I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps Carb and tank clean and rustfree
They came with the Hemi 6cyl (yes, a hemi-headed 6cyl) 245ci, 265ci, or 318ci V8, or some export models had a 225ci slant 6, and a rare model had the 340ci V8, but the V8s were more of a luxury option. The Hemi 6's were exploited as the performance model, offering a 6-pack carb option on the R/T and the odd rare 770. 6-pack is now synonymous with 6-cyl in Australia as people who don't drive mopars are usually horribly ignorant. Manual transmission was either a BW 3- or 4-sp, auto was 904 or 727.
I use to have a E38 Bathurst charger with track pack, i.e. big tank, 16:1 steering, when I bought it in 1988, it had a 340 in it with nitrous!I had the original 6 pack 265 ci motor with webers, that i was going to put in. I sold the lot for $7000 AUS in 1991. I surly miss it now! They go for $150K AUS now!!!
I think rdeco73 meant Mad Max "in spirit". There was a 65 Valiant in Mad Max, but we're talking 70's coupes, so.. Mad Max 2.. a "chrysler by chrysler" coupe with the back half cut open like a ute, the top of the bumper cut away and a pontiac grille & hood. It had a projectile turret on the back.. also a Charger with a fat stripe down the side, with 50's Buick teeth in the grille. Other MoPars include the Dodge C-series pickup & the pink gasser-style 59 DeSoto Firesweep.
Aussie MOPARS are so cool. Right out of MAD MAX. They were like hybrid American versions. Mutated and abstract. Total works of art and beautiful. I love that car, man.
That is my video, I took it in my driveway here in So.Cal. The car had a 360, running a twin 3" exhaust built by Gonzo in QLD. I have a Six-pack Hemi six powered Charger (orange one) amoungst a bunch of other Aussie cars I have brought over

Didn't most Aussie Mopars have 6-cyl. engines?
I'd actually like to see more Aussie muscle cars over here, especially the Valiant Chargers and late '60s and early '70s Ford Falcons.

Yea most or all valiant chargers ran a 265 straight six. came with a four speed or a auto.
