their live sound was REALLY thin...we saw them live twice and they sucked both times. Their records are good because of all the overdubs.

@fanofprotopic I'm completely opposite. One of the things I love so much about Led Zeppelin is how different they sound live versus on album. Live, you don't hear all the multiple guitar overdubs; thus, changing the song drastically. Some people dislike that, which is understandable, but for me it's like a whole different song.
What I like about that is if I'm in the mood for the live version, I play the live version. Same thing with the studio version. It keeps everything new

@fanofprotopic granted there studio recordings were amazing, led zepps draw to many was the magic they made live, theres been no other band quite like them live .
