The first person in the world to complete this puzzle as a solo effort was a 28 year old Russian man in February this year! He did it in 111 days (less than 6 months)!
Oh my lord. I would love if you had made a timelapse video of you putting this together. Also it would be a nice idea if you had a huge cardboard boxing, and use glue to glue the pieces together and hang it up somewhere. You truely are the queen of puzzles, hope you got much joy out of it!
Valerie, nice video. I completed 24000 (then) the Largest World Puzzle - LIFE The Great Challenge back in March 2009.
Can't put the links in comment box to my blog & Hall of Fame. But you can check out my mounting of the 4.28m (L) x 1.57m (H) - do a search in youtube for "Worlds Largest Puzzle Mounting Andrew 1st in Singapore " the one with tattoo on my back is me :)
In comments box, you can see my blog & Hall of Fame. Did you complete the 24000? BTW, I just ordered the 32000 pc :)
First of all: every bag is 2*2 pictures. Not a column of pictures.
Secondly: There is a way to tell which bag is which part. At every back there is a small black letter and number. The letter gives you which part of the puzzle it is. The puzzle is like this:
A B C D
E F G H
So for example: The top left 4 pictures is in the bag with the letter A.
In the bottom of the box you can find a big poster with the picture. At that poster you can also find the writing.
Hi Valerie! i'm Fabricio, from Brazil. I also ordered the puzzle last week from the French website and expect to receive it in a few days. Let's keep each other updated on the advance of the puzzle! good luck!!

Holy hell. I've done a few large puzzles in my day, but the size of that box is absolutley frightening.

@Shockplayers
Hi I know it's not true. I found out the next day and I didn't want to do a video just for that. I posted it on my blog though.
I had figured out by myself which part I was starting cos I had one corner, little pink and 3 eyes.
I still think Ravensburger could have written the letters much bigger and not black on dark blue.

@rasaundra
Hi there, I'm doing in on felt puzzle mats because my flat is too small and I don't want my child or my cat to to touch it!
I also bought 7 bottles of ravensburger glue.
