In defense of switchfoot Jon Foreman, the lead his solo work is the in your face kind of Christian music. I don't have a problem with them trying to reach the mainstream I knew about them, and I felt that their was something about their music that was diff before I was Christian or knew that they were. I do wish they were more outspoken about their faith though, even though the mainstream has caught on that they are Christians.
