Not gay.Henry wa known to have an athletic build when young with strong calves. He saw Francis King of France as a rival - a competitor. Henry had male friends as normal for a king and Kings and Queens then lived in close proximity with others including servants. Even in the 18th century French Kings had people who dressed and undressed them, watched them piss and shit and removed the effluent. Kings and Queens died and gave birth with an audience.
