This is how my teacher taught me. Dear Abby, Dear Abby, you won't believe this My stomach makes noises whenever I kiss My boyfriend he tells me it's all in my head My stomach it tells me to write you instead Signed, Noisemaker Noisemaker, Noisemaker, you have no complaint You are what you are and you ain't what you ain't So listen up Buster and listen up well Though you have some problems your life is still swell Signed, Dear Abby
one of my friends played this in high school guitar class.. the principal was there.. i remember the girlfriend thing .. it was a laugh and still is HAHAH
hi Dave :) excellent cover!! i think the most important thing is that it looked like you were havin a grand time playin & singin...pfffffft to the "critics" & as a long time JP fan, i think ya did him proud! :)
you did a good job. like this song. love prine. i used to freak at the self checkout. i'd throw a hissyfit and say i'm a gd astrophysicist and i can't even figure out how to use a newfangled cashier. and i can't spell
Hey man I have no idea what you are up to - I am thinking like a corporate executive who fancies himself a musician... but all is well man, a good song indeed. There is a line in that song " you are what your are and you ain't what you ain't..." But I great song to be playing nonetheless....
God is just some guy who bought Sim City and was bored. Some guy sitting at a giant computer is controlling you right now. When you have several decisions going through your head and you don't know which one to pick, God does. "Flirt? Tickle? Entertain?" He decides. You have no say in The Sims. You're just some computer graphic.
I always loved this song and the many variations, we sang it at scout camp every year. We always came up with something new to add to it over the winter. I looked it up today to post to a friends page who is not doing that good and feels indifferent. LOL I thought maybe this would help him feel better
I think you played it great! I find that the songs that are so special to me are so because of personal feelings like the sentiment about your Granfather. Some things are more important than a technicalty correct performance. You've got my subscription. Thanks for sharing and keep them coming.
I didn't realize I can see your hands and the chords. Try this. on "my rights are all wrong" Instead of going right to D major, transition from G major through A major and then D major on "wrong". If you can do inversion chords..play the A in first inversion. notes are C# E A rather than A C# E
i grew up listening to john prine. thank you john and one of my wonderful hippy, green before it was cool laid back in california sister. margie.the sun also rises.
I grew up on artist like john prine and jackson brown. It's good to know others have too.

John Prine is a bitch.
This song was really written by a man named Bob Stevens in the late 1980's.
Stolen song is stoooolen.
