  • 3 laws of robotics don't apply when someone is operating it. And as for the "Gun started to aim at the person that was operating it." Um How does that work? The person operating it has control over it. Nobody is gonna say here, Drive this thing, but you don't get to control the deadly part of it.

  • well, IMO, technically it's not a robot, it's more like a remote controlled machine, at least to me.

So the laws can't really be applied on this.

  • the person who controls the robot, what is his job title called?....is it called anything at all?

  • His job is called "being a coward".

  • Whats this MOS called?

  • t is impressive, as man has made his high-tech weapons, I'm amazed what can engineers do, here in Spain also have done something in particular such as the Tiger helicopter. Eurocopter Company. I hope that in Spain we send something like that robots do not need more progress. henorabuena one for the video. and that thus arrives later to progress.

  • Can this robot eat RPG?

  • Your all a bunch of fucking retards.

  • just think what would happen if all parties involved in a war are fully equiped with robot soldiers...noone had to die anymore...great

  • wishful thinking since the point of war is *population control*..

  • dude u are officaily a dumbass

  • I need a robot to rob banks for me

  • this is happening today with remote drone planes over Afghanistan and Pakistan.

  • deapressing!

  • If it is a technology of Japan, a small nuclear bomb can be made at once.

The Japanese people do not allow a nuclear bomb to be made.

It is because it knows the tragedy in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The Japanese came to hate fighting.

  • それが日本の技術であるなら、すぐに、小型核爆弾を作ることができます。

    日本人の人々は核爆弾を作らせません。

    それは広島と長崎で悲劇を知っているからです。

    日本人は戦うのが嫌いになりました。

  • i think that thing is going to fall over if it starts to shoot

  • the military pulled out the only ones that we had in combat because the gun started to point towards the operator.

  • @dontTouchMyFknRadio Doesn't make sense. Theres no operator if the robot aims the fun end itself.

  • it would be so lame if that were to take my life away :|

  • looool

  • *runs behind a tree with a ak-47*

    *Shoots*

    *checks*

    it still works!!

  • i think the army changed the 3 laws of robotics, rule #1 a robot has the right to shoot a human if the robot has a good payed lawyer

rule#2 a robot can shoot another robot if that one doesnt have a lawyer

and rule #3 robots can... be gay hahahah

  • ahahahaha

  • Зачотная весчь

  • This demo showed no indication of up and down tilt of the weapon. It needs it! Otherwise lots of bullets are headed for the clouds. Does it fire or is it a remote control car with a gun sticky taped to the top? Is it capable of self control or is it being controlled remotely? The answers to these questions determine whether this thing is worthy of the army, or just worthy of the toystore.

  • remote controlled from a laptop and this one isn't half as good as the other one (tracked), their fielding them all over the place in Iraq now

  • a 300 pound robot with heavy steel construction? not easy to "break" if you ask me...in fact, a robot with a m60 mg has a much better accuracy than a two legged ape with the same weapon :P

  • titanium

  • the drones from "Fronlines: fuel of war" are cooler ;)

  • Man, this could be an interesting choice by militarys for recon drones or as security guards.

as for the 3 laws - there fictional, as has allready been pointed out.

  • the military is using bots like this, aready. google swords. 3 live in iRaq and more on order

  • do a youtube search for New Armed Robot Rolls out. and you will see that one that is currently in combat

  • If it is remote controlled, then it is just a weapon.

  • The laws of robotics apply to robots (autonomous machines). This kind of machine generally gets labeled a "robot" while it is only a remote controlled machine.

  • not to mention that the "3 laws of robotics" are taken from a fictional story and have no relevance in our world.

  • Very true. Science fiction from the 1950s. Good laws, but I don't think we will be applying them to all robots in the future (do you think the US Army wants a bunch of robots who can't kill people?).

  • lol

  • it looks like the great machine war just like on the movie matrix will start in about 20 to 40 years from now

  • you watch to much tv

  • cool. U could easily put an at-4 on that one or or maybe be 2 of them.

Nice to send in those first instead of marines.

And the 3 robot laws are crap. They dont think and wont think unless we build em to think. Its not any terminator bullshit here and there is a human behind the controll.

And if there where some kind of bullshit brain robot that controlled it. It wouldn't have any robot that made the ammonuition or put new ammo in that robot so it would stop after firing its 500 rounds.

  • why are you referencing something from a fictional story? 3 robot laws?

I'm also curious as to whether or not you passed 3rd grade English with your extremely poor grammar and spelling.

  • Im pretty sure hes reffering to the movie or the book I Robot by Isaac Asimov, 1.A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. 2A robot must obey orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. 3.A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

  • of course he is. Asimov wrote "the 3 robot laws"

As far as this robot being "just a weapon" ..are you people blind or just stupid? IT'S GOT AN M60 MOUNTED TO IT. ..DUH.

  • what a sick fuckin world we live in

  • Scary to think somebody could easily build one of these, put a gun on it and roll it into a public event. The police would be completely screwed trying to disarm it with their limited weapons. Really scary. Don't piss off a nerd with robotics knowledge!

  • just run it over with a f-550... that will do the trick.

  • iRobot laws?

  • there the isaac asimov laws of companion robots...

  • kill, mame, destroy

  • cool

  • you make um we brake um

  • robot armies, the only possible realistic way to achieve peace... that's not like having Edwin Star sing to seals.

  • what are all you thick cunts talkin' about?

it's a fuct up home vid,

i'm sick of retarded 3rd world idiots makin coments on the tube!!!

  • u insane putting a m60 on there????

  • F*** the 3 laws you can't program them and don't always need them.

    keep those military robots coming.

  • ha ha - they are, don't worry

  • There shall not be a lot of arms about the robot development of the United

    States.

Japan has a lot of robots that aim at welfare, the attraction, and

    communications.

    Japan is more peaceful.

  • I cuncurr er cuncur conce- you know what?! I'll just say I agree OK?

  • lol actualy japan dose seem more pecefull.

  • We're basically their military.

  • lol.

Japan is more peaceful because all their warriors were killed off and much of that has to do with the fact that they fell behind in industrial and military technology.

  • first off, cool robot! looks like its ready to start taking names

second off, what are these "laws" and "rights" of robots you speak of? the only laws i know of dealing with robots are the 3 laws.

    i believe they are:

    Never harm a human.

    Always listen to a human.

And never listen to #2 if it goes against #1.

  • en.wikipedia. org/wiki/Three_laws

  • oh, thats useful! thanks

  • actually there are no laws for robots the 3 laws apply to androids wich are entirly different from robots. robots have no concious mind were as an android has higher brain functions

  • Hawkeye - thank you for that clarification. Both Japan and Korea are talking about Robot's rights. Ex. "South Korea is writing up a code of ethics to protect robots from being abused by humans and vice versa." -- So they would be talking about androids, as well, then.

  • The three laws are kind of a joke, when you see what engineers are designing. My take, if you can save our soldiers lives with mil-t bots, I'm all for it. The laws at work are supply and demand. No one can stop this. It is inevitable.

  • good point 'the law at work is supply and demand'

  • The first law doesn't make sence by number of humans more then 1. The same appeals for 2. and 3.

Therefore, robots are not interested in number of humans being more then 1. Or 0, if he hadn't time to hide.

  • that robot should be put in one of those robot fights they have lol.

  • that would be a good way to see which bot is better. I would like to see this bot go against the US. SWORDS, Israel's bot or S Korea's bots

  • the first one will be in Iraq

  • WHOA! What the hell is that on the buggy?! That's scary lol. A remote control killer

  • 7.62mm machine gun

  • ahah the recoil would push it over.
