changing from 4.2E to 3.2E works, but bricked my wii when trying to upgrade to 4.1 as per your video. So recommend after downgrading to 3.2 not to try to upgrade to 4.1.

you have to instal it from the banner bomb in your sd menu it is at the bottom left of your wii menu hope this will help you

I have seen countless videos about downgrading from 4.2, but NONE of them refer to reverting Boot2v4 back to Boot2. This causes inability to use many old IOS revisions and inability to play imports out of the box...I think this the bigger issue than the dummy IOS files made by the menu version in itself...am I the only one that notices the pink elephant in all of this?

How about bootmii as boot2? Then backup NAND-memory and copy the dump in some secure folder on your computer. THEN you continue with this as usual. In case of a brick you can just load the backed up NAND memory and you can give it another shot (if you know what to do in order to change the likelyhood of another brick, that is)

Just to say, if you are updating to 4.1 you will need to install IOS60 patched. Check wiihacks out. cos i bricked my wii updating now i have another one. Happens if you don't check things out before.

Yeah Its a bad 4.1WAD file that is causing the bricks. I guess when he said optional that means don't so it. So if you want to downgrade go ahead it works, just don't upgrade with the 4.1 file that is included. Get that somewhere else..

He's writing this guide from his latest IOS version. you have to use your latest ios version or one that works for you to install wads. In my case, i use IOS 36.
