My father Manny Rodriguez Pete's brother wrote i like it like that, micaela, asi asi and some others.Sadly he passed away this past april i miss him a whole lot
Help!! Track number 2 there's a song called -- Bobby-- I've been looking for this song for years. Trying for months to download it from many sites but nobody seem to have this song. Any ideals? thanks.
Great upload indeed. I'm dating myself but I remember this tune from my kid days. Incredible music from a time and place that now seems so far away. Pete Rodriguez was fantastic but don't forget Richie Ray (Ricardo Ray)...Oh to be Puerto Rican... Great latin Soul. Gracias por compartir..Thanks for sharing.
Definitely a Boogaloo classic right here. I think from 1967 or 66. Pete Rodriguez is without a doubt the king of Boogaloo. Always did like this tune it shows a classic example of this underrated genre which mixes two great elements Soul music and the ploy-rhythmatics of Latin music, hence this Latin Soul fusion. East Harlem no doubt. A very danceable tune without a doubt, great upload.
So many wonderful memories flow thru my mind as I hear this song.
The record shop across the street played it over and over again... : - )
They bring back my childhood teen years back in Parkslope 1960's early 70's.
We partied so much and I will always remember the togetherness of our friends.
So very pround of my roots, Boricua hasta la muerte............
