  • were singing this now in a show choir category:) phantom is my favorite musical! you all did a good job, and you have a lot more people than my school, we have like 25 people lol. good job!

  • and were adding in masquerade lol

  • Why are the woman wearing cummerbunds

  • We sang this 2 years ago and I loved it so much I still know every bass note. <3

  • I'm singing this medley. I wish they had at least left in Music of The Night.

This was very good. A little rushed at parts but otherwise very good.

  • i'm doing this exact medley in my choir! i loooooooooooooooooove the music from phantom it's perfect

  • Kinda cheaped out, no music of the night or masquerade

  • Omg!! I JUST sang this in a choir performance! Love phantom! :D

  • VOWELS.

    oh my goodness.

  • i song just the same medley with my music class in my high school, it sounds so awesome! I hope it did with my exam-project too ;)

  • beautifully done!!

  • love this!!!! ♥

  • The men sound beautiful

  • I agree with FDJAfamily, where is Music of the Night?? It's one of d best songs there!!

  • For the love of all things good and Phantom-y, and DO I dream again! NOT SO!

  • @FJDAfamily I'm doing this exact medley with my choir, believe me the sheet music for it is and SO I dream again.

  • @Aventura459

i don't mean to start a chat war, but I know Phantom inside, outside, upside-down, and any other way you could think of it. In the show, where the medley comes from, the lyrics are, "And DO I dream again, for now I find/ The Phantom of the Opera is there, inside my mind." Perhaps it was a typo in the sheet music.

  • @FJDAfamily So do I. It most likely is a typo in the sheet music because it's what our copies of the medley have. Every other performance of the title song has the word "do" instead of "so" as well.

  • @FJDAfamily In the sheet music for this medley, the words are written "And so I dream again" My choir director had us cross out the "so" and write in "do" because it bothered him so much. but it was intentional. It IS a medley, so they take liberties and change things, but yes, you are right about the original lyrics.

  • Who is the arranger of this particular one?

  • I love this medley! For anyone that said their bad, you don't know what you're talking about. I've been in a choir for 8 years, they performed it wonderful. Also take into concideration that they can't be much older than 7th or 8th grade. The soprano part is almost always more dominant so don't say there's too many, just the ones that are there have very strong voices and are very powerful which is good. The alto part isn't heard because they're in a hard middle range.

  • Where the heck is Music of the Night???

  • too much of the sopranos and not enough emotion in the songs. it felt monotone.

  • no vowel shapes AT ALL..too fast in parts...not blended well...@CaitlynTralala agreed with the sopranos!

  • This is supposed to be mysterious and have emotion.

    This is SO BLAN!

    And sopranos, WAY TOO MUCH.

  • if these sopranos were in my school, the men would have a fit along with the choir director. in our school, the sopranos are perfectionists, the basses are strong, but lazy, the tenors are too fast, and the altos are too quiet., so we try to balance out with our flaws versing our strengths. this choir has some trouble doing that. if these sopranos were in my school, the men would have a fit along with the choir director.

  • if these sopranos were in my school, the men would have a fit along with the choir director. in our school, the sopranos are perfectionists, the basses are strong, but lazy, the tenors are too fast, and the altos are too quiet.

  • We are doing this at my school. I <3 this medley......

  • It's not "and so i dream again" it is "and do i dream again"

  • @telamon1267 In the Medley music, the lyrics say "and so". My choir is doing this song right now.

  • We're singing this in my glee club and I use this version to practice.

  • my chorus class is doing this and we are doing all of the many solos in the medley unlike this one. this one also seems to be going quite fast. overall i think it was very nice.

  • ii qoo to a qirlsz schooll . && itss way lowder && richerr soundszz - ____ -

  • wow

  • I've performed this medley twice, in two separate choirs. Once, about 2 years ago, in honors chorus at my high school. The second time, I performed in a community choir. One of the tenors and I sang the part of All I Ask of You that was in the medley as a duet. It was one of the few times I ever got really nervous. I think part of it had to do with the fact that I'm a better alto than soprano. Still, it was an honor to sing selection's from ALW's most popular musical.

  • was this at a competition in hershey?

  • We are doing the same one for Cabaret~~ Great job guys!

  • We r doin a POTO medley for my choir!!!

  • ITENSE SOPRANO AT THE END!!!!!!!

  • It seems kind of rushed. At 8:45. It sounds much better better when it's slowed down, So you can feel the power of this song. It's incredible when done with the right conductor.

  • My high school concert choir is doing this full medley at our next concert. It's my absolute favorite song we've done. I love it so much.

  • my college chamber singers class is doing piece

  • Sopranos are kind of over powering but the guys are great i wish i had some of these guys in my choir class im like the only one who sings

  • hahah my choir is way better,

  • 9 people are fuckingblind

  • We did this for our concert last year, and for a small fall community concert! Sooooooooo much fun! XD

  • This is beast. Way better than my school lol

  • GREAT job, but the sopranos really need to turn it down and guys try singing so that the sound goes out, not up. Try opening you mouth more. Think of me needs too be a solo

  • the sopranos need to turn it down??

But...I think the guys should open their mouths wide...

Voice from a guy can at least beats 5 girls...

  • wow.. wonderful.. i wish i could sing.. if only a little

  • This is great guys! Our school is doing this for our fall concert(:

    I love the sopranos, wonderful!

  • Comment removed

  • I had to -play- this in my band. >_< Alto Saxaphone.

  • We did this in chior!!!! It was SOOOOO fun!! :D

  • This is such a fun medley to sing! I have just done it with my choir. We did it in a concert on a Wednesday and I joined the choir on the Moday. Half an hour of practice for me and then I had to sing the whole thing without words or music. Quite difficult! That top A is also pushing it a bit for me. Our choir only has about 20 people in it. That was 3 boys covering all the bass parts, 3 altos and 16 soprano's. Our ages ranged between 11 and 16. We did it though!

  • its 'and do i dream again" not "and so I dream again" but besides that its very good I love the harmony!!

  • i remember doing this peace, they should make those vowels darker more of an aw not ah, but my chorus was massive when we did this 260 students lol

  • wow, it was rlly good. the only thing different from my chamber choir thts doing this peice it "all i ask of you" is a solo for a boy and girl. i got ths girls part. the boys sound relly good!

  • oh my god ouch, that last note.

the sopranos need to huuuush a bit.

  • Our version is almost the same but in The Angel of Music (The Mirror) they cut out the "Flattering child you shall know be, see why in shadow I hide, look at your face in the mirror I am there inside..."

Which sucks because thats my favorite part : (

  • omg my middle school mixed choir had the same medley! too bad im in treble...

(Sir) Andrew Lloyd Webber is my hero :)

  • The vowels need to be bette rbut an overall good performance

  • Great job Tenors and Basses. =]

  • You can't really hear the alto that good when its all in unison.

  • watch your vowels. it felt weird with the guys singing think of me and wishing you were somehow here again. i think only the girls should have sang those songs. especially watch vowels in both angel of music songs. it was kinda weird how the songs were mashed up. it sounded kind of emotionless. But you guys are way better than some people in my choir.

  • loved it very good keep it up. and your wrong and right you can tell the different between the sopranos altos and both of them well I can as I had sing lessons but that's not a problem. and yes your all so right the medley is lovely and no I don't think that they need to turn of sopranos, and Mr Webber wrote the music foals to so that did very will indeed. well done to all of you.

  • them sopranos r blowin GET IT!!!!

  • i really like the guys part, apperences matter too though, the girl in front with the clasped hands and skirt sticks out a bit, a pet peve of mine. i think they sound really nice though, i love the high note at the end, she hit it so good, even with just computer speakers!

  • i remember my 7th grade choir did this! My friend and i were like freaking out cause we love phantom of the opera!

  • lovely medley. the sopranos need to turn it down a bit. my choir is also having the same problem, but we have gr. 7-12, so we have more people singing -_-'

but i admit, your guys are a lot more experienced and well supported than the ones we have in choir.

i love the transitions of this piece. T_T i don't want to give back the sheet music at the end of the year...

  • the sopranos are over powering everybody

  • you might be hearing the melody. I'm doing this same song right now and they have the melody pretty much the whole time. although, I'm not the best judge of the harmony, admittedly, because I'm singing Alto for this.

  • Our choir's doing this but its kinda suckish...nice, uhm, bow ties btw, if thats what those are

  • i love when the guys sing

  • whenever i search for this i always see that its always high school thats playing this. were playing this in CMS. god job tho (;

  • i love this junk man

  • i just sang this today!!!

  • This medley is great. My class sang it in the beginning of January at a Newyears-concert, and we got the greatest response I've ever heard. :D

  • Wow u couldn't tell if it was the sopranos altos or both bur they rly need to tube it down. I could barely just barely hear the guys, My choir director is doing this exact same peace but he always changes things and cuts things out and I gotta say tht I much prefer the way my choir is doing it, otherwise theycgav beautiful voices nice job :)

  • @tpttpt324

Well theres at least three times as many girls in this choir as there are males...

  • @tpttpt324 I can hear the baratones perfectly. But maybe it's because i am a bass/baratone and i am use 2 listening to tht part. and we did this too. we had like 9 guys, 20 alto and 30 saprano... so it was hard to blend evenly

  • @tpttpt324 It was mostly the sopranos, altos have a difficult part in this piece and the notes are a bit tough too belt out. The sopranos have higher notes so they just belt it out, they can't really tone it down too much. The baritones and tenors did wonderful, I heard their part the whole piece. It was beautiful. My choir sings this at some concerts and every Friday at the end of the year is "Phantom Friday" for us :) . My school is one of the top in the country for music :D

  • I LOVE THIS SONGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!

  • my chorus sung it last year in middle school and we sounded great singing it even as middle scholers. love the medely!

  • doing the same arrangement for chorus :)

  • @nicoleeeex7 yeahh nicole!

  • My choir is currently learning this, though we may not preform it. It depends on if we are doing another concert or not before graduation, with any luck we will because this is the one performance i would not mind doing.

  • my chorus is singing this song this year...i love it

  • me too........ it great:)

  • aww i sang this last year in choir. we didnt do the point of no return part. and i had a solo in think of me! =]

p.s. that one voice singing the high note at the end. AMAZING.

    Ya'll sound fabulous. :]

  • OhMyGosh.

    Ya'll are AMAZING!!

    Really...it's awesome. :]

  • well... the sapranos' voices drown out the altos' voices

but the tenors back down so the basses can be herd

  • Soprano's always do.

    because they suck!

  • agreed. GO ALTOS!

  • Must of been soprano's that gave 2 thumbs downs to my previous comment

    HAHAHA!

Alto's are real women [[flexes biceps]].

Or as my choir teacher calls us, Amazon Women.

  • yeah alto's efinately rock!!

  • Altos...aren't bad, but sopranos are better. ^__^

  • Really good. :0)

My choir is doing this soon too.

I'm so jealous of you're tenors, I wish we had some.

  • eh i would prefer it with solos personally.

    3/5

  • my choir has solo's... they're really good

  • wow those r the same clothes my band has=]

  • bravo!!!

  • the only thing i have to say is: wow

my choir has to sing it in a few month and we are hardly half so good

    respect

  • i can hardly to listen to alto..

  • you guys were amazing! we're doing this song in my choir and my choir conducter would kill for vowel sounds and harmony like that!
