  • Is it just me or does the horse's back legs go really out and are weird? I don't know what these people look at to tell what's a good horse.

  • It's soo stupid ..

  • nous le repete 4 fois c'est null!! et la music de caca doigt!!! :)

  • different people have different training ways. lets not diss eachothers way of training. i jump my 2yr old QH over a foot jump and she got out one day at the barn and jumped over a 5 foot fence and shes only 13.2

  • im not the one person whos going to get on to you about how old u shud jump a horse at at what age or anything.he's ur horse. other people shudnt be judging u and making comments on how u trianed ur horse, its none of thier buissness but its good that they gave helpfull advise and thier opinions. if it was me tho, i wud have waited another yr or two before jumping my horse.but thats me and ur u and we are two different people with very different opinions and horses. btw ur horse is looking great

  • @softballbabiii14

I normally don't get involved in these things, but TB's definitely don't mature faster than any other breed. They didn't 'evolve' to be that way, horses are only raced that young in the US. In Europe they are at least 3, usually 4.

The majority of track horses do walk away with injuries. They're bred to run, but they don't grow faster than any other horse.

    Get YOUR facts straight.

  • @lovebonaccord Your "facts" are not true. We race TB's here in Europe at the age of 2 and early racing is just beneficial for horses.

I had a TB maree tahat started racing at 2 and continued for 4 years on track. I bought the horse for show jumping and won several international competitions untill she ritered at the age of 16 still sound and going strong.

Now the horse is 26 and have got 6 foals and still loves to jump and has never needed a vet exept for vaccinations.

  • Everyone is saying that its not good to jump that high at 3 years old. I don't know what breed of horse he is, but he looks like he could be a thoroughbred. In that case, they are mostly done growing by age 2 (thoroughbreds mature quickly due to horse racing at a young age) so they would be ok to jump at age 3. I'm sure these people know what they are doing.

  • @softballbabiii14 @softballbabiii14 what??? TBs don't mature faster because they are made to race, they are raced before they are mature and most of them have serious injuries, lifelong health problems, and premature death!! Sure horses mature faster than people but until about 5 they are stil considered "young" . Would you make your 5 year old child jump hurdles, sprint as fast as they can while being flogged, or better yet, both at the same time? I think not.

  • @caswombat Yes they do mature faster. They were EVOLVED to be that way! And NO not all TB who race end up like that because I know MANY retired racehorses who lived to be in their 30's. It's how they're treated. It doesn't matter if they race young because they are bred for that. Its how fast their bones grow, NOT HOW OLD THEY ARE. Grow up and get your facts straight.

  • @softballbabiii14 Just because a retired race horse lived into its thirties does not mean they dont have alot of health and joint problems. Do you know what kind of crap most trainers shove into horse's veins? Sterroids, drugs, you name it. Its been in that race horse's veins. I;m not saying all trainers do it, but alot do. Look it up. a horse's knees arent finished developing until 3 or 4. And people want them to jump 5 feet at 5 and 6 years old? Race when they're jst 2? Its plain stupid

  • magnifique !!

  • yeah you can't jump a horse so big when his ligaments and tendons aren't half developed yet! Shame, he's a gr8 horse, but what a shame he's gonna be arthritic and half-lame by the time he's 10. Niiiiice NOT

  • c koi la musik

  • poor baby horse =(

  • they just keep getting better!

  • just so we get this straight, horses are NOT finished growing at 2, my 4 horses that ive raised since they were born, have proven that, and horses can jump TINY things at 3 1/2.they should not be competing at 3, and should not be jumping anything over 2' until they are four.idk why some people want to break their horses down so early,it doesnt give them any kind of edge to be started early.

  • you know people like you that just have to critizice things just make you tube a not so fun place...lighten up a little and appreciate the magnificance and beauty of a horse! =] =]

  • My horse is four and has only jumped 2 foot jumps. I don't jump him much, but that's as high as I would like to push him for now.

  • @LeapofFaith313 YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!! i agree!!!!!!! that's why they have so many racehorse fatalities, because they race them so young, and their bones get damaged and broken... couldn't agree more

  • if it was harmful to the horse then these competions wouldnt be held, also here in ireldand ther are always 4yro showjumping competions, and at Dublin these are 1m high so it does them no harm as many ofthose horses later go on to be grand prix jumpers

  • that jump is like nothing for that horse

  • that's not a good thing. considering horses knee's aren't finished fusing until about 4 years old, jumping 5 feet at 5 years old means that your horse has been jumping high since it was young. that can lead to a lot of terrible leg and joint problems. my boy is only 5 and we're still jumping 2 feet. and i just started him jumping this year.

  • I'm from German and our barn never started horses until they were 6.. I think braking any horse in at 2 is too early regardless of breed, they are big animals so it take longer for them to develop the muscle and tendent strenght to be jumping that high.. I think as long as he is free jumping its okay, but with a rider could cause damage.. he is beautiful.

  • nobody would ride horses hardly or in a lot of work when their younger, because you have to break in a horse before you turn it away to develop because they will become harder to train.

  • Just so people know, horses are fully grown at 2 years, & are broken at 2 years, so jumping at 3 is fine

  • only in the US are horses broke in that early.. In Germany and in most European countries they don't break them in till they are at least 5-6 years of age.

  • Umm, no sassy mustang, you are very unqualified it seems, for we do a pre breaking in here in France and in all European countries at 2, and the horse is broke at the age of three, for we have young horse championships to qualify for at 4,5 and 6yo and a 4 we must execute a course of 16-18 jumps at 3'6", at 5 at 4'3 and at 6 at 4'6"-4'9"

  • Um No.. in my show barn in Germany all the show horses weren't broken in until they hit the 5 year mark.. and then after like 6 months of flat work and training they did jumping and did the qualifiers at and etc.. it's possible to get a horse jumping 3'-6' after the first year of being rode in.. if the instructor knows what they are doing..

  • none of your horses have gone to lanaken and couldn't go to Lanaken or to any young horse trials because they aren't trained

  • so that was like back in 1996, I don't even ride in Germany anymore.. so it doesn't matter to me where my horses go.. I was 16, I do all my training by my self now.. and love it.. .. good luck with your Lanaken trails,.. snob!!

  • thanks and same to you

  • I agree with you, thats pretty damned young to be jumping a horse that much, or at all for that matter.

  • @nellking

#yeahh i sortof agree.. i just finished a polo pony at 2 years old and shes brill at flying changes and all stops/turns.. but i think that very high jumping should really only start when their bones are hard enough (4ish) x

  • bollocks are horses fully grown at 2 years, if that was true then why do is it that when people are selling 3 year olds, they say '14hh but should make 15.2hh' huh huh huh!?!??!!

  • LässT diie HiinTerbeiine zudoLLe Hänqen..

    vorderbeiim iisT iin ordnung..

    aber niicht PerFecKt =)

  • Le top du top des croisement !

  • as long as the horses are well cared for with regular vet checks then starting to jump them at 3 should be okay... obviously if any of the scans pick up on any tiny problem they should be stopped jumping, but it differs from horse to horse. An 8 year old warmblood still has about a year of growning to do and you dont hear people saying 'oh no, hes still only 8 you cant jump him yes as his tendons might give way, or his fetlocks ar spavin bone become bowed' do you? I mean absolutely no offence!!

  • woow

  • il a largement les compétences pour aller plus haut !

il es magnifique et il a un super coup de saut !

  • its young but if u think about it they start racing TBs at that age so whtas the diffrence so i dont see any problem with it. if the horse was struggeling over the jump then ya but he cleared it with a mile to spare he really looks good

  • yes he cleared it, but it doesn't mean it's not gonna hurt his legs a ton in the long run

  • no the way he cleared it it aint gonna do anything to that horses legs. horses at age 3 weigh at least 500 or more pounds proly more. that jump isnt going to hurt him at all. he cleared it with room to spare, no strugling at all hes fine

  • ugh, no. just because he isn't struggling to clear doesn't mean it's putting way to much impact on his still growing legs, they are getting ruined. but it's a long term thing. you don't notice it when your doing it. their limbs are still growing, he is going to chip a knee of bow a tendon.

  • no if hes 3 hes fine, its not going to hurt him horses are very big animals, i have 2 and i work at a farm with TBs, they start racing at 2 and 3 years old jumping a horse that was breed for jumping at 3 yrs old isnt going to hurt him.

  • exactly, TB's that are raced early are retierd early or killed early because the early training on their growing legs will hurt them. just because they are big do not over estimate them. they have very fragile legs when they are still growing, you should never do strenuous work on them until they are 5

  • ya well whatever i aint going to sit here and argue with u, u train ur way and other ppl will train there way, so ya if u think ur right then go for it but whaterver i really dont care

  • Actually they start racing horses much younger than that, just you prove your point even further.

  • you no your not supposed to jump them until their 5 right??? your going to destroy his legs

  • hello excuse but I don' t speak English. I wanted to ask if you could give information to me on music of this video, if always possible THANKS! and it compliments for the video. HELLO!

  • He looks like his daddy.

  • your going to ruin him for jumping him so early thats cruel! is that all he does? and those jumps arent evan proper there just fences stood up!

  • are you blind? high jumps are slanted to fit it to the horses jump pattern

  • knap hoor..;)

  • why do they jump these horses so early? it's going to ruin them :(

  • how you know how old it is?

in the description box it says the video is 3 years old. its does not the say how old the horse is

  • it says "QUALITY, 3 YEARS OLD, FREE JUMPING, BY L'ARC DE TRIOMPHE AND MOTHER BY QUIDAM DE REVEL" 3 years old means the horse is 3 years old. that's WAY to young to be jumping that height.

  • woah this horse jumps VERY akwardly..idk if its just me.and he looks way to young.

  • it could ruin that horse's groth plates

  • his legs are sooooo long!!!!!

  • haha he jumps freakishly

  • hes a bit young to be doing that height :S but i spose hes not being ridden so its kinda ok

  • To young to be jumping such heights. The impact on the forelimbs can greatly affect the growth plates, or even cause stress fractures. People are always eager to make money before an animal is ready. Just look at horses being raced at just 2 years old. 3 years before they are skeletally developed. No wonder so many horses end up with chronic lameless and have to be shot.

  • wowowowowowowowowowowowow!!! that is an amazing horse!!!:):):):):)

  • That's cool!

Seems like he's capable of doing much higher fences than this.

  • i personaly dont like the way he jumps......he kicks and spreads his back legs a bit far for my liking......but thats only wat i think.

  • i agree to that...

  • Yeah, but he looks as if he's having fun tho

  • yes i agree to!

  • awesome

  • he is a beautyful jumper and he is not 2 young 2 jump so big

  • isn't he a little young to be jumping so big? Really beautiful though :)

  • Amazing especialy for a 3 year old. Nice form very long surdy legs. Nice fine head. Beautiful

  • woww :) it's a fantastic horse :)

  • il vole o dessu d obstacle !! merveilleu

  • wow that horse picks up its hind super high

  • That's some pretty hard jumping for a three year old.. x3 Well, free jumping is a great form of exercise for a young horse, but I wouldn't go and jump them so high. :3 Not until their bones set. But then again, I don't know this horse, so I'm not judging anything. x3

  • nice jump

  • making a really nice shape

  • wow

  • wow very leggy!

  • I know a pony named L'Arc de Triomphe

  • is it me or is that horse fab

  • I free jumped my filly 4 feet when she was 3, not often but enough to get her sold. It wouldnt hurt them. I know people who ride horses over jumps at 3 and their horses dont have issues either.

  • its actually not bad because he/she doesnt have a rider on her...and they are pros They prob. know more then you on this since its their business *no offence*

  • It got some skills , but just because its jumps really high over the jump, doesn´t mean that it does that with the rider on ,later .

  • wow he could go so much higher than that.

look how much he cleared that!

and hes not even tucking his feet that much.

  • wow how high was that jump!??

  • he jumps kinda wierd, it almost looks sloopy but the horse is beautiful.

  • probably because its only a 3year old? needs time to develop its jump :P

  • and then already jumping that high?

  • i think it looks sloppy because of the sun behind him it kinda makes his legs look real thin and weird looking

i see what you mean though. but he dows have a nice jump and could jump atleast 2 foot higher once about 5

  • wow cleared it by miles

  • OMG thats what loose jumping is all about , to get young horses confadence in jumping bigger fences!

    YOU TUBE! HA

  • How is that too high for a 3 year old? Many people train horses to jump at that age. The good thing is no one is on it yet- that can be the real problem. Pretty horse!!

  • cute, cute, all legs

  • nice horse, dont like the way it jumps though...but it has talent. :)

  • how high is the second jump!

  • kol horse he must be real fun horse to ride if he can claer that

  • now thats what you call a big jump, easily cleared it
