That is called a telnyashka... most people in Russian Army wear them, and they come in different colors, such as green, maroon, black, and I have seen a teal one before.
There is value in the color of the stripes, because that may signify what "specialty" you fall under. Maroon is for the Spetsnaz groups, blue is for VDV, black is for Naval Infantry, and I believe green is for artillery.

I like russian millitary.. The of the last few millitary with soldiers who are soldiers for Honor, Love to country.. and other things what make them proud. If you look on U.S. soldier you can see honor in his face too, but many of them want to take money and leave the army as soon as possible. The us is not winning in afghnaistan, niether is it losing. In iraq; the US is and has been winning for quite some time, thats is why we are moving troops out of iraq and into afganistan.
Anyway, in the end it doesnt matter how the americans fight it, in the end only the new governments of iraq or afgnaistan can truly end the insurgency.

Your alleged "training" consisted of a few American advisors talking to whoever was in charge of Georgia's military training. We haven't fully integrated them into NATO yet because they are not members.
