And I don't recommend using 'mastering plugins' like Ozone or T-racks, they don't sound very good. I'll take nebula 3, and waves linear phase EQ over that any day.

FL Studio sounds different than Pro Tools in the same way that an SSL board sounds different than a Neve board. Listen through good speakers.

For example, cubase has an audio 'enhancer' built into it's engine. FL Studio sounds slightly worse than for example PTHD to most peoples ears, but the difference is really small - beginners that are preoccupied with making 'wobble bass' sounds won't need to worry about it anyways.

Hey Jordan, I have a question. When I open the files in Massive alone, it works just fine because the standard version opens .KSD files. But when I open Massive in FL Studio it usually goes by .FST files. So when I open the .KSD files in the FL Studio Massive, the .KSD files are all fucked up and sound like poop. Is there any possible way you could save the sounds as .FST files and send me them (Or put the link to them in your facebook)?

To clarify:

An acoustic drum kit,

In combination with a bass that doesn't really reach the lower frequencies.

Because, in general, in a dubstep, or in this case 'brostep" track, you use electronic drums - a dancey or breakbeat kick with a heavy snare and short hats, as opposed to acoustic drums - for example, the snare and what sounds like a ride cymbal heard in the video.
