this is the dumbest thing I've ever seen, you think getting rid of the mouse , and keyboard sets you free from something? imagine how hard it would be writing someone really long like a story, or someone for school typing everything by touching the screen? First of all think about how uncomfortable that would be, go ahead and try it on your regular screen. Your arms would get tired fast, and your hands will start to cramp before you get threw the first paragraph.
It's not like it's replacing the mouse or keyboard.... imagine this in tablet PC applications. If your walking through a warehouse taking inventory your not gonna be typing a long story, especially while standing. But later, if you wanted to type a sales report, you could use the keyboard and mouse that are standard on most tablet pc's. I personally LOVE these features, as I have been a tablet college user for 4 years.
I think there would be in the future build a BETTER voice regonising, so you say in dutch: Hoi ik vind dit vet (Hi, i think its cool) Then it REAL writes it in dutch, and not What do you say?
That a typo, notice how I said someone again after.. that's because i was thinking while i was typing, and i typed someone instead of something. anyways, what's your take on the touch screen?
i'm with you on those points. but i'm sure a touchscreen monitor is still just a monitor - a peripheral so you can see. i'm sure you can still use a keyboard and mouse in conjunction with the touchscreen... as you can see at 3:00, that PC has a keyboard. typing things wouldn't be a problem.
touchscreen mightn't be useful in every situation, like very long word processing or gaming.. but for mobile computing, or 'space-challenged' workstations, it'd be ideal.
Yes, but if you buy something like the MSI Wind Top AE2220 you get the touchscreen with the harddisk and stuff built-in at the back AND a keyboard and mouse AND Windows 7 with 'Touch'.
@Manfat20009 Yes. You need a touchscreen monitor, it will have a usb cable input as well. The prices are starting to come down to the $400 range, some major manufacturers have had sales as low as $300 for a 21.5" 2ms touch screen.
