I had a rusted ass, busted ass 87 fox body 5.0 mustang with no serious mods just bolt ons, 70mm throttle body, equal length shorty headers, catless h pipe, flow masters, short throw shifter, accel ignition coil, under drive pullies, ac delete kit, and cold air induction. With no leaks and 187k on the clock, Id say the say was pushin about 260hp to the wheels. The best part of this story as that some dude in an STI thought he was hot shit...

  • I dont know much about mustangs but i do know my NA z has beat a couple GT's on the highway. And not by much. Z's also blow dick from a dig epically stock TT's  IIRC the rear-end is a 3.69 compared to the NA's 4.09. Great for top end but horrible form a dig. This put a poor driver who at a further disadvantage. The other factor would be spool time or if he has problems making boost. Cant; syaing the mustang cant be fast, just know of a couple fast GT's, and haven't seen one that can beat my z

  • Not saying a 2 seater NA guy couldnt have swapped bumpers cause i have seen this done. Now a stock TT should run a 1/4 mid to high 13's which is not slow. I have never seen an stock z running stock boost run a 12 second 1/4. I run my in 12.2 at 15psi. Couldnt do it on 8psi.

  • This Z is not a 2+2, if you go to 26 second mark you can see that the gas cap is close the to the driver side door. If it was a 2+2 it would be on the rear fender. Also the front bumper has slots that only TT's have for the stock sidemount IC.

  • I love videos with ppl that don't know anything about one of the best cars ever made, the Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo. Now i personal have 2 Z's and know a lot about them. My 1st is a 1990 N/A 2+2, and my second is a beast of TT.  The TT is a 93 and i have ran a 12.2 1/4 mile at 117mph; dyno tune coming soon.

  • @podvarakly Are you dumb? Do you not know what EPA standards are? Trying to get power and MPG is hard when you are forced to do something new. Do you not even know the reason the supra got cut? Couldn't meet emissions and was too expensive. 300zx got cut because when it was NEW the base 300zx was riding at 45,000 USD. That 4.6 v8 producing 230-260hp had a base price of 20,000. Good job on potential. riding into high 30s and 40s.. I better get a decent car.

For me, the 300zx tt, pays off much better. A USED stang costs 14000-18000 euros, and a ZX TT around 5000. And you know that the ZX TT has better overall performance. Also, the regular MOT, and registration fee for a year: Stang-1200+ Euros ZX TT-380 Euros And don't get me started on maintenance... It costs alot to drive a stang round here...

  • i have a 92 twin turbo 300z with slight mods nothin fancy but i hang with 6.0 gto's all day and as soon as i upgrade my injectors, ecu, and put on a boost controlller because the guy before me took off the solenoids btw im only pushing 8 psi but ill be able to take the 6.0s instead of just running with them

  • @ViperGTr335 There are plenty of stock twin turbo 300ZX's that run 13's on factory parts. Just need to crank up the PSI on the turbos a bit. Considering the cost of a GT500 vs a TT, I would say the TT is a much better investment as it costs a fraction of the price and simple bolt on mods will help it take on, if not overcome a GT500.

  • Sorry. I'm calling B.S. First off, a TWIN TURBOCHARGED Z32 is not rice. Stock 0-60 is 5.0. So, either than wasn't really a TT (which it had the TT front end) or something was wrong. I SMOKE GT Mustangs in my N/A Z, so there was definitely something wrong with this picture. What are the specs on the cars?

  • 225HP with 290 ft. lb's of torque. This possibly explains why the Z was left behind from a dig. The suspension on a mustang is prehistoric. The Z will have no problem winning in the Twisties.   • @rwinter14 the lug nuts on my cobra require more torque than any 300zx puts out from the factory.

  • @sixti9 unfortunately for you, this guy runs a zx with no turbos. a 91 or 92 twinned out would beat any mustang, even many later models. I have 91 twin, with moderate engine work and tunning pushing 400rwhp. that v6 is gonna beat alot of big engines.. but hey I guess the bigger engines have more chrome shine,, but thats really all it has

  • @Elwindez Funny how you talk about the 'big' engines yet the V6 only beats the big engines because of two turbos. A Mustang GT is not difficult to beat, But once you start getting into the later Mach 1 and 'Terminator' Cobras, the 300zx loses the fight. I'm not even a Mustang guy, but I drive a heads and cam Firehawk Trans Am that doesn't have any difficulty with Z cars even without the 'chrome shine'.

  • @M44resto well a stock 300 wouldbe a good race for stock cars racing i bet, and with the same amount of time money and work done to both cars, the 300 would most likely come out on top, my na every v6 firebird and trans am ive gone against, (kids cant afford the fomulas) but if i had a tt im sure it would be as if it was a tt vs formula, not being dick so dont go out on me, but just my thought...
