Texas also said that OSU had the best defense they'd faced all year. Now, OU's quality opponents: TCU (struggled with Colorado State), Okie State (lost to Oregon), Kansas (7-5 team that barely beat Iowa Stae), Nebraska (mopped up by overrated Missouri), Missouri (should have lost to Northwestern), Texas A&M (lost to Arkansas State and barely beat Army), Texas Tech (played nobody, nearly lost to Baylor, exposed by Ole Miss), Kansas State (lost to Louisville), Washington (no explanation needed)..
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Florida wasn't a great team, they were, but the Sooners were vastly overrated. But still, holding them to 14 is no small feat. USC usually shows up for bowl games and probably would have dropped 50+ on Texas or Oklahoma, had they played each other. Florida, while good, didn't impress me beating teams like South Carolina. I think if Florida and USC would have played, the final score would be something like 34-20 USC.
your retarded. they lost to Oregon State! USC does show up for bowl games, but they woulsn't have beaten OU or Florida. USC is overrated. they beat OSU without Beanie, and when Pryor didn't start. and Penn State is awful. when they lost to Iowa i though they were good, but after that showing against USC, i realized how trashy they were.
I could easily say that Florida must be awful along the lines of Syracuse for losing to Ole Miss at home, the same Ole Miss who lost to a Vanderbilt who lost to Duke. And where do you get that OU is better than USC? What happened the last time USC played OU in a bowl? And who did Oklahoma beat? Before that, I should mention that Texas got lucky against an OSU that lost to "awful" Penn State and lost by 32 to "overrated" USC. What would Beanie have done? It was 35-3 after three.
Ole Miss was good, but so is Oregon State and so is Iowa. Did you know that Iowa lost their games by a combined total of 12 points? Ole Miss wasn't a top team, though. In 2009 I think they will be the surprise. Now Vanderbilt? They had a nice 5-0 start, but the boat almost sunk when they lost to Miss State. After going 5-0, Vandy went 1-6 the rest of the regular season, even losing to Duke. Their best game was probably their defeat of Ole Miss all year long. Or maybe the bowl win over BC.
Well if the Sooners are your team, then that kind of homerism is kind of to be expected, but if not, who's your team and why are you claiming that the Sooners are better than USC? I think last year's NC game proved that Oklahoma's 60 point games weren't against teams with decent defense and Florida's offense was also overrated (beating up bad teams like Kentucky). What I saw was not the slobberknocking defensive game the score would suggest, but surprising mistakes.
ya, OU is my team. and they blew out TCU, the 2nd best defensive team in the country. also, OU broke the record for most points scored in a season, and i don't care who you are playing if they are Div 1 good teams, then it ain't easy. OU was topped on 4th and goal, and also threw a pick at the goaline. the game could have actually gone either way, if OU had scored on both occasions.
don't get me wrong, USC is probly the 3rd best team, but OU is better
Yes, they did blow out TCU early in the season, but I noticed that TCU and Utah seemed to get better as the season wore on. Especially when Utah beat Alabama in a game that could have been a blowout if not for sloppy play by the Utes. In all honesty, I think USC and Utah should have played for the national championship, Utah was the most deserving team and USC from how it looked to me was the best overall. Don't forget that USC killed an OSU that nearly beat Texas who handed OU one of two losses
USC also beat an OSU without Pryor staring and BEanie Wells injured. and Utah got past TCU on a game winning field goal while TCU got killed by OU. and OU got extremely better throughout the season. you can tell by the numbers, OU lost to Texas early, then beat a Tech by 40 who beat Texas. extremely overrated throughout the regular season. And Alabama was extremely overrated, through the season
That is true, but against Penn State, Beanie Wells and Terelle Pryor couldn't get anything going on the ground. Against a good run defense, Ohio State was actually better starting Boeckman (which they did against most of the USC game). If you remember, Boeckman led them to a NC appearance in 2007. I'm not sure if Alabama was extremely overrated, but they were a little, they did give Florida one hell of a game afterall. Oklahoma was a good team, but many of their opponents had suspect defenses.
Ohio St. fans remember one thing...this kid would not be at ur school if Fraudriguez does not leave WVU.He would be in Gold and Blue. Please do your homework before making these dumbass vid.. Oh yeah next time your in a bowl, please win... GEEZ!!! Big 10 SUXXXX
Terrelle Pryor is going to be introduced to the Ohio Stadium turf by Penn State this year, and the next year he'll get a formal introduction to the Beaver Stadium turf to complete it.
PENN ST dosent play anybody in regular season except ohio st. and if they luck out and win that one, its off to a BCS bowl in janurary where they will be opened up and exposed real bad by a top 10 team. then a dark toxic reality cloud will decend over unhappy vally...lol
Hmmmm, do I sense jealousy? You're just upset that Ohio State is no longer sitting high in that throne of the Big 10. Penn State played Oregon State (who will make a bowl and finish top 25), Illinois (ditto), Purdue (who you scored a whopping nine offensive points on), Wisconsin (who you needed a clutch play to beat), and looked good in all those games.
The difference is, Penn State is one of, if not the bowl winningest team in Division I. Penn State rarely loses, let alone gets blown out.
Oh come on. That's a lame, very very lame comment! It actually sounds like a veiled "trash talk" comment. Penn State blew their chances to get killed in the title game. Two Words. BE THANKFUL. You didn't have the team to beat a Florida, Texas Tech, Alabama or Texas. SO, be thankful you didn't get embarrassed. You can just go back to Happy Valley and try to beat Michigan State and then make a decent bowl. But Iowa? OUCH.
Unlike Ohio State, Penn State doesn't get embarrassed in bowl games. Penn State has a winning record against the SEC and could have taken on any of those teams, they all have weak points (Florida lost to Ole Miss at home). Losing to Iowa is really no worse than last year when you lost to Illinois. Penn State always shows up for bowl games.
Are you kidding? Penn State is 3-1 in bowl games since 2005 and 1-1 in BCS games since 2005. Also 2-1 in January bowl games since 2005. And I don't think 38-24 is "getting ran over like a Sunday walk "threw" (sic) the park". The top two in the Big Ten came up short. Sucks but there's always next year.
Penn State is 16-16 against the SEC. That's not a winning record. They're also 0-2 against Florida, so don't talk like you could have beaten Florida when you never have before.
Penn State is 7-4 in bowls (which is what I was referring to), and most of those losses in the regular season were to Bear Bryant's Alabama teams, I think Joe only beat Bear once. And why do you conclude we couldn't beat Florida just because we're 0-2 vs them? Each year has a different squad with different problems. And we only lost to Florida in the 98 Citrus Bowl because Joe Juvericious and Curtis Enis (basically our whole offense) were suspended. This year, unimpressive against OU.
Unimpressive? OU had one of the most dangerous offenses in college football led by Heisman Trophy winner Sam Bradford. The same team that scored 60+ points in 5 straight games going into the BCS National Championship. You really think Penn State would have done that good of a job defensively? They had a hard enough time stopping USC's offense. I wouldn't call your effort impressive.
Oklahoma's offense only looked good against weak defenses. They did better offensively against Texas Tech than a laughingstock even by I-AA standards Chattanooga. Florida's defense actually did okay (about on par with what happened to most Big XII offenses in bowls against a real defense), but offensively, they should have scored 40+ if those "OMG ESS EEE SEE" teams they played were so good. And about USC, they'd have probably dropped 50+ on OU and Texas, 40+ on Florida, and 30+ on Utah.
I'm not just saying that because they beat PSU by two touchdowns, either. I saw your Buckeyes play Texas, and you guys were honestly the better team. You lost because you scored too soon and went into a prevent at the end. Alabama and Texas Tech were pantsed by Utah and Ole Miss, respectively. Oklahoma's offense was overrated, as I explained, and so was Florida's, while UF's defense did live up to the hype.
So yes, I think Penn State would have done better defensively AND offensively.
Weak defenses? 3 of those 60+ point games came against ranked teams. About the number of points USC would have scored against OU, Texas, Florida, and Utah, don't bet on it considering USC only managed to score 17 against teams like Arizona and Cal. Those teams are weaker than OU, Texas, and even your Nittany Lions.
USC always seems different in bowls for some reason. They dropped 49 points on an Illini team that before that was 21 points away from being undefeated. And I wouldn't put much stock in a team being ranked at some point. Auburn, Clemson, and Wisconsin were once ranked very high, but reality set in and they came tumbling down. And Cal is decent, they beat Miami and MSU.
But still, I haven't seen any reasonable suggestion as to why Penn State wouldn't be able to beat OU, Texas, or Florida.
That was last year. We're talking about this year. Auburn, Clemson, and Wisconsin were ranked early in the season. I'm talking about late in the season. If a team is ranked late in the season, then they're obviously good. Cal beating Miami and MSU is hardly anything to brag about. Miami was 7-6 and both of our teams beat the snot out of MSU while Cal just barely beat them. Outside of USC, the Pac-10 is a pretty weak conference despite their 5-0 bowl record.
If a team is ranked late in the season, they may or may not be really good, as we saw with Hawaii in 2007. Regardless of what year, I can give some examples, last, 2006, 2005, and 2008 where the rankings are at least partially influenced by an overrated team staying highly ranked because of a high preseason ranking (for example, as much as I hate to say it, 1997 Penn State, who was good and not great, but stayed ranked so high because of a preseason #1).
Here's why Penn State wouldn't beat Florida. Florida's offense is very explosive, better than USC's, and we saw how Penn State fared defensively against USC. Florida would drop at least 35, probably 40+. Florida's defense was also very good this year. Penn State would be able to score a little bit, but not nearly enough. If they played, I'd say Florida would win something like 41-17
I'm not so sure. Florida struggled with an Oklahoma that lost to Texas and based on games played, was shown to be their equal. When Texas played Ohio State (who lost at home to PSU and was curbstomped on the road by USC), Ohio State was the better team that night but choked at the end. I'm not saying Penn State would have blown out Florida, but would have beaten Florida 5 out of 10 times, and maybe 1 out of 10 results ending in blowout. Now USC, they're usually great in bowls (except for 2005).
The bowl season showed that Penn State could have handled Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, and maybe Florida. But beating USC at USC is a different story. I am glad PSU did shut down USC in the second half (USC didn't take their foot off the gas until 6 minutes left), but still getting to the Rose Bowl is an accomplishment (except for last year, where Illinois had no business there).
Good chance of it. We use white outs/white houses for rivalry and homecoming usually. It'll be a rebuilding year for both teams and Michigan's stuck with RichRod. So some team who rarely wins the conference might, like Iowa or Michigan State.
haha. i think terrelle pryor is a jerk 4 working up his ego nd narrowing down his choices 2 the biggest rivalries in college football (at least in my opinion).
terrolle prior is not going to be as good as u all think... this is becasue he is now in a normal offense...in high school he played with the spreed so its not hes goona to be that good at all.....GO BLUE
I'm sure the corvette didn't hurt. I wonder if Pryor will report $10,000 in cash stolen from his dorm like Hawk. I also wonder if he will report all of cd's and stereo system as stolen if his corvette is ever broken into, much like MoC did. osu is cow sh1t. Bring out the drug sniffing dogs you classless JR college!
Not a cow in sight, but the city smells like sh1t. The dorm is boring as well. Most dorms look the same and it's a dirty city. It's like Detroit! That city smell is the worst, not a good city at all. Ask anyone who isn't from there. The Texas fans really had a blast when they beat you guys in the shoe and had their cars tipped over.
screw you you had a guy flunk out and then passed at ohio state you suck ass cow dung eat horse shit and a cow fucker michigan is redneck country ohio is awsome
You said "-Penn State", you mean some youtube loving loser who lives in his mom's basement and just happened to catch Penn State playing on tv after you finally changed the channel from Barney Re-runs right?
Oh no, not this assclown again...I've told you before we've got plenty of red t-shirts south of the border...that is if you quit fornicating with things we barbecue down here. UM sucks, go BUCKS!
All I ask is that all the OSU fans ignore Brewhaman and his shit. Pryor made his decision, obviously it was tough and he did what he thought was best for him. He probably will get better training to be an NFL QB than he would have under Rodriguez, who hasn't developed a QB ever(White still cant throw a 20 yard pass worth a damn). I wish he had picked Michigan, but he didn't, Brewhaman get over it. Good luck to the Buckeyes in LA and at your little reunion with the Gators in Miami.
Hey Matt, I couldn't agree more. The only way to communicate in a constructive way with "Brewhaman" is to NOT write messages to him! I wrote about 4-5 messages to him in the past and his responses are SO STUPID it's not even worth talking to him. He's a retard and he makes up bizarre shit so he's a total waste of time. GO BUCKS! BEAT MICHIGAN ONE MORE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Actually Brewhaman is a 12 year old who only gets off by scowering youtube and talking shit to people who he'll never have to confront. What a little bitch. And if he's not 12 then he's got a pretty fucking pathetic life.
well at least we get there.. and beat our 1AA opponents, you realize that you try to make fun of Ohio state and you make yourself look foolish while doing it.
I never knew how gay someone could be over a football player. Yeah, good choice not going to the school up north. Now OSU's big ass head can remain big because they have nothing to worry about next fall. National Championship again, hopefully you won't F' it up App State style this year as you have in the past two. Terrell tries to jump over one of our guys, he's going to get a helmet in the testicles. From a Michigan man through and through, all the best Buckey. Especially with your Pryor.
You're comparing two national title losses to a loss against a division 1AA opponent? Are you kidding me? That's not apples and oranges, it's like apples, and an elephant.
You got a coach that can't win big games. Pryor will be better coached at OSU, more so than he would have been at the other three choices.
Michigan sucks, the whole country knows it now. When poking fun at OSU, try NOT to look like a douchebag, k?
wait your an ohio state fan and your telling people to try not to look like a douchebag? Ohio is the leading producers of DOUCHES! michigan doesnt suck... you have two bad seasons in a row and ohio state fans are going crazy because these past 5 years they have finally better. When michigan has been destroying them ever since. Have fun with Pryor, Beaver Shavodrick is Three times as good(youtube him)
go ahead take pryor...i didnt think he is a good passer at all...he can sit on the bench all he wants next year...in 2 years he will throw 5 ints in the big house as sam mcguffie runs for 4 td's next year in that stadium that they didnt have enough money to complete down in ohio
Take this down...

Bring out the drug sniffing dogs you classless JR college!

its easy to tell you have never been to columbus not a cow in sight i love how ppl just make up shit.
shotzz9 3 years ago
Not a cow in sight, but the city smells like sh1t. The dorm is boring as well. Most dorms look the same and it's a dirty city. It's like Detroit! That city smell is the worst, not a good city at all. Ask anyone who isn't from there. The Texas fans really had a blast when they beat you guys in the shoe and had their cars tipped over.

You said "-Penn State", you mean some youtube loving loser who lives in his mom's basement and just happened to catch Penn State playing on tv after you finally changed the channel from Barney Re-runs right?

Perfect fit? Well, I guess...you get what you pay for I suppose. And OSWho does have a home for the adolescent head cases...so yes, GREAT FIT!

Oh no, not this assclown again...I've told you before we've got plenty of red t-shirts south of the border...that is if you quit fornicating with things we barbecue down here. UM sucks, go BUCKS!
JNvids 3 years ago
All I ask is that all the OSU fans ignore Brewhaman and his shit. Pryor made his decision, obviously it was tough and he did what he thought was best for him. He probably will get better training to be an NFL QB than he would have under Rodriguez, who hasn't developed a QB ever(White still cant throw a 20 yard pass worth a damn). I wish he had picked Michigan, but he didn't, Brewhaman get over it. Good luck to the Buckeyes in LA and at your little reunion with the Gators in Miami.
matt61387 3 years ago
Hey Matt, I couldn't agree more. The only way to communicate in a constructive way with "Brewhaman" is to NOT write messages to him! I wrote about 4-5 messages to him in the past and his responses are SO STUPID it's not even worth talking to him. He's a retard and he makes up bizarre shit so he's a total waste of time. GO BUCKS! BEAT MICHIGAN ONE MORE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually Brewhaman is pretty knowledgable when it comes to college FB. Nice guy all around, but unfortunately a BLUE fan....ughh
JNvids 3 years ago
Actually Brewhaman is a 12 year old who only gets off by scowering youtube and talking shit to people who he'll never have to confront. What a little bitch. And if he's not 12 then he's got a pretty fucking pathetic life.

well at least we get there.. and beat our 1AA opponents, you realize that you try to make fun of Ohio state and you make yourself look foolish while doing it.
ohiostate1013 3 years ago
I never knew how gay someone could be over a football player. Yeah, good choice not going to the school up north. Now OSU's big ass head can remain big because they have nothing to worry about next fall. National Championship again, hopefully you won't F' it up App State style this year as you have in the past two. Terrell tries to jump over one of our guys, he's going to get a helmet in the testicles. From a Michigan man through and through, all the best Buckey. Especially with your Pryor.
josebroo 3 years ago
You're comparing two national title losses to a loss against a division 1AA opponent? Are you kidding me? That's not apples and oranges, it's like apples, and an elephant.
You got a coach that can't win big games. Pryor will be better coached at OSU, more so than he would have been at the other three choices.
Michigan sucks, the whole country knows it now. When poking fun at OSU, try NOT to look like a douchebag, k?
cw82352 3 years ago
wait your an ohio state fan and your telling people to try not to look like a douchebag? Ohio is the leading producers of DOUCHES! michigan doesnt suck... you have two bad seasons in a row and ohio state fans are going crazy because these past 5 years they have finally better. When michigan has been destroying them ever since. Have fun with Pryor, Beaver Shavodrick is Three times as good(youtube him)
