Mike: You have become one of my favorite people. If I was closer to you I would start back to school at my age, just to be in your music class. Thank You for the wonderful Ukulele lessons. I have learned so much by watching you. I also have a Oscar Schdmit OU5. Love it. Wish there was Uke Festivals in Ohio.
any chance you could explain the little bit before you go into the chorus. Where it goes G - Gsus - G. when you go back to the final G you seem to put in a little extra bit. G in another position possibly?
Can anyone tell we why ukes are stringes the way they are? The upper string being G, between the E and the A string. What's the major advantage to string it this way? I know banjo's are stringed the same way, there must be some magic reson for this.

I really like this song but the part about the dog always chokes me up. Thanks for posting it. Jim Stafford did a great version of this in the 70's.

Great arrangement Mike....could you give us the fingering for the Gsus4 you are using?
madamgaloo 1 year ago
madamgaloo, it's similar to G except you play the 1st string on the 3rd fret.
So, it's 1st string 3rd fret,
2nd string 3rd fret,
3rd string 2nd fret,
4th string open.

Thank you for that one.
