  • some how this reminds me of Riverdance...lol

  • I'd kill for his right hand!!!

  • Steve Vai may rule the 7 string electric but he's not so adept on an acoustic.

  • just when you thought you were beginning to sound awesome, and you stumble on steve vai's brilliance...sigh...back to the drawing board then...

  • is it me or is Weiner kinda stiff when he plays?.... ha...

  • Comment removed

  • This is such a pleasure to watch and listen to.

  • Their Guitars Sounds Like Shit. SteveVai is able to play only on 8 gauge guitar strings. they're too bad for acoustic sound sorry stevie. you can't get the beauty from this acoustic box. too bad.

  • to be honest this was pretty boring

  • ill do tabs :D

  • does anyone have the lyrics?

  • this man is a mongo

  • remembers me of a simplified Pat Metheny..which confirms me of what i thought since ages ago: Steve VAi alwaysmade Fusion..only with distorsion added

  • @awfulguitarplucker There's more of a Frank Zappa influence than anything else. There were also some obvious heavy metal influences--that was the trend in the 80's. He's really more of a rocker than he is a fusion guy. But he wears a lot of different hats.

  • @dtongamusic oh right...there was the "Fusion" look on him: HATS! just how did i forget that UNMISTAKENABLE trait? X3

  • @dtongamusic Vai was in Zappa's band.

  • @jordanrichards320 Yeah, I know. Steve was in the band from '80-'81. He talks about it pretty extensively in a lot of his interviews.

  • so very nice

  • epepeapapeepapaeparpshuraappepeapae hehehe

  • He is great!

  • i want that drumset thing

  • He must be using 0.7 strings on the guitar. Sounds awful...

  • @JusticieroDeLaMuerte no this guitar is known for its shit tone, lol the first ibanez guitar that is shit, is steve vai's signature, no but this is like a factory building mistake or something because ibanez already said on the site it has a bright crisp sound, thats the last thing you want to hear on a guitar trust me

  • That's quite the drum kit.

  • give him a banjo

  • This just isn't my cup of tea. I am sure this is top quality stuff for this kind of music, but I can't catch the groove.

  • Guitar sounds horrible U_U

  • Great song. Reminds me a little of fire garden suite, probably only because of the acoustic sound, but still a great musician that steve vai.

  • needs keneally on piano!

  • ammazing !

  • I can certainly see why people would not like this right off the bat. It's not your normal type of tune. Steve, however, is not your normal type of musician. I love this song. It has a Rusted Root quality to it that I could listen to all day.

  • at least steve vai is famous at difference of all the haters who just want to spam somthing with bullshit!!

  • 4 people have different opinions than I have and Im ok with that.

  • go and activate your avs4you

  • hay algo a lo que este tipo no le saque musica , steve vai es increible

  • stevai e o caara

  • They were playing at some casino in Vegas. After bingo my grandmother went to see them and Wayne Newton.

  • Why is there always wind blowing in Steve Vai's hair? Does he hire someone to follow him with a fan?

  • @dialupmoron i've heard that he has his own signature stage fan that he has at all his shows to blow his hair back....you can see it in front of his monitor

  • @One2three4abc: VAI is gay?! i don't think so....he is happily married with Pia and has kids of their own....come on....let alone this guy if you don't like him...gossips are totally a waste of time.

  • That is probably the coolest drumkit... thing on the planet! :D

  • haters... stop hatin !

  • search Nepathya's "taal ko pani"....

  • this is more like a Nepali folk fusion\pop music. its KUTUMBA's (nepali band) kind of music.

  • Vai is a very fine and smooth player no doubt. Its the idiot with the standing drum set complete with skull that comprises the piece.

  • nice show, and the record version was nice too,but i wonder why some great musicians who can afford a lot of good stuff still use the piezo to amplify the acoustic guitar,i don t think vai has problems to buy a good mic.the sound of piezo pickups really sucks no matter what.tommy emmanuel uses piezo too,and i think he would sound even more better than he actually is with mic amplification

  • this is terrible its a bit like free form jazz but alot worse

  • Steve Vai - jak zwykle świetnie :)

  • to all the haters...really? are you that jealous that you can't play like vai...yah, there's no effects and stuff, but thats what makes it incredible...pure, natural talent!

this is a beautiful, well laid out piece of music...

if anyone wants to tab it out...feel free to send it my way!

  • @screamersp Why if someone say I don't like xxxx artist.

And that artist is love by many , all the artist cooksuckers say : YOU HAVE JEALOUS or ENVY that's complete stupid thing.

Maybe I don't even play guitar and not intrested in , but symply don't like what many likes and I say it and you tell, I ' m Jealous because I can't play like that , nonsense That's in first place.

In second why all the cocksuckers feel the need to play the lawyer of the artist.

    GET A LIFE.

  • @ViktorVR learn how to write before you write a book on youtube please

  • @Metcs666 well you just tell me what you don't understand.

It's incredible that you told me: Learn how to write before you write a book on youtube.

Whit that fear you have to the books I 'm surprised that you know how to read.

    Dumbass.

  • @ViktorVR Metcs666 is correct dude...just move on and grow. lol

  • @CommBreakDown Don't tell me that.

Iask him to tell me what is wrong not to tell me he is correct.

  • @screamersp

I would disagree, Steve Vai is a guitarist that is a pure example of a guitar player with only 10% talent and 90% of hard hard work.

    But yeah he rules :P

  • @bornathepicek I would disagree. Every musician is born with 100% talent, and about 10% of it comes naturally, but you never stop working to develop that talent. Steve is a brilliant example of working to develop your full potential, and he never stops. And he won't stop until he dies.

  • @MichaelSmithComposer

Look the thing is, if you took anything, and i mean anything, from gardening to playing the ukulele, and did it for 10-15 hours a day, just like Steve did with his guitar, you would become one of the greatest in that field. Its all about the time you want to spend with your interest.

  • @screamersp yes your right.fuck them all.hahahah i love tnat guitar by the way

  • 4:32

    Woody Woodpecker

  • I think Steve Vai is playing an acoustic guitar as if it was an electric...it just doesn't fit into "acoustic" sound

  • @alsgh422 In no freaking way he plays like it was an electric. Sure he plays a solo, but he plays it way more percussive then on an electric guitar.

  • @PhilosopherOnWeed I just find his acoustic performance to be somewhat over-done for an acoustic set, but that doesn't mean that I don't like this song. Everyone has different understandings of music and other genres, so don't take my "personal" opinion seriously. This is what I feel, and your comment is what you feel.

  • must suck to be VAI his fans are 95% dudes.

  • @One2three4abc

im sure back in his Frank Zappa/ David Lee Roth days he got more ass than a toilet seat

  • @One2three4abc Yes, it must suck to be making millions doing what he loves, being widely recognized as one of the best guitarists to ever walk the earth. What a bummer his life must truly be. -_-

  • @One2three4abc not when he was in whitesnake and roth's band. 95% chicks at least.

  • @One2three4abc

Actually it might not be too bad for Vai because he is a gay man. He was seen giving another man a quick kiss on the lips after the ceremony. Not that there's anything wrong with being gay.

  • @One2three4abc So are Arnold Schwarzenegger's, Roy Halladay's, Jeff Gordon's and Randy Couture's fans. It probably doesn't suck to be any of them. Men tend to be more appreciative of genuine talent.

  • @One2three4abc Yeah, but the other 5% are chicks who can probably shred almost as well as he can.

  • @ilovethewar1945 What is so terrible about this?

  • wierdest drum set i ever seen but i still want one lol

  • I think the violinists were moving too much/ weirdy for my tastes

  • @closetome : Actually I find this more impressive...

  • This is awesome!

Closetome: Of course there's no whammy bar or effects - he's playing an acoustic. It's also an ensemble piece so the focus is not only on him; it's collectively a beautiful piece.

    Wonderful!

  • what in the fuck is the deal with that drummer?

  • not as impressive without all the gay effects and whammy is he?

  • @closetome i don't see a video of you playing this song..

  • @closetome yeah hes sooooo terrible at guitar...lol

  • @closetome thank god someone who agrees with me

  • @closetome

To me is a very cool and enjoyable piece of music... did heard the harmonies and counterpoint melodies of the violins? The groove of the bassist and how is very coordinated with the drummer in every accent and every stop? how Dave Weiner plays some lines with Vai to reinforce the melody? Every instrument is aporting something to the piece... is a very cool ensemble

  • I wanna learn how to play Treasure Island

  • wonderful
