophone player had better melodies and licks,, than the guitar player.... just sayin

  • I close my eyes and I fly. Awsome!

  • great

  • thats what a les paul should sound like ......distortion pedal ?

  • Booring ,...... still Booring .....

  • @MrAlex0262 i think you are like techno music

  • @MrAlex0262

    so is your mom

  • I feel like puffin' a big cigar a side with a fine scotch. Sweet

  • la manera de disfrutar la música a todo su potencial 1:10 yeah!!!

  • i'm in love love love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • looks like my Guys honeyburst....actually....its a new trad pro with a 50's neck that has a lovely sustain...it sounds just as rich...

  • great sounds blues at is best

  • @ReyCarmesi97 - I picture an awesome massacre-scene where some people who really deserves it, gets killed in creative ways :D

  • @ReyCarmesi97 157 can't masterbate to this song

  • @ReyCarmesi97 Moron!

  • @ReyCarmesi97 fuck you, pervert

  • miel en las manos...

  • reminds me of Mike Bloomfield

  • In brazil onde of those would cost my dads year income...

Thats why i have a condor strat...

  • And that's why the 59 les paul is the holy grail of guitars

  • Lovely Bass tone too

  • Awesome. Smooth as. Tone is shear bliss.

  • nearly perfect tone...

  • I must have listened to this 100 times!!

  • @minenu11 me 2...but everyday like 100 times :D

how to find something like that on youtube? :( i'm searchin for it,but i can't find it...

  • @dorianborovina

Look for greg'sguitars on YT. He has hundreds of videos on here where he demos some of the choicest guitars while playing some of the tastiest licks you can find. There aren't many better on the net.

  • @minenu11 me too

  • Bloody brilliant.

  • Nice!! and I've been listening to these sort of Blues for forty years.

  • I really don't like the gregsguitars videos at all, but the les paul in this video sounds amazing!

  • wow its awesome !!!! how much feel ! i like it guyz, keep it up !

  • AMAZING

  • jajaja minuto 1:10 - 1:15

  • 59 Les Paul....I hope someone delivered it wrongly to my house

  • pure blues

  • *nods head* nice... nice...

  • It must be so boring to be a blues bass player...

  • @WoWintosh Yep, exactly as boring as being any other kind of bass player.

  • @TheDaneTuts

So you're saying it would be boring to be someone like Stanley Clarke or Jaco Pastorius?

  • @WoWintosh I'm just saying blues bass isn't any more boring than any other genres?

And yes, I play guitar, and tried bass, and I can clearly say for me bass is alot more boring than playing guitar.

  • @TheDaneTuts

I started on the bass 38 years ago and was playing lead guitar 6 years later. I never got the guitar players attitude that they were "the band" at times. Most guitarists will never be able to play bass with mojo because it is a totally different instrument and a regression of sorts. Going from bass to guitar is a progression and is but a way to express oneself further. However, the bass along with the drums is the rhythm. Boredom flies out the window when you can play one.

  • @alwaysopen I didn't say it to sound self centered or anything, I just think that bass is not as fun as playing guitar, and I don't even play in a band and never plan to, as I just sit at home playing guitar because I think it's fun.

  • @WoWintosh Bass player period.

  • @RastaPlatypus

So being Billy Sheehan would be boring?

  • @WoWintosh Of course not! But I indulge in the occasional humorous stereotype. Being a drummer, I have to strike back every once in a while.

  • wow, I wonder how it feels to have the holy grail in your hands. What a wonderful instrument!!! Fantastic!!

  • This is what i want to be able to play.

  • @lgarvey Find slow blues backing tracks and learn the pentatonic scale. Easier then you think. The more you play to backing tracks the better you'll get. Also learn blues licks from some of the greats and use them while soloing to a backing track.

  • @oandaaudio Thank you!

  • @oandaaudio

One thing I will pass along for practicing is to watch yourself playing in a mirror so you can see exactly what your fingers are doing. It's fucking amazing how quickly you learn different modes and scales. I play sans amp most of the time around the house because I am more into how the chords and notes sound clean. The same for soloing. It has to sound right clean before it does amped.

  • @alwaysopen True, but without the proper sustain you cant even practice certain pieces cleanly. Your 100% right, playing clean is extremely important. I jam on Fridays with a guy who doesn't know what clean its and it gets really annoying sometimes.

  • Whats the name of the track he is playing?

  • muy bueno !!!

  • super kawałek

  • macors

    234

    hell yeahhh

  • A guitar's "sound" is also hugely defined by the amplifier used. A great guitar into a shit amplifier will sound like ... shit. EL34 tubed amps such as vintage Marshalls combined with classic guitars make sweet music.

  • @socksumi First, the sound comes from the players. Then comes a long time nothing at all times. THEN come unimportant things such as amplifiers or '59 Les Paul.

  • Google doodle made me search for Les Paul...and its worth it

  • I am no fan, but this is awesome! Thanks

  • Nice! I love this tone, very sweet.

  • Jimmy page kind of sound, love it.

  • I though he said Tommy Shannon xD

    but he said Tommy Schneller

  • HELL YEAHHH

  • 4:11 bass player " wow what a cool sound :))"

  • wow...it's nice....mmmm. the guy plays pretty good too...;)

  • I really like it that these guys are smiling, instead of rolling their eyes up in their heads....

  • nice hair, nice blues, its all good

  • Comment removed

  • GOD Is sooo kind. He made musics so that we can keep enjoying it ^^

  • krrrrrchhhh ... krrrrrrchhhhhh ..... krrrrrrrchhhhhh

  • What's the big deal. Pretty rudimentary playing....Nobody asked what year the DW drumkit was form. Definitley the last 10 years production. Nobody asked what year the SAX was made.

  • @itowedin If you don't understand,we cannot explain it to you. Man, makes me think of my old buddy Bloomers... good picking!

  • the strange thing is that none of the 150 negative vote say one reason why negative placed ..

  • I love it when music can really speak to me. Thanks much! :)

  • I am a teenager and this is so chill n groovey, where can i get a backing track to this?

  • Hello Greg is this the original 59 that you mentioned selling and replacing with your very special original gold top?

  • Carlitos Balá blues

  • voll_geïl_lEùtÊ_sÙcht_màl_ñAch:_olikohle_äúf_gØòglË_v0ll_gèIl

i then heard the tones and licks and said 'hell yehh it is!'

i also saw the name haha

  • Damn, that Les Paul is lookin bitchin' isn't it ... ooo boy do i love Gibson's. I wish i had one ... Its all about Fender and Gibson.

  • Einfach nur großartig.

  • now i can just close my eyes and listen to it over and over. that's a way better than being high on drugs

  • awesome playing.. but that les paul.... just siiiings man... wooow :)

  • Can i find a jamtrack like this anywhere

  • Was just watching Phil X and all his crazy antics and before getting to sleep I needed to hear something mellow, classy and where ego recedes into the background and then I thought of Greg...and already I am starting to feel much more appeased! So Greg thanks for keeping your music tasteful ...there is so much noise out there! The day you start doing tapping and Yngve style pyrotechnical licks we will form a SWAT team and come over to Germany to take you out!!!! Consider yourself warned:)

  • is there a way to get this song on itunes? if so, what is the name? very nice. thank you.

  • One of the best videos I've seen!

  • Way cool. I love this.

  • Great tone!

  • Just noticed his playing is a lot like Joe Bonamassas.
