Your set up in video: Numark Total control into computer, computer into SL1, SL1 into mixer, mixer into turntables using Virtual Vinyl, right? I don't understand how you can use your headphones plugged into your mixer to cue though. If you used the Numark IO as your sound card instead of the SL1 and plug headphones into that I understand that, but I'm surprised you can cue with your setup if I'm understanding correctly.

the NTC does not have a built-in soundcard, so you have to buy another one (i bought one for 7.50, which has 2 outputs), or if you have a 4.1 (or greater) card, you can use that

They make a DJIO box, pretty decent... It will work... the sound card on your laptop will work as well... Not to sure what kind of application you are in, but I wouldn't recommend this if you are doing it live... You will have no backup...

hi you can use serato vinyl but i wouldnt recomend.timecode signal is not strong & your pitch at 0 on the turntable will play it at -2 on your laptop.hope that explains your answer...hehehe

i have a problem why does my "bpm"jump around when i beatmatch after a few seconds its starts skipping it goes up and down a bit.hapoends wt my decks.

ex/ lets say one track is on 127.0 after it goes to 126.9 then back.weird its no estable,had this problem wt the decks,not wt the hercules,only thing i could think of is that maybe is the bass from speakers that make my needles jump,but i all ready put them as far as possible and it still happends..weird..

alright thanx dude.. I bought a b-52 Prodigy fx instead. it's a all in one, with a 4 channel mixer and 2 cd players. but I would like to connect it to virtual dj. I personally love the auto sync feature in vdj. its great when your playing a gig and get tired of messing with the pitch and time. so I was wondering if there was a way to actually connect the cd players to the software and use the auto sync feature? thanks again!!

Hi total control is the perfect tool for the virtual vynil program,u can control everything on it without playin with your laptop.perfect with or without your turntables,especially for video transitions.a standard mixer is good for audio but you need total control if u wanna cut up the videos & audio at the same time on the crossfader.
